The Gardens is a small complex consisting of 7 two-bedroom, 2 bath townhouses with all the conveniences, each comfortably accommodating 4 to 5 persons. Its proximity to shopping malls, cinemas, craft markets, restaurants, churches, commercial centers, hospitals, schools, the US Embassy and two major Universities makes it an ideal destination for out-of-towners looking somewhere central to stay. While it is centrally located in the middle of Liguanea, the garden setting takes you away from it all.

we stayed at the Gardens on our one night stay over in Kingston. It is in a good location and the area appears to be safe. The unit is very old. Their is a big box TV in the living room that we did not use. the bedroom was upstairs and had no TV. Our restroom door was very hard to open if you kept it closed shut. on two occasions my boyfriend had to use his full body force and hit the door to get it open. There was no microwave in my room so I had to ask a housekeeper to heat water up for me that night and then the following morning when I asked her if they didn't provide microwaves she asked if my kitchen did not have one and then got someone to put one in our unit. I don't know, the place just seemed eerie the way its so old fashioned.

The room was like a home away from home could do with being a little more cozy but as very comfortable and the fact that its more of an apartment and not just a single room , you have access to a kitchen and living room was good :) ....The service was good in all ,really pleasant and helpful staff especially a younger guy Daniel i think is his name very helpful and polite good job on the staff . IN ALL GOOD STAY IF YOUR IN KINGSTON AND NEED A CENTRAL LAID BACK PLACE TO STAY !

Very calm and relaxing area accessible by public transport system which is pretty good in Kingston. We were positively surprised with a huge furnished apartment just for ourselves. We were traveling around the country and this was definitely the best place we stayed. You get clean service in your rooms every two nights. There is a garden view from living room and main bedroom. Wifi doesn't work very well from the bedroom but it has good quality in the living room.

Okay, so lets do pros and cons...The CONS...So, I was looking for a hotel in Kingston, that would accommodate my girlfriend and myself. I came across The Gardens Liguanea. There were very few reviews I could find on the internet, but I still wanted to give it try.... Big mistake. The room we were assigned to was OLD. It looked old, it smelled old and it was very dated. One of the reasons we wanted to stay at the Gardens was so we could cook most of our meals since it had a kitchen. Well, that wasn't possible. Kitchen was infested with ants the entire time. We bought a loaf of bread, put it on top of the frig, went to open it in the morning and hundreds of ants had already got into it. Ants were in the frig, in the bathroom, in the bedrooms..etc..The kitchen was very dated and I felt very uncomfortable cooking in it, so we never got to cook once. Before going we asked if there were TV's in the rooms. We was informed that there was a tv downstairs in the living room and a flat screen tv in one of the bedrooms. However, you could not use the tv in the bedroom without going downstairs and unplugging the cable box from the tv in the living room?? The bathrooms were small and not in good order. I am usually a very picky person when it comes to hotels when on vacation, but seriously this was not good. I have been to Jamaica at least 20 times and this was the worst I have stayed at to date. If you're not particularly concerned about the furnishings, then this might be a good, reasonable priced hotel for you. The Pros... There is a maid that comes and cleans your unit everyday, the garden/pool area is lovely (but I didn't get in the pool), the mall is down the hill about 10 minute walk and you do feel as though you are in a safe area of town. There is free internet service and out of the 8 days I stayed there, I only had a problem once getting connection. Unfortunately, in good faith, I can not recommend this hotel to anyone..The Gardens could be a wonderful place if someone would just put some money, time and a little TLC into it.

We had a trip to Kingston and could not get our usual accommodations, I found this spot and decided to give it a try. The unit is run down, paint peeling, stained carpet, and the mattress was like sleeping on rocks and the sheets stiff. The pool area needs attention and there was garbage and chewing gum stuck to the patio.
