This is our 3rd Riu, others in Jamaica and Riviera Maya, Mexico. Macao is really a solid Adult resort. Some topless on the beach, but handled tastefully. While Buffet was considerably above average, the individual restaurants were below expectations. Grounds handsome with a giant beach with manageable wave for water activities. Plenty of beach chairs at pool or at beach....

My husband and I went to the Riu Palace Macao 4/20-4/25/17 to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary. Upon check in we were given wristbands that had to be worn 24/7-just like a kid at an amusement park. Very annoying. Then we were told that we did not pay for a room with a beach view- even though our travel representative...

There is no option for the dates we stayed only 2016 We last stayed at the Riu Place Macao in April/May 2015 and we are returning on May 22nd 2017 to celebrate our anniversary.. I have been very lax in not reviewing before. Better late than never I guess so here goes. Time getting through the airport to the hotel...

We have stayed at the RIU Palace Macao on about 7 previous occasions. That is a testament to how good the accommodations are and how wonderful the staff or to be more accurate, our Familia are there! Our last stay was a few years ago just after they had completed the renovations that upgraded the conditions of the rooms, the...

Went for our biannual escape from Wisconsin winter. Room was nice but beach was great. Also my wife who had a hip replacement in 2009 dislocated it by a fluke accident getting out of chair. Staff was exceptionally helpful arranging ambulance to hospital and medical staff at resort checked on how we were doing when we got back. Also worked...

We stayed at the Riu Palace Macao in March and had the best time ever. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Our room was clean and modern with a great mini bar. The beach service was excellent. We were never waiting for a drink. The waiters were friendly and pleasant despite working in heavy polyester pants in blistering heat. (I...

We are here for two weeks and have just finished our first week. Our rep sonny for Thomson was great and informative. The reception staff are always helpful and friendly. The animation team work very hard. Variety of shows in the evening. Michael Jackson very good! The main buffet is varied with lots of choice and fresh. The Japanese restaurant-...

I hate to be one of those whiny, entitled, narcissistic sounding reviewers; but my experience with the Riu Palace Macao was absolutely terrible! I just want to make sure that nobody else makes the same mistake that I did. My wife and I booked the Macao after hearing nothing but positive feedback from coworkers and friends who had been there....

We stayed here for our honeymoon in a junior suite with jacuzzi. I don't recommend getting the jacuzzi upgrade cause its super small and a pain to get going. Room, bed, and shower was great. Food at specialty restaurants and breakfast buffet was good but lunch and dinner buffets were terrible. Back on the bright side the customer service was...

We typically avoid all inclusive resorts because the buffet food is usually mediocre and the noise level is too much for relaxation. The Riu Palace Macao, however, exceeded our expectation. From the great service we received (especially from Windy (or was it Wendy?), who was absolutely amazing), to the entertainment options, and the great food. This turned into one of...
