We were originally supposed to go to turks but it got canceled due to our covid test expiring.... I came here specifically to right a review about the servers- Robert dniro gave the best service we’ve ever had he was SO happy funny and just a breath of fresh air. Our favorite restaurants were the Oceanside buffet for breakfast and the Brazilian for dinner! The servers do a great job and I would come back because they were that good. I would have given it 5 stars however the management could use some help. We wanted to upgrade our drinks and couldn’t because the “diamond package” was full but was tossed around between multiple different people before we could get an answer. If guests want to give the resort money they should find a way to only allow upgrading drinks. Especially with covid I think being a bit more friendly and coordinated would have helped. In addition better signage for where to go for covid testing and the ability to schedule online would have been nice. Overall food was amazing, rooms were clean, and so was the beach, we had a great time.…

Room: We had a two bedroom presidential suite in diamond club. This is a great option for families or girls trips, as it has plenty of space and 3 bathrooms for getting ready. We also stayed here in Jan 2020 and obviously some things were different. Food/beverage: There were less restaurants open, but the food quality was not compromised. The food was still very good, as it was last year. Our favorite food was the smoked chicken that they had at the lazy river grill. We asked the guys there how to make it, and they were very friendly! A few guys from the buffet and the night restaurants who really made our experience amazing were Robert "Deniro", Leonardo Caballero, and Carlos/"Jackie Chan" (from Zen). Milagros at the pool also made sure our drinks never went dry. Joel is the "sommelier" and did an excellent job helping us choose a bottle (or a few) of wine each night. All of these people made it a point to learn guests names and really made us want to continue coming back to this specific resort. Activities: Rather than having a "vibe team" they had an outside company doing activities, and they were awesome. You could be doing an activity the entire day if you wished. They also have a great fitness instructor, Fabio, who does classes in the pool and in the gym. The hotel also has a WaveRider- in the past it was open to everyone, but due to Covid is only open to Diamond club and those who rent it out. We rented it out for an hour each day of our stay. It was definitely the highlight of the kids trip. Alin, the lifeguard was so nice and taught them so many things. He literally gave me the shirt off of his back so that I could go on the ride and protect my modesty lol. Alin is the type of person that any company wants on their team.…

With the state of the world being in a pandemic, we were extremely apprehensive about taking our annual anniversary trip, but the Royalton Bavaro provided a welcome respite. We reserved a swim out suite which was spacious, clean, up to date, and perfect for our stay. The staff was incredible with almost everyone being friendly and helpful we ate most of our meals at the Oceanside buffet, as some of the restaurants on property weren’t open daily. Johan was standout at night, always coming up with new drinks to try. Alexander and Ramon really took care of us when we were on the beach during the daytime. One major isssue was the new COVID testing being done in the hotel. While it was very convenient to test right there in the hotel, I would recommend setting up your test as soon as you check in. There was some confusion with appointment times and also getting results, but the hotel worked hard to get everything situated. This is a great hotel with an amazing staff costumer service the beach is clean with sandy....!the food is amazing at the differnts restaurants with many options....!the entertainment team was on top we did yoga and other activities with brasil,the best one at xtasis servives
