Hello, I was a guest at the hotel from June 7th to June 15th 2019 in Room 304 (view from the pool - mini kitchenette) with my partner. Service, Room, Food and Value = Excellent! - Relaxing; - Comfortable; - Clean; - Wifi; - Air conditioning work well; - Hot water; - The staff is amazing; - The food is delicious; - Good wine selection (not included - France, California, Italy etc...). Our favorite was Mouton Cadet, France; - Safe - lots of security; - The hotel is a short walk from the Multi Plaza (shopping center); A special *Thank you to Angel David* (employee at the bar and restaurant). He is the best employee! He and the Manager organized a special evening and a dinner for our last day. A special *Thank you to Maria*. She works very hard to make sure the hotel grounds and the rooms are clean. The staff works very hard to maintain the hotel grounds which is pristine. I had an amazing and memorable stay. I will definitely come back. I cannot provide any negative comments. * Please remember to tip. The employees are working very hard to please you. Keloke - KLK (A spanish version of Whats'Up) & Cheers!

After a week long stay I can say that the staff worked with our large group to accommodate us as much as possible. The room I had was big and comfortable to spread out in, hot showers, and a mini kitchenette with fridge. I understand that they recently went under new management and the staff was friendly. The bar only takes credit card or pesos so be prepared for that. The air condition worked extremely well; So well I had to turn it off a few times to warm the room up. The pool was nice and clean. The hotel is a short walk from the Multiplex (walk in a group of you do this). Overall, the stay was nice and the staff did a great job. Our group will probably stay here again on our future trips to La Romona. Oh and I can’t forget our morning greeters (The two pups)! :)

I recently stayed here for a week with a large group of people. The rooms were clean, cool, and comfortable. The TV and wi-fi worked; I did have hot water although I did have to let it run a while to get it. I had a mini-fridge which I stocked and it kept my drinks nice and cold. The pool area, bar area, and courtyard were great spaces for our large group to hang out and relax. The staff was nice and very accommodating and they worked very hard to make this stay a great experience. As previous reviewers stated, this hotel is under new management and I felt like the service got better and better every day. If you are looking for a luxury hotel this is not it. But, if you are looking for something clean, comfortable and affordable this would be a great place to consider.

Just finishing week long stay and I’ve been very pleased with the hotel. Our room is always clean and we’ve had no issues. The grounds are well kept. I’ve enjoyed to bar and pool. New management has been very accommodating. We’ll be back again.

We stayed here a week and waited for the service to improve, but repeatedly waited an hour or more for the meal we ordered. The staff are friendly, but there must be only 1 person in the kitchen prepping and cooking.

The staff at the lobby is truly kind and helpful. But, the cleaning team is loud since they arrive early in the morning and there is no 'Do not bother/ Please clean up' sign, so they occasionally open the room to see if they can get in. The breakfast not as expected. It is something you can make at home, really simple and bored. The staff at the restaurant is kind, but they do not offer a logical response towards a situation related to seats (no many tables). No hot water in the room. Nonetheless, AC is perfect. Good location.

In a city, you can find many hotel options. When you go to a hotel with no distinctive elements or amenities and prices are low, is a cheap option. When you go to a hotel as Hostal Silvestre, with simple elegance, a minimalistic design, good quality amenities and good prices, you found an affordable option. I have stayed here several times for work, and every time I feel respected, well treated, a clean and comfortable room, and good amenities. Strongly recommended for business Travellers and simple 2-Day Vacations!

The place looks good from the outside and the young receptionist was lovely. But: * The check in took us literally 4 hours (waiting for the room to be ready and cleaned). * Once the room ready, the towels were missing. * The pillow cases were missing and it looked just nasty.. * The taps were not cleaned (dried toothpaste, stain and calcareous). Another couple had a sink in the bathroom without the tap. * The toilet itself is leaking at the bottom. * Water was quite heavily dripping down from the toilet upstairs down to our bathroom. * Breakfast is included in the price. It is served on a plate, not a buffet like all the other hotels so the choice is very limited as you can only be served once: * Fruits+corn flakes; * Fried cheese+mashed potato; * Egg+plantain banana; * Scrambled egg (just 1 egg) and bacon (half a slice of a sausage) and croissants; * Porridge It is supposed to be starting at 7:30, but it wasn't even served at 8:15. When I asked when it was gonna be ready, the staff answered 5-10 minutes. Another 20 minutes passed and it still wasn't ready. We had a cruise booked so couldn't wait any longer.. * There is no hot water. * Wifi wasn't working on the first day (out of 2 days). * We got a junior suite, garden view. It is NOTHING like the pictures.. there is no view, the only window in the room was a small bathroom-kind-window covered with dirt and something like paint or mud. Suggestion: if you have to come to this "hotel" get a pool view, they have proper Windows. There is so much to improve it this hotel.. The only nice thing was the pool area with several corners to enjoy some time out with some privacy. The basics of a hotel have clearly been forgotten (proper rooms, proper bathrooms, the cleaning, the service..) Pictures show the only window in the room, the unfinished bathroom ceiling (water from upstairs toilet leaks through the square spot), cracked and dirty walls, the bathroom tap, scrambled egg and bacon breakfast.

I stayed here because of the convenience to the proximity to the town. I paid to stay for one week. The first day my husband found housekeeping laying on the couch in the bedroom on her cell phone. The second day I came to find my room door opened, my iPad missing and everything that was inside the iPad cover my credit cards and US$2,000 cash. They don't have real security cameras that work (I have the police report to prove it) and the staff including the manager were all accusing us instead of finding out who stole our stuff. I gave her my apple info to track my iPad and it was wiped clean. Do not stay here!! If you do, beware of your valuables! Do not trust anyone in the staff! I left on the third day ! They never refunded me the rest of the money. On the contrary she tried to charge me for water I had already paid for. Smh!! They don't clean the pool at all! Be careful getting in there.
