A boutique hotel with a nice courtyard in San Juan. The rooms were clean and comfortable. This hotel is located close to many restaurants, Governor's mansion, Church and museums. The food in the courtyard restaurant was good but the service was very slow.

Visited with a friend for four nights and stayed in a room with two queen beds. We were on the second floor, overlooking the square and the church. We expected the room to be smaller than it was, given the reviews, so we were pleasantly surprised. Beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was fine for two of us. Water...

I wanted to stay in Old San Juan and love historic properties. The public areas are beautiful. The rooms are a bit small but nicely appointed. We enjoyed breakfast in the courtyard and dinner in the tapas bar. We loved watching the sunset from the roof deck during the complimentary wine and cheese hour and the lounge with fresh fruit,...

My partner and I stayed at El Convento from February 14 to 16. We were looking forward to this stay since it has been on our list of hotels to visit. Experience here was beyond our expectations. Their team is knowledgeable and on point. I would like to stand out from Guest Services: Christian who took care of our luggage...

Charming historic hotel in walking distance of many of the sites in the city. The staff was friendly and helpful. The tapas restaurant in the upper level of the courtyard had wonderful ambiance and delicious food. We liked the old world flavor of the hotel and enjoyed our stay. Our room was directly off the courtyard and there was never...

We have only visited the El Convento for Dinner and Drinks in the past, this was our first stay there. We chose the Queen Deluxe Garden terrace on the 2nd floor. This was a concerned with us as the 1st and 3rd floors is where the restaurant and Tapas bar are located, all was well and we did not hear...

Had this place recommended to me by a friend. We chose to walk the 2.9 miles from Condado. At 83 and sunny we were pretty thirsty by the time we got there. Sign said please wait to be seated. There was no one there to seat us. After a few minutes we were seated out on the patio which is...

This hotel was as the name suggests, an old convent back in the 1600s. The beautiful church is across the street. Since it is located in the center of old SAN Juan, all is walkable. I would recommend staying here.

After visiting Puerto Rico many times, I've found my favorite hotel. The El Convento is the only hotel I'll stay in while visiting Old San Juan. The location is in the heart of Old San Juan, making a car unnecessary, which is important because traffic moves very slowly. You can easily walk to the forts. The hotel has very high...
