The Kalinago was perfect for what we wanted: A quiet, relaxing, peaceful spot, not too touristy, away from the hustle and bustle of Grand Anse beach, but within walking distance for when we wanted it. Located not much more than 10 minutes from the airport,...More
We loved our stay at the Kalinago Beach resort but mainly because of the most wonderful beach.
The hotel is sadly in need of a bit of a shake up - another reviewer said it needs a Hands On General Manager - and I too...More
Came off the ship Britannia had several hours to kill and didn't want to go to Gand Anse Beach which we had been to before so we asked if there was anywhere else our party of 5 could go, we were told that there was...More

The hotel is placed right on the nicest beach in Grenada. The rooms were superb (We had the deluxe room on the top floor) with the bed being huge and the view just priceless. We slept every night with our private and secure balcony doors...More

The taxis are RIDICULOUS. It's $10-$14 USD each way to the market. Since it's about a mile each way (and up an incredibly steep hill) there's no way to walk it. I did find out there's a "bus" that might come to the hotel or meet you at the top of the hill if you can get the schedule. But it's all very unorganized so you should try to track it down before you get there.
The market also has a couple decent restaurants there including a really good Chinese one (generic but tasty). My recommendation is the island food just on the other side of the supermarket (can't recall the name). You go in and order a main dish along with a couple of sides for $6-$8 plus they have really good fresh made smoothies. I loved their fish.
