Beautiful hotel. Magnificent hotel staff. We were made to be felt welcome - true royal. Delicious food. Everything is clean and facilities maintained to the highest standards. We definitely recommend. We stayed there for five days and each day was made special and unique. Dr. Gabriel and Keren Cohen❤️
People people people.when you come to Morgan’s Haurbour ..(or Port Royal).. do not go looking for the 4 seasons. This hotel was just fine..... I saw no bugs but heard mosquitoes. The rooms were clean and the staff was wonderful. I travel a lot. Maybe too many people are used to Marriotts... I don’t know. It has atmosphere.... I saw no dirty sheets... yes it was a simple room... but do you know it costs to matain a hotel? I have been here a few times... You have to be a traveler to dig it.... don’t go looking for Sandels...( yuk!)... but it it a piece of interesting Jamaican history. Only for the real travler! And I found the hotel A-OK!!!!
My sister surprised my wife and I with a little honeymoon gift, and this was not a good experience..... The Pool was dirty.... sheets were also not very clean, My wife had to spread our clothes on the pillow, because the pillow smelled awful. Not good at all. Will not visit here again.
I expected a lot from this hotel, but left feeling distraught. I was assigned room 102, expected more, room was very basic, sheets and pillows were stained, the bathtub was dirty to the point where there were dead insects and spider webs, I had to change rooms twice and both rooms were dirty, in the final room we were offered it was a little cleaner but again the sheets and pillows were stained, requested new sheets and again the new, clean sheets came stained. I gave up on that and settled in and then had to deal with some unknown person knocking on the door and running off a couple of times. There is no security presence on the room blocks. All in all a terrible experience. I got a discounted rate to the hotel prior to visiting and to be honest if I had paid full price for this awful experience I would be livid. All in all I don't think I'd ever revisit this place…
We are 2 women travelling together and were given a room on the ground floor (Room 204) and l was told there were no rooms available on the higher floors. The security is almost totally absent. Anyone can walk onto the property (gate always open and our balcony at ground level had no railing or gate.) At about 8:30pm a man tried to break into our room through the balcony by grabbing and shaking the (very old and easy to break into) balcony doors. LADIES -- if you are travelling together or solo - DO NOT consider this hotel. Serious safety concerns. Some rooms do not EVEN have a telephone or locks on the balcony doors at all. (As we found out when we had to change rooms after the attempted break-in). If that isn't enough to deter you, we also had no towels and dirty sheets on arrival. Took 2 hours to get towels to the room. Zero amenities provided (soap, shampoo) and broken coffee maker. Room filled with mozzies. If we could have slept in the car, we would! HARD PASS…
