An unspoilt and beautiful part of the Caribbean. The hotel is situated right on BBC beach which is almost private. Grenada has so much to offer with hidden waterfalls and so many places of historic interest. The people are amongst the most friendliest people in...More
Arrived here yesterday. Beautiful location and the rooms are ok. However the hotel is the most disorganised we’ve ever stayed in. We are on an All Inclusive package with British Airways Holidays, but no one seems to know what our package includes. Apparently it does...More
Kalinago is located within striking distance of BBC beach. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The hotel management need to upgrade the decor and style of furniture of the rooms. The beds constantly squeeze and move, they have attempted to rectify this by screwing...More
Our family of four had booked a two bedroom apartment at the sister hotel The Gem, but the ocean view was almost non-existing from the terrace (right by the commen stairwell) and the bedrooms were dark and with af view to an alley.
Family and I spent 4 days here , like having a private beach front, secluded , friendly helpful staff, nice place to kick back and just chill, great pool. their chef is A class , I would eat any steak he cooks.

The taxis are RIDICULOUS. It's $10-$14 USD each way to the market. Since it's about a mile each way (and up an incredibly steep hill) there's no way to walk it. I did find out there's a "bus" that might come to the hotel or meet you at the top of the hill if you can get the schedule. But it's all very unorganized so you should try to track it down before you get there.
The market also has a couple decent restaurants there including a really good Chinese one (generic but tasty). My recommendation is the island food just on the other side of the supermarket (can't recall the name). You go in and order a main dish along with a couple of sides for $6-$8 plus they have really good fresh made smoothies. I loved their fish.
