The Sheraton Puerto Rico Resort & Casino enjoys acclaim for its prime location, particularly its closeness to the convention center and suitability for families. The hotel's atmosphere is also celebrated for its event readiness, chic decor, and roomy accommodations. Cleanliness is highly praised, with the majority of rooms being immaculate, although a few guests had reservations about cleaning protocols. While the service is generally lauded for the staff's warmth and helpfulness, some visitors experienced check-in difficulties and occasional lapses in professionalism. Amenities like the expansive pool and dining variety receive positive comments, despite occasional service hitches. However, some travelers feel that the hotel does not provide adequate value, citing steep prices, a cash-only policy, and issues with room quality and noise.

I stayed here January 18-31st and thoroughly enjoyed myself here! My trip was for business and the only reason I checked out early is because the daily rate was increasing for a professional baseball event. The employees were very welcoming and their customer service was awesome! They remembered me and addressed me by name. I'm a Platinum Elite member, so I had access to their VIP lounge on the 12th floor for free breakfast and evening hors d'oeuvres. In addition to that, I booked my stay using the Marriott Bonvoy app and received a $25 meal credit daily during my stay. The hotel has six restaurants and Choices Restaurant was my favorite! Their meals were $30 and under and I was able to use my $25 meal credit there. They served numerous authentic Puerto Rican dishes that were delicious. There's also a beautiful infinity pool overlooking the San Juan Bay. Parking was $22 daily and it was easy to get in and out. FYI: The Metropol Restaurant inside the resort cocktail drink prices are half of what the other restaurants charges. The casino will have live music on any given night also. This will definitely be my hotel of choice when visiting again for pleasure!

The property is pretty big, elegant, comfortable, plenty of parking on the paid garage adjacent to the hotel. Has a valet option and self park option. The Club Lounge is very nice and the view of San Juan and Old San Juan is phenomenal. Friendly staff all around. The one downside for long term business travel is that the property does NOT have an onsite laundry facility. They do have a laundry service off site for an added cost. I personally want to do my own laundry even if it was a coin-machine laundry facility. Lastly, you have to either have a vehicle or Uber to get to the San Juan restaurants because they are not at walking distance from this property.

Booked the "Club Level 1 King Bay view" room for a pre-cruise stay using AirMiles points.

As we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by the bellhops who helped getting the luggage out of the vehicle. In the lobby we were offered a glass of fizzy alcoholic welcome drink that was very refreshing, I had a few.

Because we were checking-in early (around 3pm) and not the official 4pm check-in time, our room wasn't ready yet, we received a call just a little after 4pm while waiting in the club lounge.

The room was great, nice view, everything that one could need for the night. We were happy to see that there were many charging outlets available including on both sides of the bed +++

The club lounge was a good added benefit. It was great to be able to get cold drinks and some snacks upon arrival. Shortly after the evening hors d'oeuvres were available which was enough food to make it your dinner for the night. The continental breakfast was above what I expected to be offered in the morning.

The only negative is the additional resort charges that you have to pay based on percentage of your hotel room rate. That added an extra $50 for the night.

I am titanium elite with BonVoy. Check in was quick and easy and they acknowledged my elite status. I had requested to use my Suite night upgrades to upgrade to a suite. There were suites available for the length of my stay up until the day I checked in. They could have upgraded me 5 days before my stay but they would not. They did give me a room with a view of the bay but no upgrades.

The club lounge was not open, not even to go in and get a coffee or coke and they used covid as an excuse. I selected the complimentary breakfast as my welcome gift but they forgot to give me my breakfast cards and I spent an hour later trying to get these cards so that I could get our complementary breakfast.
As a BonVoy elite I am very disappointed when the Club lounge is not open. It is one of the benefits that I have earned by being loyal to Marriott and I feel like they use covid as an excuse to keep it closed and not recognize my loyalty.

The hotel is nice and the staff were great. They room was clean, and not too small. The bathroom needs a total remodel but it was clean. The bed was old and hard to sleep on. They have notices in the elevator that they are planning to remodel all the rooms and it really needs it.

The little cafe where they have breakfast was nice and the staff was great. They took really good care of us every morning.

The pool area was also very nice and clean with a large hot tub/spa and great pool.

They have valet parking but there were always people standing there waiting for a car so I used the self parking for $18 per day. It is right there at the hotel so it was easy and not a long walk to self park.

We were there for 5 days and the room was only cleaned and made up one time. However there were always housekeeping staff in the hall and they would take our old towels and give us new ones and they were very nice to work with.

There is an Aloft hotel and a whole entertainment district in the same block as the hotel so there were lots of options for meals and entertainment. It is a very nice area and caters well to tourists. There was even live music most nights. Old San Juan is just a short drive and it was easy for us to get on highways from the hotel.

I would stay here again, even without getting an upgrade.

Great service and very accommodating staff. We were one floor directly below the hotel lounge so there was significant noise from chairs moving and people walking when the lounge was open. The management gave us a refund on the daily service charge as compensation which we found to be very good business. The property was secure, clean and staff very nice. Housekeeping staff was great - always smiling and friendly and spoke fluent English. Lounge service was very good. Pool area beautiful but water very cold. Overall, Very Satisfied!

While not in a walkable area, for Bonvoy members I would recommend staying here over the Sheraton in Old San Juan. The front desk service as well as the bell men provided much better service.

The hotel is more modern than the Old San Juan location, tho it could also use a bit of a face lift. The gym was decent, but felt grimy... not sure when the last time the machines were cleaned and there weren’t any wipes to clean them myself.

The rooftop pool is decent. The beds are comfortable. The bathrooms had 0 amenities other than basic soap and shampoo. Not sure if it was just an oversight in my room, but no cotton swabs or shower cap.

Otherwise an OK option for a night stay.

My husband was traveling for work and I tagged along. We travel almost every week for work and stay exclusively at Marriott hotels. This has been the worst guest interaction that we’ve experienced. We encountered problems every step of the trip. Management could not have cared less. When we arrived in our room, we we’re on the 5th floor, directly above the pool on the 4th floor. They have a DJ. The music was so loud that the glass was actually rattling. I called down and requested to be moved to another location. The front desk person argued with me, telling me there was no need to move as they didn’t have the DJ all night. Very condescending. We encountered this lack of courtesy across the stay. We needed a refrigerator for medication. I was told they’d send one up. It took 2 days and about 8 phone calls. On the second day of our stay we needed towels, as they weren’t doing daily housekeeping, I approached a maid in the hallway to request towels and shampoo and she completely ignored me. At first I thought it was the language barrier so I tried asking in Spanish. The language wasn’t the problem. She responded in English. “You need to call the front desk…” rolled her eyes and turned her back to me. I called the front desk described the interaction and requested the towels and toiletries. They said they’d send them right up. It took 14 hours and 3 more phone calls. And only the towels arrived, no toiletries. The hostess at the on-site restaurant was rude each morning, without fail. No pleasantries, no smile. It was as if I was bothering her each morning as I walked up for breakfast. We choose this hotel for the location but I would never stay here again and I recommend you stay away as well.

We stayed at this lovely hotel for three nights after a cruise trip to the Caribbean. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Service is great - We booked a zipline excursion in the Rain Forest through the concierge, super organized. We had to be moved to another room when we realized there was an odor in our room, the staff was very accommodating and even gave us credit we used at dinner in the hotel's outstanding restaurant. Minutes away by taxi or uber to the old town where there are a wealth of authentic restaurants and cultural sites. The infinity pool was also lovely. If you have time, you must visit the beautiful island of Culebra. We took a charter flight, pricey but amazing, Thanks Sheraton for making our Puerto Rico visit fun!

I had an amazing time at this hotel. I stayed at this hotel before and I was skeptical to go back, but thank God I did. The staff is really attentive. Front desk employees were amazing, especially Evete. We had breackfast at Choices restaurant and it was delicious & server was really nice. I felt very safe here with their Covid protocols; everybody had their masks, there was hand sanitizer everywhere and even the server at the restaurant kept cleaning the menus (is all in the details!) At the pool, Jesus kept making really good drinks specially the one he invented, ask for it! The only negative I have is that the big pool was cold and even when there is a whirlpool the main event is that infinity pool. Food at their pool bar is also really really good; try the burgers! Also, they have a great gym, if you need to go they are equipped for all your needs. We were so pleased, relaxed and felt so safe there wasn't any need to go out.

Why does it say All Inclusive? Then the comments say it is not AI. Is it directly on the beach?

Just to be sure, this is the hotel next to the conversation center near a small private airport. We stayed there for three nights before a cruise. We are Marriott Elite members. As such, we got a breakfast credit and depending on what we ate it was all or partly covered. As for all inclusive. No, it wasn't. Drinks and other food was extra. Great pool area. Got a $10 casino credit but we are not gamblers. Nice shuttle to Old San Juan which is great to walk around and have food, drinks, touring and shopping. They also will take you to a beach but the weather wasn't good so we didn't go. Have fun, hope this helps. About 29 minutes to main airport.
