Excellent location with a breath-taking sea view; Great place to relax and to enjoy vacations. We enjoyed the suite, the food, the environment and most importantly the team: there are all amazing. What is great about Toubana is its kind of Boutique hotel with a private beach, an exclusive location far from the mass tourism but offering great and very agile services if the customer want to hang out for any reason: boat rent, car rent, restaurant, shopping...
We are very thankful to Toubana and its staff.

Excellently situated next to St Annes on a cliff top, with excellent facilities. The main restaurant offers a good menu with nightly specials. If you are staying longer than a week I think you will find it quite boring as it doesn’t change. Breakfast is plentiful with a wide range of offerings. The beach restaurant and general area is very good and in a protected cove, plenty of sun beds to choose from but they do allow day trippers and at the weekends it gets busy! So try to book if your stay included Saturdays/Sundays. Lovely pool area but located just outside the restaurant means you are almost guaranteed an audience, so not to the non poseurs taste! You can sit by the bar at night and enjoy a beer or cocktail, but the lighting is very bright and not very intimate. Again it can also get very busy! Generally very nice, but for me short of a 5 star experience, and here are the main reasons: 1.The staff are very friendly but the service is not great, at busy times around the pool by the hotel or the beach expect to wait up to half an hour, and in some cases, not get your drink at all! 2.Reception is very efficient but be careful of hidden charges, I was told hiring a car for a day would be €45, but when paying, a €30 charge was added for arranging it(I wasn’t advised) 3. Whilst the website advises walks locally, the reality is reception tells you it is not safe( no footpaths or road lighting) so you are pretty much tied to the hotel or have to pay for a cab( €15 for a 1.5km journey, and the same for a return!) So trips to local restaurants are prohibitively expensive. 4. When leaving ( our flight to Paris was not until 20.30) they do provide a shower room if you want to go on the beach for your final day, but when we came back within an hour of our cab to the airport, we were 3rd in the queue so in the end just changed in the toilet, so check and be clear on the timings 5. Everything is very expensive, a cocktail averages €17, a bottle of beer €7, a main course €35, a bottle of wine, cheapest €36, which would not be a problem if you had easy access to St Annes but for the aforementioned reason, they have a captive audience.
We were fortunate to stay on the west coast with friends on their boat when we arrived for a few days, and the Deshaies area is definitely much more secluded and feels more Caribbean, so if you get the choice, look west for sure for a better overall experience. That said, if you are not bothered with value for money, then this is a good alternative

We loved La Toubanna. We stayed for two weeks, half board. Our bungalow (no. 27 Pomme Liane) had everything that we needed including a large terrace with table, chairs, loungers and a daybed. We particularly liked the French food at dinner, but be prepared that it can easily take 2 hours. If you can afford to stay there, you probably won’t worry about the cost of the drinks and snacks. On arrival, you will need to pre-authorise €100 per day for drinks and snacks. Water is €7 per bottle, gin & tonic, pina colada etc. are €14. A cheese and meat snack (more than enough two people) is €28 and very good.
Any requests or problems were dealt with kindly and quickly. The staff are brilliant without exception.
The nearest town is St. Anne. It takes 30 minutes to walk there, but not recommended as there isn’t a footpath, only a very busy road. The hotel can arrange a taxi, but you may have to wait and it costs €20 each way. However at the bottom of the lane to the hotel, are buses you can take to St. Anne (€1.80), St Francois or even Pointe a Pierre.
The tourist information office in St. Anne is very helpful.
As fans of ‘Death in Paradise’ , we took a tour of the filming locations (mainly on Basse-terre) with Taina of Guadeloupe Explor. We also took a tour around Grande-terre and to the islet of Caret. The snorkelling around the rocks below the hotel is good.
The paths are generally well lit, but I recommend that you take a torch.
The holiday was perfect for us.

This hotel located in saints anne, quadeloupe,
You need 40 minute drive from airport to get there. Upon arrival, the lobby, environment, pool, sea view, public area it's beautiful, a good credit then it stop there.
The rooms are individual villa, i saw few villas with an outdoor sitting without private pool or jacuzzi. Then i enter my room, it smell fishy, and pretty small, Then i insist to change, ok they changed, the new room outdoor is facing bushes and tree, with a little far seaview. Well,  it's fine, As i go out in the day time and come back after dinner Which is dark already. I really don't care.
My room size is satisfied, bed is acceptable.
Worst is my room only has 2 small ventilation window around 30 x 80 cm. Again no view.
Then come to the worst part, from the time i enter the room till next morning there are lots of  crickets chirping, it's annoying, non stop till the next morning, you will not have a good sleep at night as i need very quiet ambience to sleep. I asked to change the room, according to their explanation, the crickets are everywhere, all the rooms are the same. So the whole time i stayed in their hotel, i really feel tired from bad sleeping. The curtain were not black out, around 6 am it was too bright Inside room you better Bring your eyemask.. Again, it doesn't Cost too much to have a black out curtain.

Then, they have very weak wifi, i need to go to the outdoor to connect, then return to my bed to surf, after 5 minute, wifi disconnected, you need to go out again to connect.
The bathroom, shower area with curtain, no bathtub, that's ok with me, But they should put a glass door to stop the water Going outside (put a curtain is much cheaper than build a glass door.)therefore after shower, outside floor full of water

Btw they have only 1 french restaurant in the hotel, i ordered foie gras, it's up to par, then come with beef steak, it's inedible, they were overcooked taste like wood. (i told them medium rare) However the service is impeccable。
My advice, if you pay this price  euro 650/night for the room , you have many choices.

Dear Guest, We thank you for choosing La Toubana Hotel & Spa***** for your stay and for taking the time to write a comment. We are delighted to see that you found the public areas and the environment beautiful, the service at Le Grand Bleu Restaurant impeccable and the front office staff reactive. However, we sincerely regret the inconveniences encountered, especially regarding the bungalow, the wifi and the food quality. Customer satisfaction is our priority, we are sorry to hear that you wasn’t fully satisfied. Be assured that your observations are taken into account. Please note that with Guadeloupe’s lush vegetation, animals and insects do invite themselves from time to time: you may had the chance to spot iguanas and, according to your remarks, you experienced the crickets and frogs night singing - sorry that it prevented you from sleeping. We hope to see you again very soon, Sunny greatings

The hotel says it wants to make your dreams come true. Our dreams turned to a hope that the necessities would work. We stayed a week and the air conditioning in our room was never fixed. Our bathroom sinks were clogged and several times we did not have water, not even to flush toilets or take a shower. We had booked massages in the spa only to find our we were not scheduled. We had pre-paid for that and to get a refund took exhausting arguments.

We spent a week at La Toubana and we only have positive things to say about it. The hotel is nicely designed, with an amazing view of the ocean. The restaurant looking over the pool serves amazing quality food and the staff (at the beach, at the restaurant, at the bar and at the spa) is super friendly and very professional. Always a smile on which with the sun and the views make your stay very relaxed and unforgettable. Highly recommended!

My wife and I visited La Toubana in April for a quick island getaway, and from start to finish, our stay exceeded our expectations. The only hotel of its calibre on the island,La Toubana exuded chic, effortlessly cast-away luxury at every step. You can tell this is a family run hotel from the personal touches you get a sense you are staying in a friends luxe beachside home. From the moment you arrive, the welcoming vibe creates an immediate sense of relaxation. The beach club was picture perfect and our room was quaint and cozy with a lovely sea view. Food and beverage was top notch at all of the hotel bars and restaurants. But like every hotel, it is the people that make or break the experience and La Toubana delivered once again. From Marie who arranged two fantastic tours with Jean-Denis, Louis and Michael at the pool bar, Charlotte at Le Grand Bleu, the entire La Plage staff, everyone was excellent. Thank you all for a much needed Guadeloupe experience we'll never forget.

We had a fabulous time at this resort and it was hard to leave. The place is in a great location near St. Francoise and even closer to St.-Anne, many markets, shops, cafes and restaurants near by. The beach was beautiful with a wonderful lagoon to swim in and great wait staff and food down at the beach. It was so wonderful that I can not wait to go back!

Great setting, patchy service, inflexible rules, may well be the best hotel in Guadeloupe (haven't tried any others) but resting on its laurels.
Pros: Fantastic views, good if pricey main restaurant, generally friendly, very efficient concierge, good beach club and lunch restaurant. Lots of activities on offer through partners.
Cons: Tired rooms - stayed in Ti Kaz 'Junior Suite' which was pretty small, shutters don't close and blinds not blackout, room not regularly serviced, staff don't reply to Whatsapps, hotel totally overrun on a Sunday due to very popular brunch full of external guests.
Note: check-in team were VERY poor dealing with a delayed arrival despite warning in advance - no effort made to accommodate or move reservation. Don't rely on a late checkout if you leave on an evening flight. They will fob you off endlessly telling you to wait until the day and then just say no, all while pocketing the room rate you didn't use earlier.

sorry so latter answer. At Toubana there is a small beach that is protected from the ocean so that it is calm and safe. There are lounge beds with umbrellas ands side tables. They are first come basis but hotel guests get priority and can reserve the day before. There is a small bar/ resturant at beach and staff make the rounds taking orders for food/drink. Can be charged too room or paid in cash. Before beach and staff made it so relaxing
