We stayed here for 2 nights, one in a room with 2 double beds (we added on a night last minute and it was all they had) and one in a suite. Although the room with the 2 doubles was pretty average, the suite was lovely and overall, the hotel was great. It's in an amazing location right on the main street of Old San Juan, walking distance to everything in the area. The staff was super nice although they were definitely understaffed so for anyone in a hurry, that might have been a bit of an issue. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable, and we were lucky that at least for our rooms, we didn't have much, if any, street noise. They stored our luggage on arrival and checkout, and were very accommodating about letting us get access to it during the day as needed. The breakfast there was very good, service a bit slow, but staffing issues are prevalent everywhere. Hotels in San Juan, and especially OSJ, seem to be very expensive, so overall, I'd say this is a good value for what you get. I would definitely stay here again. …
dont know how regular room is, junior suite is large. Only thing no windows.. Noisy from everyone coming and going. Bar is not working after 1pm.. Greatest thing is the terrace and location, decor as well. The photos on tripadvisor a bit outdated.. hotel looks a bit dated or photos photoshoped well..
I booked one night for the CasBlanca Hotel for January 2023 in May of 2022. I received an email from the CasaBlanca saying that my reservation was no longer available because of a system malfunction and that they had booked an equivalent or better room at another hotel. First of all, I find it hard to believe that they would cancel a reservation that I had made eight months in advance. Then to top it off, the hotel that they said they had booked for me claimed that they did not have my reservation. So now I'm stuck without a room that I had made a reservation for. Booking a hotel in San Juan has been a nightmare.
Amazing location. Comfortable bed. Queen balcony room provides great open air option but close it up and sleep in as late as you want in peace. We unfortunately had to cut our trip short due to an emergency at home but the staff was very helpful and understanding. Roof decks (there are two separate sections, one with bath tubs and couches and one with hot tubs) are very cool though we didn't get a chance to take full advantage of them. Central location makes it easy to walk everywhere. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again on a future visit.
The hotel location is excellent for exploring the Old San Juan area. The rooms are on the small side and storage space is limited so wouldn't be great for a long stay but is OK for a few nights. We had a few maintenance issues with a dodgy room door lock and a faulty safe. However, the issues were handled quickly and professionally by the friendly staff which is all you can expect. I would stay again for a short trip, and I would recommend to anyone for the same.
I booked 2 nights at this hotel for January 2023 in June of 2022. My wife and I were excited to spend a couple days in Old San Juan before boarding a cruise. The hotel looks fantastic and in October we found out the biggest annual festival would be happening while we were staying at the hotel. Unfortunately the hotel decided to not honor the reservation I booked in June and informed me that there was a “system malfunction” and our room was no longer available. I’m sure this hotel is excellent but I would not recommend anyone book with a hotel that treats guests in this manner
Booked this hotel 10 months in advance. 2 months before our vacation got email, that due " a system malfunction" they canceled our reservation. At this point no hotels in Old Town San Juan are available.
The location was outstanding, the problem was the hotel and the room. We paid for a deluxe queen room with a furnished balcony. The pictures on Expedia are of a spacious room with a balcony facing the colored streets. What we got was the worst room in the hotel with a horrendous view, and the furnished balcony was laughable a clear bait and switch. I also noticed in the pictures that they don't show the actual shower because it is such a small shower ; it is so small it is hard to change your mind in there. These practices are of a business that is not working with the public in good faith, this is lying by omission. When we alerted the staff they had no interest in doing anything and said all the other rooms were taken. Since we had no choice but to accept the room, I asked for a refund through ex pedia and they were useless. I asked a second time after we got back and no desire to help. I have tried contacting the hotel several times and they have not responded either. This attitude is exemplary of their attitude on site. Once they have your money, they really don't seem to care about the rest of your experience. The room was also not very clean or well maintained either and in general the hotel has a lot of deferred maintenance items. The night and day we were there the AC was leaking on to the front of the hotel. I love going to and supporting independently owned businesses but these are the times where I question my desire to support them. Definitely a Traveler Beware situation, what you see is NOT what you get, at least not in our case. I wish I would have paid more attention to the bad reviews, they were on point. I have photos, but TripAdvisor website is not uploading them.…
Fantastic! We stayed 3 nights in Old Town and so appreciated the generous hospitality of our hosts at the CasaBlanca Hotel. It has such a convenient location for exploring all Old Town has to offer with no need for a rental car. The rooms are thoughtful and well-appointed and very clean. Thanks for a great stay!
Pros: Good location ( construction the entire time on our street with noise early in the morning ) Housekeeping were helpful Cons: *No breakfast included with reservation ( had to pay) *Construction noise /work entire stay - had to carry our luggage and get picked up a block away the entire week . * Water leak in the A/C with water under my bed and part of bed skirt was completely wet. Staff had to mop our room and replace sheets and placed a towel and trash can on the floor for 3 days while water was dripping * manager promised a credit but unfortunately was give to my co travelers who were in another room using their own credit card . When I told them that they had credited the wrong party instead of us , they refused to do anything about . It was their mistake and they should have compensated . And I was never credited as promised * 3 sleepless nights listening to a drip all night * no concierge so had to do own tour bookings . They did have Information taped on their counter but would not offer any recommendations.…
