Nestled close to the inviting pool and beach, Jewel Punta Cana All-Inclusive Beach Resort is favored for its location, albeit with some noise concerns. The resort's atmosphere charms guests with its family-friendly vibe, vibrant music, and engaging nightlife amidst lush surroundings. However, visitors have mixed feelings about value, facing unexpected expenses and service inconsistencies, though the staff's warmth often shines through.
Cleanliness is a strong suit, with well-kept areas, even as some call for room updates. While amenities are plentiful, including dining and beach activities, the quality of room service and mini-bar offerings sometimes fall short.

Hotel's Favourite
1. The property: the property was beautifully landscaped and well-maintained. There was so much greenery. You really feel like you’re in paradise. If you are club level, there’s an adults only pool you have access to which was much more peaceful than the main pool. The main pool is large enough that you never feel really crowded. The music they choose creates a great ambience because at no point did I hear music that wasn’t appealing to everyone.
2. Food: the food overall was great. I enjoyed everywhere that I ate, especially the bean burger at the restaurant on the water. If you are, you can sit at a special part in the beach, where they serve food and drinks to you, which I highly recommend. The burgers and chicken tenders are homemade. The buffet offers fresh fruit, and breakfast. Every morning, my favorite part was the made to order pancakes, French toast, and eggs. Another wonderful amenity is the coffee shop, which is open all day. Jennifer and Christina were amazing baristas who were able to make any coffee I ordered as well as the signature coffees on the menu. They also have a variety of baked goods that are great for a grab and go. My favorite food was at the Asian restaurant where we had the best hibachi. Junior was our waiter both nights we had dinner there, he made the experience that much better.
3. Massage: the massages were incredible, we chose to have the massages out on the beach and it was just magical. It was actually the best massage I’ve ever had.
4. Cocktails: the cocktails were delicious, not what you would expect at an all inclusive resort. My favorite was the mango margarita and the passionfruit margarita, to my surprise, they were both made with fresh fruit, which made it so yummy.
I Heidi recommend booking the club level option because you do get many more amenities and food options. The best part is the private pool and the private area on the beach where you are served food and drinks.

Jewel was a great value for the price. The lobby area and the grounds are extremely well kept, including the pool that runs through the middle of the resort. The staff are fantastic, friendly, and accommodating.
The travel from the airport is a trek. It’s a 45 min ride which is close to $70 USD normally one way. We had reserved transportation and confirmed with the hotel 2 weeks prior. However, when we got to the airport, the shuttle service did not have our name and said the hotel never confirmed a car for us. They also didn’t have any cars available so the transportation company connected us to a different company. However, something got lost in translation so they took us to a closed property of Jewel’s and then had to trek out to the correct one. It was a lot to manage on our own and it ended up costing $120 because of the mistake. On our return trip, we talked to the concierge about transport back. No issue booking or timeliness; however, we asked the concierge if the taxi would take card and she confirmed it would be fine. However, when we got to the airport, the driver said he didn’t take card. Luckily the airport had an ATM. Highly recommend taking cash with you for transport to and from airport plus giving $3-4 per meal for your servers and baggage carriers even at all inclusive places. No one asks you for tips but it seems like they would appreciate it.
The food was ok - the buffets had a lot of options and I was able to find at least one thing to tide me over. The coffee was fantastic. The appetizers at the a la carte restaurant dinner options were great, but the entree meats were on the well done side so tended to be tough.
The rooms themselves are somewhat outdated and could use some renovations, especially the bathrooms. Not a deal breaker since we hardly spent any time in there. We chose the standard room option with 2 full beds, which was on the tighter fit for three people (2 adults and a child).
The ocean side views were beautiful; however, the water and beach area itself was overrun by brown seaweed so we didn’t swim in it at all.
We spent 2 full days and a half day on each end of those which felt like the perfect amount of time for the purpose of relaxing in one spot.
I think some of the issues we ran into was first time inexperience, but I’d go back happily.

This is old dreams resort. Beautiful grounds and about 35 mins from the airport. Looks alot bigger than it is. The staff are amazing and very accommodating. The room we had was a superior king building one facing the back. The rooms are modern looking but in rough shape and I could feel the springs through the mattress. We were in room 1117. Close to the pool and restaurants at night. The showers are ridiculously high off the ground and have only 1/3 glass wall. Not good for older people and big slipping Hazzard.
The pool l runs through the resort and looks like it's missing a ft and a half of water. Very shallow and are in a crouch position the whole time you are in it. Recommend you bring a floating hammock as they charge 45 usd and that's after 30% discount on day 2 when you arrive.
No drink menus at the bars. The best part is the food. Too many options and unlimited number of times u can go to the restaurants. The buffet was amazing. Maybe my favorite. The beach is beautiful with the exception that we had seaweed and red flag up due to winds all week so didn't go in. Beach/pool towels are unlimited and no card or wristbands are required. the atm also wasn't working so didn't get money for an excursion so bring enough cash. All in all, we made the most of its shortcomings. Came home 10 lbs heavier and hope that they do a reno and we will come back soon.

First, I arrived in Punta Cana, and had booked a private transportation to the hotel. When I arrived at the hotel, I was greeted by the concierge team, who assisted me with getting my bags out of the vehicle. I was then given a really nice welcome drink and they guided me over to the check-in counter where I met Raul, he was very accommodating and polite and spoke perfect English, I requested an upgrade to one of the swim up pool rooms which he gave me a great room, and I was very happy with it. I then went for a walk around the resort and met Lloyd who works at the water pro shop , he was so nice. I spent a little while speaking with him, and he gave me some great advice on different excursions. The thing I like the most about this resort is that you do not need to make any reservations to any of the à la cart restaurants it is a first come first serve basis. I particularly enjoyed the Italian restaurant, called Moonstone by Sophia, I was served by Alberto and Lenny, they were amazing and so kind. If you want amazing drinks, you need to go to the Cana pool bar and have either Alberto, Carlos or Loreto make you one of their signature cocktails. My favourite was the Banana Moma made by Alberto, they always are smiling and so funny. As I am from Canada, the on going joke was that I was in Punta Canada. On my third day there I ended up, hurting my foot and was not able to walk, I was in building, one which is closer to the beach, and a good walk away from the main building where the restaurants and entertainment are located. I called the concierge and let them know that I was hurt and they sent Juan to come and get me in the golf cart so that I could see the shows and have supper and then Juan would bring me back to my room every night. He was so sweet and kind, an amazing soul. Thank you again Juan. As for housekeeping, I had Alba, she was amazing, every morning I would see her and she would ask if I needed anything, she was always there and would give me a hug and asked if I was ok as she knew I injured my foot. On my last day there, I received a call asking if I needed help with my bags and again someone from the concierge (Wander) showed up in the golf cart and drove me up to the lobby. Also Antonio from the concierge was always so helpful. The staff at this resort go above and beyond for their guests. The resort property is very clean and the staff work really hard to keep it clean for us. There are also 3 flamingos who live on the resort and every night around 5pm you would see them walking around the resort. Was really cool to see. I would recommend this resort to anyone looking to just relax and be spoiled. I will be back again to this paradise and hope to see you all again very soon. ❤️

The resort was in need of some updating. The lounge chairs were chipped and many chairs throughout resort, especially at the lobby bar, had little to no cushioning. The chairs at the pizza location had huge rips in them. The staff was attentive and friendly but the food was mediocre at best. We had club level and I highly recommend this service. Couple of things if you are to go-bring plenty of sunblock. The gift shop charges 41.00 for a spray sunblock (bought in states for 6.99). Also bring a large refillable cup as the drink cups are very small. The gift shop will sell you a cup but lowest one was 81.00. Crazy. The hibachi was one of the best meals we had all week. The pool is clean and beautiful. The rooms were nice (need updating) and the housekeeping staff was very nice. Mini bar did not get replenished without asking every day. First time at this location. Not sure we will be back - not the worst but not the best. This is our fifth trip to Pubta Cana, sadly the hotel we normally go to did not reopen. Prior resort gratuity was included so big change for us this time as we felt we were always putting our hands in our pockets. Prefer to just have all charges in package ahead of time.

Great resort in a colonial style. Service is so good (better than more expensive resorts we have visited in Cap Cana) and the food is delicious. The drinks too!!
Will especially mention lovely Jennifer from the coffe bar in the lobby, she always recognized us and made our day with her efforts to make us perfect espresso´s. A great guy in the animation team was so funny and dedicated, he made us laugh a lot and motivated us to have fun - I think his name was Emanuel(?) or Ramon (?). And Roberto (?) who brought us fruit in the room.
The pool area is very nice and the beach was ok and very nice cleaned every morning (quite something else than the beach of the more expensive Margarita hotel in Cap Cana, which had loads of sargassum)
We really enjoyed our stay at Jewel and recommend it by heart.

What can I say, we had the best week! We spent 7 days at JPC (Mar 6-10). The place was at 20% capacity literally and we loved it. Amazing staff, food, drinks and free wifi everywhere.
They br3akfast and lunch buffet was our favorite. Quality Ingredients and amazing variety even thought there were so few guests. The resort at capacity is about 1200-1300 people, and one of the waiters told us that there were just about 200 guests there last week. Towards the end of the week we noticed more people. Lots of local groups and family's were there it seems just for the weekend.
Dinner was alacarte, no reservations needed. They did not have a dinner buffet due too such low occupancy. Our favorite was the Italian and the steak house close to the beach.
We did room service a couple of nights as we wanted to stay in. Food was excellent and included in yhe room, we just had to pay a $5 delivery charge at check out. Which was not an issue.
The hotel is prestine, the staff is extremely friendly and professional. The rooms and bathrooms are very dated and smaller than other resorts we have been to, as its an old hotel used to be Dreams PC and was just changed over to Jewel a few months ago. Having said that it's very very clean, the bed was very comfy, ac was perfect. Lots of strong pressure hot water. We did not need much more. We were in block 2 close to the beach ground floor swim out room. Which is a nice thing to have as it gives you some private pool time if you want. But since there were so few people at the resort we did not use our swim out at all as we did not feel too crowded at all.
We would definatley go back and highly highly recommend this place!!

Excellent attention starting from the main entrance door by the staff, and continuing with those who take your luggage and bring it with you on a cart to the hotel's lobby and then to your room. Excellent front desk service, and speedy, not as other hotels. They go out of their way to serve the guests.
The food is sensational, and the mega pool is wonderful. I have no complaint about the room. A clean hotel with excellent quality. I recommend it.

Absolutely loved this resort. Booked last minute for a first time solo trip based on the reviews I read here and from another solo traveller. It was my first time in Dominican and I was not disappointed. The staff were all great and super friendly. The grounds were amazing. I was in one of the older rooms in building 1 and although the wifi wasn't great, I managed with what I had and the room itself was absolutely perfect for me with a beautiful view of the pool and a semi view of the ocean. When leaving my flight was delayed overnight (thanks Sunwing) after I already checked out and the resort put me in one of the newer rooms in building 6 (with a jacuzzi on the balcony) which was absolutely fabulous, even if it was just for one night. I met a couple in the premium lounge who also had bad wifi and the front desk gave them a booster thing to make it work better and they said it really helped for their kids, so if wifi is an issue just ask the front desk for help! The food was spectacular, I never went hungry and was always pleasantly suprised with my meals. The food was probably the thing i spoke most about when i was there, everyone loved how great the food was. The beach was gorgeous, although the water is a little more "rough" here, from my research, that's what you're going to find at all the resorts in Punta Cana. The pool was beautiful and well taken care of. There is a local market for souvenirs about a 15 minute walk away from the resort if you take a right when you're leaving the resort. I went there 4 different times, they do pressure you quite a bit to buy stuff but you can also haggle and get way better prices than at the resort. I did an excursion to Saona Island which I purchased from one of the vendors on the beach out front of the resort and had an absolutely amazing time. All in all I absolutely recommend this resort to everyone, I am the queen of research and reading reviews before I do anything and this gets a 10/10 from me ☺️

I stayed from Oct 31 to Nov 5, in a premium club room. To begin with, my recommendation, it is not worth paying more for a premium club room as it has no long-term benefit. The club room has a separate check-in, with a restaurant, which I went to twice and they put you on a very long waiting list, and an area with a snack bar, coffee and drinks, the place is extremely small, and it was always full, I was never able to enjoy the area, with more or less 15 people it was already full. The room for value and price is not worth it. I have visited other super cheaper hotels with a luxury room. The food is varied, but repetitive. On the page they indicate several restaurants, but they never explain to you that they are never all open at the same time, every day, except Saturday, only 3 are open, and the buffet is only open for breakfast and lunch, for dinner only the Saturdays. The buffet, the food was super cold, the sweets, when they arrived, were super fresh, as the days passed, they were hard. Very important, be patient, the food takes a long time to be served and the staff is always lost with the orders, and has no knowledge of à la carte food, you ask questions and they don't know. The hotel areas are super clean as well as the pool and rooms. The cleaning staff in the rooms is super attentive and in the other areas of the hotel. For people who like to use the hotel as accommodation for internal tourism, it is not recommended, it is very far from the places of interest of the place, and car rentals, taxis or Uber are very expensive. Another detail of the room, be careful what you touch, everything there is practically glued together and poorly installed, if you look at it too much it falls down. The lobby coffee area, excellent, good service and coffee. The shows, well, they take a long time from each other. I called for repair service in the room since the balcony had no light, it took a long time, and they had to return to replace the light bulbs which were damaged, well I already got home and I'm still waiting for them to return with the light bulbs, Although they changed the refrigerator quickly, it was causing problems. The rooms offer internet, believe me, I was in the premium room and I never had internet, you had to go outside the room in the surrounding area to have good coverage.
In conclusion: If you have the opportunity to book at another hotel, then do it, as I said before, it is not worth the price per night, I make the comparison with the more than 10 hotels that I have visited in the area.
