Club Med Punta Cana garners appreciation for its plentiful amenities, including serene Zen Oasis and picturesque beaches, with its location being a highlight for its convenience and beauty. However, some guests have voiced concerns regarding noise disturbances and the need for improvements in facilities. The hotel's atmosphere receives mixed reviews, with vibrant activities for some, while others find the social offerings lacking. Guests frequently cite room cleanliness and maintenance as areas needing attention, and while the service is often commendable, inconsistencies are noted. Many feel the resort does not provide sufficient value for the cost.

Stayed 2 weeks in July, with 2 teenagers. Warm humid climate with a few rains that pass quickly, perfect.
We had booked 2 superior rooms but they are extremely aging, bathroom with mold and bad smell, not at all to the minimum quality height expected for a Club Med (and for the far too high price).
Fortunately, Gaëtan in customer service made sure to offer us alternatives, and the superb RYM continued the work wonderfully always with a smile, kindness, benevolence and availability throughout our stay.
Thank you very much Rym because you have a real relationship quality indispensable to your job, and it is a pleasure as a customer to have had to deal with you.
We therefore opted for a renovated deluxe family room (for an extra charge but with commercial gesture), and here again it seemed to us to have arrived in a heavenly atmosphere...
The restaurant Hispaniola is beautiful, renovated, we take each of our meals overlooking the sea... simple food, quality and very clean, the restaurant staff goes to great lengths to satisfy us all by this heat, really bravo to them.
We have never eaten at Samana, less visually attractive despite its central location with evening entertainment.
The indigo, smaller, is very well placed on the sea too but with a lounge atmosphere.
On the activity side we take advantage of the tennis lessons and the very good quality lessons given by GOs always very pleasant and available, we had more particularly to do with Julien and Nayel, thanks again to you were at the top, but we do not forget Germain and Ramon always smiling, always full also, thanks.
As for our teenagers, it’s very simple... we hardly saw them during the stay. Always eager to find the friends of the teen club but especially their super GO Lolo, who is super invested with them and shows a real kindness with teenagers and knows how to approach each of them according to the concerns of their ages... and the griefs after leaving some friends! Thank you very much for our children Flora and Robin.
As for excursions, they are excessively expensive for our taste, although we are at Club Med (we have always traveled to beautiful resorts at equivalent prices and made very nice excursions without one of them coming back to us at almost 900€ to 4, without even a lobster included in the meal...).
It’s a shame, because without this feeling of being abused we might have spent more than reason on excursions.
Otherwise, overall the Club Med Punta Cana is super complete for a family, the beach is very beautiful, activities are numerous and the resources invested in entertainment and equipment are to be emphasized.
We can’t name all the adorable GOs we met (like Richie and Donalson and so many others)
but we would like to highlight the shadow work of our so bright Rosanna, who took care of the cleaning of our room every day with extraordinary helpfulness and always smiling despite the arduousness of her work, the Incarnate Goodness, thank you!

The club is very large, magnificent beaches, blue water, multiple activities for everyone, very good restaurants, varied and very beautiful presentations, very helpful, smiling staff.
A special mention for Adel and Amy for fitness, step and muscle strengthening which are very dynamic.
Mention also for Mamadou, Ronny and jojo at the super welcoming and helpful sailing club as well as for nine.
Nice archery but too bad the arrows are not in good condition and the advice is only given at the beginning and then nothing more.
Very good reception at tennis too.
Regarding aquagym dynamic team the 2nd week because the first less well movements not suited to aquagym plus dancing.
We were able to see rays, a turtle, a pelican and especially whales from the kayak and from the beach.
Also nice was the kayak excursion with a stop at the natural swimming pool but too bad no fish.
Nice mini golf, too bad we can't do it at night.
Super well maintained parks and gardens.
Otherwise as for our room we were in a good location but opposite the restaurant so in the very early morning there was the horn and the sound of trucks reversing and the sound of glass being thrown, too bad… Bed which creaked a lot but nothing was done, rooms very spacious, sea view and very well cleaned.
Be careful with wifi, it disconnects very often and is only valid for 7 days.
It's a shame otherwise that we can't go for a walk on the beaches outside the club med and that the prices for wing, kite and excursion are very high and that advice during wing lessons is reduced.
Golf isn't golf, it's just a green with a few holes, but I don't call it golf.
It’s a shame that the wing is not included like in Miches and that you have to pay 25 dollars for 1 hour of assistance if you have your own equipment and that the price of the lockers is high to store your equipment.
In any case, two fireworks displays during our stay because we were there for independence, beautiful theme evenings, superb circus shows, Mikael Jackson and Las Vegas. Also nice are the barbecues on the beach and the foam entertainment.
In short, 10 days with wonderful families!
Thank you for this change of scenery and these magical moments and these beautiful memories.

The place is magnificent. The restaurant and bar areas overlooking the sea are spacious, trendy and quite upscale, which is not the case for the rooms, which are large but obsolete. Musty odors due to outdated air conditioning. Electric comes and goes which does not work, To charge the phone all the lights must be on so not at night...and at night to have light on the bed wall light to read everything must be on, including toilet!
As the French ad says: it’s Versailles!!!!
Safe with shrill noise that I was changed...
The club is aimed at families, with a circus activity area for children and a mini club. So not suitable for solo travelers.
NEVERTHELESS, I greatly enjoyed my stay.
As there is space, you can have a peaceful lunch or dinner with a stunningly beautiful blue sea view. As beautiful as in the Seychelles, my personal must...
The remarkable Enrique GO directed me during two meals shared with him to the Oasis Zen space where the bar and the swimming pool are fabulous, calm, luxury and voluptuousness.
Extra ambient music, often jazzy.
Singer on a Sunday evening with a remarkable voice and quality aperitifs.
Arriving and leaving on a Wednesday, I was not able to make the excursion to Santo Domingo, so Enrique spoke to me about his island and its history with a lot of culture and intelligence. Haitian literature, etc.
A GO worthy of some GMs 😄
The French clientele is different from the North American clientele which is the mainstay of this club since Air France no longer serves the island.
I would also like to thank Sebastiani and Bertrand at reception, always very kind and dedicated with my trunk problems, wifi, etc. wifi which can be random...
Impeccable housekeeping, cleaning lady and the person responsible for technical problems fast and efficient.
I was in room 457.
Finally quality lunch and dinner buffets.
Nothing exceptional but it's varied and good which given the size of the club is an achievement...
Excellent desserts. Lack of fresh fruit juice at breakfast.
First experience at Club Med.
I think there are better in terms of value for money but I really enjoyed my vacation!!!!
Only downside and size 🤣
I dance at least 15 hours a week in France and the evenings are shockingly useless.
Dancing with the GOs is watching the GOs do basic steps from behind. 30 minutes without looking at us and making the holidaymakers dance in pairs....🤔🤔🤔. We could see that some were dancing extremely well...
Uninteresting shows, even dramatically insulting to the local culture...

The Punta Cana Club Med has a privileged location and the hotel strives to avoid sargassum in the bathing area.
The landscape is very beautiful, and the buildings converse with nature, which makes the visual environment very pleasant.
However, a series of factors need to be improved to truly make it a best value for money:
1. Add value to rooms that have not been remodeled and improve the cleanliness of rooms and bathrooms.
2. Improve customer service, which appears to have been significantly neglected.
3. Improve the quality and diversity of meals at breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as the cleaning of restaurant counters and tables.
4. Ensure that the conditions of the company that ClubMed subcontracts for nautical reports really meet the expected standards.
5. Improve the content and functionality of the app so that it truly allows the digitalization of services and reservations (even in case of subcontracting) for the benefit of the client.
Currently, Club Med provides services of very average quality, and can overcome this shortcoming given the natural beauty of the environment. It is time to take the necessary actions to comply with what you offer: best value for money with the client or guest at the center.

This is our second time at Club Med, the first time (Guadeloupe - La Caravelle) we were not really impressed by the facilities of the room which was quite old considering the price paid but here in Punta Cana, it was much WORSE!!!! We had a room at the other end of the resort on the 3rd or 4th floor even though I was pregnant and with a 3 year old child, not really practical with a stroller. We asked to change rooms to be on the ground floor, which was done except that the air conditioning did not work! The heat was unbearable. We had already lost 3 hours after a long trip waiting for a new room, the next morning, we lost another 3 hours having to stay with a technician in the room to try to repair it. Needless to say, the stay started off badly. In the end, it was never repaired and we managed to get an air conditioner after 2/3 nights of dying from the heat. Except that with the fan and the humidity, we had the impression of sleeping in soaked clothes, it was very unpleasant. We went on vacation, mainly to rest, and we slept very badly! The room (CORTES 022) was also very dilapidated, the bathroom, the joints, the tiles, the peeling paint, the curtains that fell, the loose light fixtures that didn't work... really not impressed - always at considering the price of the stay. I think we had the crappiest room in the resort. So I would say that at this level, it's you and your luck. However, we enjoyed the food (with the new restaurant L'hispaniola which is very beautiful, modern, well decorated). At this level nothing to say, lots of choice and diversity, the quality was there with new offerings every day, fish, meats etc. However, an improvement could be made in terms of crepes/pancakes/French toast in the morning and desserts, it was not often good. A big favorite also for the beachside restaurant, l'indigo, very very nice! No need to make reservations for lunch and we ate so well! The staff always very nice. In terms of swimming pool and beach, it was OK - except for the people who came running early in the morning to put their towels at the Zen oasis and on the beach. From 9am(!!!), all the deckchairs were already taken, not by people but by towels, sunscreen or flip-flops... while no one was in the swimming pool or the sea.

We stayed from 31.08 to 08.08.2024 at Club Med de Punta Cana, it was a pleasant stay with very mild weather for a month of September, beautiful sunny days punctuated by a few brief showers especially at the end of the day, but nothing that can prevent the Things to do by the sea is sporty.

Our room was a superior family room close to the Zen oasis, the room was very sober but clean with some gaps such as the lack of a towel rail in the bathroom as well as very high humidity if the air conditioning was cut, the decor is very minimalist and everything deserves a refreshment.

The beach (completely private) is superb and huge, the water is sublime.
Superb swimming pools including the Zen area, a haven of peace and tranquility.

The staff is very caring, all GO are really great, a big thank you especially to Ricardo, Nine, Laurence and Johnson
Thanks also to Romain, always full of good humor, always present in all places of the village, always ready to meet our requests and especially top to set the mood.
The buffets are of very good quality and very varied, the restaurant à la Carte l’Indigo was also of very good quality, but it’s a shame that the restaurant Samana was closed.

The many Things to do were great thanks to the quality of GO (Riccardo, Nine and Laurence) and the entertainment and shows were just perfect.
Special mention for the diving club team who made us discover the seabed of beauty, just near the beach.

Without hesitation we would return to Club Med de Punta Cana, the place is wonderful and the team on top.

First experience for us at the club med, we went as a couple with 2 children aged 6 and 2.5 years. Clearly the place is magnificent, whether it is the beach, the restaurants or the facilities, nothing to say, everything is done to make life easier for families and for us to make the most of it.
We put our children in the mini club and small club every other day, an ideal compromise to both enjoy the family and relax on the days when the children are looked after. For my big, very good experience she was happy to go, for my little one the separation was a little harder but then for having spied on her a little it seemed okay (it really depends on the character of the child ). Thank you to all the small and mini animators for allowing us to breathe we needed it :) and very flexible on schedules!
We also did the “Dominican color” excursion very well to see a little of the real life of the country (on the other hand, to do it again I would have done it without the children because it was a bit long for them).
Regarding the restaurants, I liked Hispaniola (main buffet completely renovated) and Indigo (at the beach), they are quite varied and very pretty - on the other hand, I didn't really like the samana, for me there's not much interest in going there ( basically it's a bit like Hispaniola but less well laid out and with less choice).
As for the superior family rooms, I was a little afraid after reading some comments, so yes I understand that for the price some are disappointed, particularly regarding the dilapidation of the showers, but very sincerely the rooms are very good with a small terrace and a space for children separated by a curtain, very well maintained by an adorable cleaning lady (small fresh flowers every day as decoration on the bed:)) and above all we are almost never in the rooms except to sleep and the beds are comfortable . We were lucky to be located close to the mini club, so very central with everything nearby.
The spa was great, the masseuses were very professional, I hesitated because it was very expensive but I didn’t regret it! Go there with your eyes closed!
The 2 swimming pools are great, I loved the zen with the girls at the bar who make the best cocktails!
The club/airport transfers were very on time and fast, on the way back we had the plane at 10 p.m. so we were able to benefit (at my request) from a “check out later” and keep the room for free until 5 p.m. (instead of 11 a.m.) was very nice, it allowed us to fully enjoy the club until the last moment. In short, we leave with pockets full of memories and it is certain that I will repeat my club med experience here or elsewhere :) in any case as long as I have young children I find that it is really the best option (even if This has a certain cost!! The price of free spirit and peace of mind :) ).

While an old resort, great location with an amazing beach and buildings have an authentic beach resort feel. Stayted in Colon which is renovated with two rooms one for us and one for kids.

Service was mostly good with some standouts. Youness the manager and Rosa (or Ana and can't remember full name) a server at Hispaniola were amazing. Freddy and Miguel at La Cave were great, while, Ibo, Mourad and Artem were attentive. The GO team in general went above and beyond.

Food was pretty good for an all inclusive and frankly better than most "five star" resorts I've stayed at in the Carribbean that have 10 horrible / mediocre restaurants (served by one kitchen). Different options every night, great cevice, good dinner options for kids and grown ups, could upgrade to better wine which we did at times. House vino not so bad. The beach was amazing, no seaweed as they've installed barriers and the water was gorgeous. The expeditions were pricey but they left from the beach at the resort, no sketchy transport to some dirty dock somewhere. Nightly shows mostly good esp the acrobatic ones.

Overall a great experience. No faux / wannabe luxury pretense and what a beach vacation should be. Second time here and will come back again.

This is our 4th stay in a Club Med. To date we are not in a position to want to repeat the experience.
When we arrived, the room was beautiful and overlooked the sea. Very quickly we saw that there was a problem with the air conditioning in our children's room (it was making noise and the floor of the room was wet ). The next day we asked to change rooms. We were told that the air conditioning would be repaired during the day. Except that in the evening, the floor of this room was wet again.

While my family is at the pool, I return to the room and see the maid going through my backpack that was on the floor, in which my fanny pack was also. I come out telling myself that I misinterpreted what I had just seen. When I came back thirty seconds later, his hands were still in my bag. I asked her (in English) what she was doing and her name, she replied: No comprehension and gave me back my bag.
I quickly went to report it to the personnel and security manager, we also asked to be changed rooms.
After wasting time repacking our 4 bags, waiting until 5 p.m. for the room to become available, we were given a room with a view of a building whereas before we had seen the sea. We returned to reception to express our dissatisfaction , we were told that there were no other rooms and that we would be offered another one the next day.
It's time to go to bed, and there, the icing on the cake, we hear the music from the club until 1 a.m., as if our windows were wide open.
When reporting this to Bérénice the next day, she told us that she was aware that certain rooms had this issue but that she had no other room to offer us.

Added to this is the Tourista who joined our vacation (hygiene leaves something to be desired on the site), the moldy butter that I opened at my breakfast one morning. A lady actually came to make the same comment to one of the chefs. Also added is the lack of hot water in the bathroom for showering.
The empty glasses piling up around the swimming pool (which is not clean and not well maintained), on the beach, along the paths to get to the rooms.

The local staff didn't seem very cheerful and the atmosphere was really heavy in the restaurants. Most of the time we had to clear our plates ourselves. In terms of buffets, it was very disappointing both in terms of the quality of the products and the choices offered (luckily Giovanni's pizzas were there, they were divine).
Very slow service in the a la carte restaurant (1 hour watch in hand). So yes we are on vacation, but an hour of waiting for 2 young children is a very long time.
Note that in the morning we had to queue 1 hour before the reservation opening to be able to eat there in the evening.

We did not feel safe in this club. We were in a hurry to get home. We return more tired than before our vacation, with a bitter taste in our mouths about the price we paid for this stay. Absolutely nothing justified this price.

I would happily recommend this hotel to anyone traveling with children. The rooms (we had the most basic room type) were perfectly set up for traveling with two children, the food was excellent, and the beach had enough surf to keep my 5 and 7 year old sons entertained but was calm enough that we could all happily swim out to the buoys and back regularly.

Neither of my children did mini club med (the day camp that most of the children at the resort seemed to do) but we had a great time doing the Amazing Family program (arts and crafts at 11 each day and pizza making and soccer in the afternoons). I think if I had expected my kids to do mini club I might have been disappointed by the lack of enthusiasm of many of the people who worked with the kids. The people who worked with the children who were 6 and 7 seemed quite uninterested in their charges and like they would rather be doing something else. Their attitude is the reason I wouldn’t give the resort 5 stars. But given that my kids didn’t participate in mini club med, we all had a wonderful time and would happily come back. It was very nice having lifeguards at the pools because it meant that I could read my book a bit while the kids played on the slides in the pool, knowing that someone else would blow a whistle if they tried to run near the pool or jump when they weren’t supposed to.

For my next trip, I will plan to pack robes and slippers for the kids and me so that we don’t track as much sand from our swimsuits into the room when we go in for a rest after lunch. I was happy we packed water bottles so that I could fill our bottles up and avoid some of the plastic bottles.
