The hotel does not have a 5-star standard in terms of room cleanliness, but the staff at the NUBE bar are very attentive and make delicious drinks and cocktails. I really liked the top-secret cocktail. The food is OK, the service staff vary greatly in terms of attentiveness, if you're lucky you'll find really top people who are really great. Unfortunately, the check-in staff are not the most competent. You get offered 3 different prices for a room upgrade depending on who you have at the counter. So we skipped the swim-up upgrade. Housekeeping often calls and asks for more refills in the minibar, which is very good. You can get to the beach with a shuttle that runs several times between the lobby and the beach, we never really had to wait. The beach and the sea water are full of seaweed and algae, but the sand is white and very fine. The beach service is OK, if you give them a tip, they often come to you during the day. The spa and the massage were rather average, but the prices are high, which doesn't do the whole thing justice.

Resorts are getting back to their high level of excellence and we actually saw improvement as the week progressed .
If the 3 resorts there we have done them all. All are Excellent this one the Falcon is Newer . The swim up experience suites top notch .
My recommendation is the Falcon
Let’s start with mostly positives
Beautiful new or newer property Wow effect for sure at main lobby and registration Huge 1 and 2 bedroom suites Swim up experience wonderful Big semi private pools Patios and jacuzzi were excellent No complaints on the room AC worked great The Bed is the best there is in no any hotel I ever stated at . Turn down nightly service excellent The staff suite friendly The drinks are excellent and plentiful The grounds were very clean The servers were super friendly
Notable mentions Our assigned Concierge Omar was super . A great example of above and beyond service. Respectful , gracious , affable and super friendly . Top notch in his field.
The Breakfast server at Origin Marylin- Wow what service with a smile . Fantastic
Milagros at customer relations was excellent pre and during our vacation
The below expectations
Longer lines at the buffet than what we were used to Buffet food was ok nothing espectacular Food at times ran out of things or not replaced quick enough Variety was good but repetitive Some of the restaurants like Alula and Magu were not up to par with expectations The other restaurants were great The nightly entertainment was mostly music and family oriented The water park is for 12 years old and under
The horrible - NOTHING
Enjoy it it was the experience of a lifetime as we celebrated a milestone wedding anniversary!!!

We end our family holiday at this hotel. We are happy with our stay, good weather and relaxation was at the rendezvous!
At the reception they try to sell us a VIP upgrade at $800 According to us, it was not worth it! Luggage service #1, a concierge accompanies us to the room to show us the place and facilities. When we arrived there was vomit in the elevator, glasses lying around , the cushions of the deck chairs were dirty ... we were more certain we had made the right choice! But the rest of the stay we found that the place was clean.
We had a Master suite, kitchenette with coffee maker and some drinks, a fridge a little noisy (someone came to settle this) Beautiful full room, comfortable bed , the sofa bed more noisy and less comfortable according to my children! Beautiful full bathroom and large terrace well appointed. We had the view of the central pool.
The food is delicious and varied. The booking system is really to improve, the calendar for the week opens on Sunday morning ... so we didn’t have much choice when we arrived. It’s quite disappointing on this side ... System to review, we had to show up Sunday morning at 7:45 (it opens at 9:00) to book the restaurants (that’s 2 because we arrived on Wednesday earlier ) It spoils a little the holiday mode to set its alarm to go book in the morning! The restaurants are good and the buffet complete and varied!
The beach is beautiful and large. However, there are plenty of boats in front of the hotel... and there is a curb around the swimming area to stop the sargasse... to the eye it is less beautiful! Many sellers come to sell us souvenirs and expeditions... They are quite respectful and not too invasive. Always room available in the shade. However the cushions are due for a little youthful stroke! The shuttle is always available and transportation to the beach takes a few minutes.
There is a lake with lots of turtles, iguanas and birds near the aquapark! Nice walk to go and give bread.
The kids enjoyed the activities of the kid club.
The waiters and employees all work hard and are kind.
I recommend this hotel but very quiet and the lobby was poorly equipped for shows ... I did not like this space. Quality show with experienced musician!
Aquapark is more for young people under 10 years old ...

What a horrible experience. We have traveled to Meliá hotels in the past, explicitly Paradisus Palma real and this is a far cry from the service and cleanliness we were accustomed to. In fact, the resort has since changed names - when we traveled in October 2023 the hotel was branded “Falcon”. This is the third time I have seen a name change since traveling with Meliá.
To start, we were hassled into booking an appointment with the sales team to view their vacation club. It’s upsetting that sales attempts continue when you’ve committed to their resort and spent money to enjoy the beach and accommodations.
Fast forward to night one. This was after changing rooms because of the offensive mildew smell. The AC broke and was on and off all night. As we were told, the hotel was “working on their backup generators.” As we were kn our way to breakfast on the day one, we were on the elevator and the power went out trapping us on the elevator for forty five minutes. Finally, with the help of my husband, we were able to get out as he instructed the staff what to do, what tools were needed and the tools were fed through a tiny hole in the elevator. Forty five minutes in a dark elevator with no AC. It was perhaps one of the scariest moments of my life. After this, the hotel placed a “wet floor” sign in front of the elevator and it was back in service within an hour. We were comped to a swim up suite for our troubles. That was the least the hotel could have done.
By the time day three came around both my husband and I developed a severe food borne illness resulting in the remainder of our trip being spent in our hotel room. The hotel took zero responsibility. We sought medical care from the states via telehealth and were able to get medication upon our return home.
The hotel refunded us three of our eight night stay and offered a discount to return in a year. We have zero interest in returning to this resort and I feel the refund was insufficient due to our troubles. In fact, I had to fight for the refund and follow up via email countless times and include the CEO of Meliá international for any movement. Even during our illness we were pressured to attend the sales meeting.
Such a wild experience.

I decided to rewrite after trip complete. Lots of little issues, supervisor Soribel was excellent in trying to make it good but there is only so much one person can do. First all but buffet require reservation which requires you walk to lobby area and line up to talk to person at bar, sitting by phone, why not by phone or app, it's 2024. Most bars were excellent but food was resoundingly unimpressive. Not a place for foodies. Room wad too warm to sleep, may not be an issue for all. Rooms are locked at 69 degrees, no fans available upon asking. Eventually they had maintenance reduce temp in room to 65 so slept well but it kept resetting back to 69. After literally begging another maintenance guy to reduce it next day got tired of feeling like I had to beg daily to be able to sleep. On checking in was told we had $90 off spa, was never given the coupon, not told was needed, booked spa for all family. They never said anything about needing to apply the discount at the time. Ar check out they confirmed we were entitled to spa discount bur could not be applied at check out had to have been done at spa. Frankly there were so many annoyances with this experience. Rated it 2 because it did look beautiful. Beach is a 15 min walk, there is a shuttle provided however, my daughter has developed a habit of taking a picture at dawn and dusk on vacation but it's to dark to feel safe walking there before dawn and the shuttle does not start that early so couldn't have that experience. For first time in my life on vacation was dying to get home. Oh and they direct you to QR code for room service menu, which did not have any of the food on it. Housekeeping kept taking away used washcloths and not replacing, if it's used we need more. Urghh

One of the best hotels we have stayed at in Puna Cana the week of 8/26/24. From beginning to end we had an amazing vacation and experience. We would like give A BIG SPECIAL THANKS to the many staff that made our stay the best possible, especially our 1year old baby. These individuals went above and beyond our expectations and are an example of excellence in customer service, they are: Bell hop Gerkyn who made us laugh all the way to our room and showed all the features of our room. Hotel Check-in Rep Eva and Lorien who warmly greeted us, provided our hotel bands and gave us all the information for the hotel. Bar server Pedro in the Bar outside Machu. Ronnie from room service. Servers Carmela, Darlin and especially Marilyn! at the Origen buffet - they treated us like family and we will miss them dearly. Main pool server Francisco who always walked by around the pool and made sure we had fresh drinks and made some delicious drinks at that Our housekeeping/room cleaning lady Blesina who made sure our room was always beautiful when we returned in the afternoon. Spa massage reps Evelyn and Jennifer. Machu restaurant servers Deurin who was simply amazing, best service ever from that guy, always happy and smiling and professional, also server Aniris who was super friendly. Pool server Jackson who worked in tandem with Francisco and also provided excellent service. Evening outdoor area servers Jennifer, Miriam who ensured that from 9-11pm we had drinks in our hands and that we were having a good time, and always checked in on us. Special thanks also to Origen buffet food chef Martin who made a chicken & beef fried rice from scratch on the spot! as I waited and it was one of the dishes I ate while there(even took some back to the room so I could have some afterward). In the beach area have to give BIG shout out! to beach drink servers Elvis Santamaria and Leonardo who went above and beyond, treated us like pure family and no request was ever denied, those guys are awesome, apart from making amazing drinks always with a smile. Thanks to rep Raimis from the Architectual department who was always bumping into us and always checking in on us. Servers Samuel and Elisa at Mangu restaurant who gave us excellent service and a culinary class on how the food was prepared, apart from providing excellent service. Photoshoot reps Juan Carlos and Daniel who were simply awesome. Deurin @Karnica, Daniel best mixologist @Nube Bar & Leiry in the activities team, Thank you!

The truth that we would return again and again to this incredible hotel, is a luxury accommodation with unparalleled comfort, service and exclusivity, its infrastructure is beautiful and its distribution makes you feel in an incomparable place, with sophisticated features like smart TVs, complimentary Wi-Fi and luxurious in-room amenities, you are surprised and feel at home and I would venture to say that much more comfortable, excellent staff for room service that ensure that we always had personalized attention and exceptional service.
In our stay they made sure that each of our needs were met with high priority, all the hotel staff who attended us were very courteous and attentive, proactively anticipating the needs that arose.
They have excellent dining options, the children were delighted with the food and all the variety they have on the menu, highlighting that all the food was delicious and very well presented, every restaurant we visited was amazing.
What to say about the wonderful white sandy beach, clean with amazing activities and lifeguard booths, upon arrival we notice the great organization of this beach, restaurant, bathrooms and much more, all thought to anticipate our needs.
One of the places that the little ones liked the most was the amazing water park, not only for children but also for adults, the lifeguards are very attentive and if the children are performing an unsafe act blow their whistle, I really liked that, I knew that not only I was watching my little ones, we enjoyed an amazing family time in this place riding on rotating slides, multilane slides, open slides and much more, we had pools for all ages, in the afternoon we lived the pool party offering an animation show that was great.
Finally, the nightly family shows totally filled our expectations, live instrumental music, dances, paintings for the children, light show, face paint, theme parties and much more, all excellent.
Exceptional attention from Giovanna Rodriguez, Family Concierger Manager, we hope to return very soon to enjoy this incredible experience.

This was my seventh time visiting Punta Cana and I want to tell you that it was the most beautiful experience I have had of all the trips I have made to this beautiful country. I arrived on July 28 until August 6, 2023 and since I arrived I was dazzled by the entrance and the delicious smell that the hotel lobby has. The Falcons staff in general is first class. They treated us like family. I see many reviews where people comment on the rudeness of the hotel staff, but I want to tell you something: they will treat you according to how you treat others. If you are rude to others, expect rudeness; If you give love, you will receive love. These people work for very little money, but they go out of their way to make your stay the best, which was my case. I entered with a Beyond room with swim up, which is spectacular, with comfortable pillows and bedding, and I left as a member of the Circle Red program. That's how incredible and fantastic my experience was. Raul Mota was my Beyond concierge and I thank him for accommodating me in everything I asked of him. Her supervisor, Giovanna Rodriguez, made me feel like I had another concierge, very friendly and always available for whatever I needed. Don Eugenio Peña, the manager of the mini bar in my room, always making sure I didn't miss anything in the refrigerator, always with a smile. Yan Carlos Tupete, from customer service, was checking every day to make sure everything was fine and if we needed anything. Deilis GarcĂa, Concierge of the Circle program, helped me with things I needed with a lot of love and without yet being my concierge. Daniel Dominguez, from Circle, always making sure that everything was fine at the Amor de Mar restaurant (exclusive for Circle members). The food in the other restaurants was much better than in the previous 6 restaurants I was in Punta Cana. Jhonmy Polanco and Oliver Perez Peña, who made sure it belonged to the Circle program; incredible human beings and willing to answer any questions I had regarding the program (I still contact them with my questions). And lastly, my great friend Darvin Castillo, the bartender at the Nest bar, an incredible human being, who goes out of his way to please you in everything and makes you feel like family, and the staff at the Nest bar, who are all excellent and make your stay is unique. This is definitely going to be the hotel that my family and I are going to stay at whenever we go to Punta Cana. I recommend this hotel 100%.

By far the best experience we have had. The hotel exceeded 1000% each of the expectations we had. They made our days off simply memorable. From the bell staff, restaurants, maids, reception, entertainment and even the Hotel Manager, each and every one of them is very clear about service as excellence. At all times they made our stay easier for us, always attentive, cordial and willing to resolve any inconvenience or request on our part. I especially want to mention the waiters at all the restaurants, always with a smile and a good disposition, attentive to any passenger's request. Another area to highlight is the entertainment staff (Hansel and his team) deliver everything so that each of the activities is entertaining and everyone has a good time. This is a hotel where if you want to rest, you can do so without problems, and if you want to have fun and entertainment you can do so too. As for infrastructure, I can say that it has the necessary pools so that you never feel like you are full of people around you. There are enough spaces to always be private. Regarding the restaurants, I can say that they are all of very good quality, special mention to Tori and Origen. A special thank you to Christelle Luchini (Hotel Manager) who took the time to chat with us. She was very concerned about everything working perfectly, I saw her very late checking the facilities and making sure everything was in order. Congratulations to all the staff

After the horrors of the Melia Caribe, we were picked up in a minivan by one of the lead concierges and taken to the Grand Cana a short ride away. The moment we set foot on the property we suddenly felt like we were properly on holiday - the buildings are impressive, the walkways smell nicely of incense and we were taken to a private check in area as we had a family concierge suite. The check in process was great - we arrived 3 hours before the standard check in time and they managed to get us into our room at midday.
The room was enourmous and having a swim up pool was a real highlight - the privacy of a corner suite was great, however our outside space was definitely smaller than other swim up rooms. We had an issue with the aircon which was promptly fixed, however with a 13 year old girl and 15 year old boy, we weren't happy with them having to share a double sofa bed, so took a day for another bed to be brought which wasn't ideal. Our concierge Omar was moderately helpful but as we'd booked most of our restaurants beforehand there wasn't much for him to do other than sort out minor issues with the room / minibar / housekeeping.
The food wasn't amazing, I get the feeling that the produce (protein especially) isn't the best and the chefs can't really do too much with that. We ate in quite a few of the a la carte's and thought both the asian and steak restaurants to be the best. The buffet for breakfast and lunch was ok if not a little repetitive and there were definitely issues with the food not being hot. The menus are a tad limited, so if you're there for more than a week you will start to eat the same things.
The beach was pleasant although the hawkers are still there - the sea was definitely nicer than at the Caribe even though they are just a few hundred metres apart.
The service generally was very good and Jackson who swung by our pool nice and often was great.
Don't be tempted by the sales pitch that they try to get you to go to... they're looking to sign you up for $$$$s worth of commitment but not clear on what the benefit is and you'd be tied into the Melia brand for a long time.
Overall, we loved the property, but the food stops it from being a 5* review.

I mainly wore casual clothes. Polo or short sleeve button down and chino pants. Also wore matching summer sets (short sleeve button down and shorts) with white leather sneakers.
Kids club starts at age 1. Generally I would say up to 12 age 10 and up probably don't need to hang there and could just participate in the activities.
Dinner reservations are best done with the family concierge. I don't believe you can do them ahead of time.
Transportation is generally included with your package (flight and hotel). If you're booking separately, you may wish to have your agent book transfers as well.
