I have really mixed reviews on Kailnago. We stayed a few nights on our way to Carriacou. The positives were the awesome location, pretty good service, and very reasonable room rates. We had a basic room which was on the first floor. It had a...More
Visited the bar area for drinks and a meal before a soak on the beach, found the service to be extremely slow despite the fact there were only two of us there throughout. The food took ages to arrive the lady that initially served us...More
Spacious and clean rooms.
Dedicated cleaning staff... Diana is so helpful in that area.

Kalinago Beach resort is an excellent budget, no frills, hotel. Fantastic views of BBC beach. The beach was mostly quiet except when the cruise ships were in port. Great pool and pool bar. The Fidelis restaurant was good for breakfast but only a limited menu...More

The taxis are RIDICULOUS. It's $10-$14 USD each way to the market. Since it's about a mile each way (and up an incredibly steep hill) there's no way to walk it. I did find out there's a "bus" that might come to the hotel or meet you at the top of the hill if you can get the schedule. But it's all very unorganized so you should try to track it down before you get there.
The market also has a couple decent restaurants there including a really good Chinese one (generic but tasty). My recommendation is the island food just on the other side of the supermarket (can't recall the name). You go in and order a main dish along with a couple of sides for $6-$8 plus they have really good fresh made smoothies. I loved their fish.
