My husband & I travelled early November. Resort is beautifully laid out. Could improve the immenities in the room & housekeeping was a little late a couple of days. Food was pretty good in the a la carte restaurants, although their "reservation" service needs to change. First

we were there as a group of 5 in October. Large place, lots of pools to choose from. We enjoyed the activities, wish there was more during the day near the pools. Drinks were pretty good, but could have had a better variety. Food, wasn't as good as when we stayed at the new Royal

We traveled in early December from Montreal on Sunwing. 3 Couples in our Mid 30s. Everyone enjoyed the trip.

Firstly, it's new, in excellent condition, beautiful, and large. Wandering the grounds can take you through a few different areas from party pools, to volleyball pools,

Is the minibar free or have you to pay for it
Although we are an older couple we like a bit of life on holiday. For those times when we want to relax are there areas at this complex where you can chill out if you don't want the foam parties etc. Most of our time will be spent on the beach but occasionally we enjoy a chill out around a pool area. Also is there a problem with ferrel cats at this resort or not. Thanks
Yes there are definitely areas to relax it is not all one big party. There are quite a few pools and bars that are quiet and relaxing. You just have to walk about until you find one that is exactly what you are looking for but should you wish to check-out the party pool go check it out and walk away if not to your taste. I didn't see a single cat the whole 2 weeks but I did see one dog.

Can you walk to the Hard Rock Casino from the beach?
We walked down the beach to the Hard Rock. It is only 2 resorts away. IDK why folks are saying you have to take a cab, you def do not unless you have mobility issues.

Which pool is better for 40 year olds but still like to party and play volleyball and water Polo? Do we need to secure loungers with towels early in the morning? How is the food at buffets and a la cartes? Some in our group like their food I personally pretty easy going.
The Aquamar swim up bar, they tend to play 80/90 music always activities going on. No need to save loungers plenty to go around , we normally never made it down till 10 am lots of spots, remembering its Dominican the foods good, plenty of variety something for everyone . Enjoy vacation , you'll have a blast
