We have a favorite waitress (Carol) but the entire staff here is lovely. The grounds are beautiful, their swim area is inviting surrounded by lots of shaded seating. Food here is not to be overlooked, many Negril aficionados think Ivan’s may be the best in Negril. I started coming to Negril in ‘98, the last two and the next time (April 2024) I’ve stayed at “Catcha”. One of favorites thing to do is get up in the morning, head to the restaurant, get a table over looking ocean and just relax over a long breakfast. Go before nine and you’ll be guaranteed to privacy (in the spring - maybe not in the busy season).

I stayed at several hotels and the cliffs of Jamaica, but Catch A Falling Star is my absolute favorite. It is a small boutique hotel with only 18 rooms. The staff is excellent. The views are beautiful it has a great restaurant on site and is also with her great walking distance, and you can catch a cab to go anywhere to eat on the cliffs.

This boutique resort on the west end cliffs was an absolute dream! We were there for 4 days and didn’t want to leave. All of the staff were top notch and really spent time engaging with the guests and helping wherever they could. We especially want to thank Issis who went out of her way time and time again to make our stay wonderful! We dined at Ivan’s onsite for Valentines Day and had the most delicious blackened snapper we’ve ever had. They went all out decorating and making it a special night for their guests! Our only regret was is that we couldn’t stay longer but we’ll be back!!

Me and my wife had a very nice stay at Catch a Falling Star. Beautiful hotel on the cliffs with spectacular views. Big ups to Flavor at the restaurant, Kevin the lifeguard and the three night shift bartenders, for the excellent service. Thanks

Great bar for happy hour. Moved to restaurant and had a fabulous meal. Such a beautiful property. We are going to try and stay there next time in Negril. In close proximity is Rick’s Bar and the best jerk chicken in Negril….Kool Vybes (just across the street) !

I've stayed at Catcha a number of times and overall i would rate it a 5 Star stay, but this time it was absolutely my worse, and it wasn't due to any fault of the Resort. It's that tourist spot/trap Ricks Cafe. BEWARE The property is unfortunately almost adjacent to them. Ricks starts blasting music around 3:30pm in the afternoon to attract the various local tourist party boats, and the DJ starts yelling and blasting the music until 12 midnight, which makes it totally difficult to enjoy the property if you're looking for relaxtion, and to enjoy your accomodations. I couldn't stay at the property and went to the Beach and other restaurants to escape the noise. In the evening I couldn't even enjoy relaxing on my balcony with a drink. The music was totally unbearable. Catcha is a beautiful and well maintained property with an exceptional staff but I would not stay there again unless these circumstances changed.…

Response from Catcha Falling Star Negril, General Manager at Catcha Falling Star
Responded Dec 12, 2023
Thank you for writing your review. While it seems terribly unfair that we should receive a 1 star review solely because of the neighbors, we do understand your feedback. Unfortunately the days of live reggae music seem to be lost for now, and that is a shame. It is also unfortunate as we have absolutely no control over what and how music is played all around us, including the boats that sail by. The good news is that the neighbors shut their music off before 10 (during your stay, they were hosting their annual staff party which explains the late night music.) However at Catcha, we will continue to do our very best to maintain what most of our guests describe as wonderful service, and a wonderful small hotel that makes you feel at home... THAT will never change.

Catcha is simply PARADISE! From the moment you drive up until the gate closes behind you, you are going to be treated like family in a tropical oasis. We were a friends and family group of 30 people celebrating my daughter's 30th and everything was perfect! The on-site restaurant, Ivan's is the best I've had on the island. The location and view, a stones throw from Rick's cafe, are a combination of Morrocan vibe with Greek Island style with the traditional Jamaica flare! The staff is attentive and professional from the lovely breakfast ladies to the heavy pour bartenders to special event attendants to management. Everyone took such great care of us! Special.thanks to Cassandra, Flavell, Andre and Kevin for keeping us safe and happy and to Shariff for meeting all of our transportation needs at a moments notice!…

First timers to Catcha, My wife and I visited Catcha with a group of friends, who had been previous, the experience and staff far exceeded our expectations. The accommodations, were perfect and the staff (everyone we encountered) made us feel as if we were family. The food was outstanding and the drinks were great. Enjoyed jumping in the cove and spending time in the pool, Sunsets were amazing too. I wish, I remembered all of the staffs names to call them out and individually recognize them all, they are great and they made our time easy and enjoyable. We will be back!
