What a quaint little hotel in the heart of La Romana. Frano and his wife went above and beyond to ensure we had good food to eat, clean rooms, and even activities to participate in. The entire staff was super sweet and friendly, and if they couldn't fulfill a request they figured out a way we could. Thank you Frano...

During our stay in Hotel Frano in La Romana, we got to know Mr. and Mrs. Frano personally. They are so funny and friendly! Franos went out of their way to make us feel at home! My kids were craving some hot instant noodles and he somehow managed to find them for us! The hot water in the shower is...

We stayed here a week on a mission trip and had a wonderful experience. Proprietor Frano and his wife are delightful people whom we will never forget. Frano speaks excellent English and you will have no trouble communicating with him. The food, home-cooked by Frano and his wife, was authentic and excellent. The hotel was spotless, rooms comfortable with an...

Only cold water in the shower, wifi did not work, staff was rude and made us pay even though our reservations were paid for and set up by the airlines earlier, our room door did not even lock, and it was in the middle of a very sketchy part of town. Although, the food was good.

If looking for a cheap and acceptable place to sleep for a night it is fine. They have secure parking, breakfast was included and ok. The air conditioners worked fine and the folks were friendly and helpful. Would stay again if just needed a place to crash for a night. We went for a concert at Altos de Chavon so...

Good: The TV was fantastic, lots of premier films to watch from a choice of 30+ channels. The breakfast was fruit juice and a ham and cheese hot baguette - basic but good. The room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable with clean sheets. The on-suite was dated but clean and there was a very quiet...

I had the pleasure of staying here while on a mission trip with my wife and 7yo. Very clean and the AC works fabulously (very cold!), that's a huge plus in the DR! Food is 5-Star too! Felt very safe and secure. The owner Frank and his family are very accommodating. I will only stay here when in La Romano.

This hotel was a fun experience. The owner is quite an entertainer. The rooms were clean though oddly set up. They cooked great local food for our group. The location was conveniently near the boat landing to go to Catalina Island.

Our mission trip group stayed two nights here. The hotel staff was very efficient and friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The hot water took a long time to reach our room. The food was very local and tasted good. We felt very safe.
