We stayed her 3 nights before and 2 nights after our cruise from La Romana. Room leads to sun terrace with splendid seaview. Simple but tasty breakfast. Frank is the very friendly host ! If you want an authentic Dominincan feeling , far away from the 5 star all -inn resorts we can recommend highly this place ! Thank you Frank for a wonderful stay !

Frank is a great host in Villa la Isla, he found an unique combination between wine tasting and guest house. He turned the villa into a little museum with hundreds of books and magazines and thousands of wine labels. Frank was in the nineties a very good somelier in Belgium and for years the best one in the Benelux. Wine is his passion and he can talk for hours about it. In his guesthouse he offers his guests a selection of international wines at a very low cost, I believe it started at $12 a bottle wich is insane. It was a very pleasant experience to enjoy wine in a Caribbean atmosphere. For me it was a perfect concept and unique in the Dominican Republic !
