Is it charming? Yes. There are lovely sculpture gardens, water fountains (though, as my son pointed out, the tubing mechanisms for the fountains are visible and rather ugly), art everywhere, and fascinating niches. You can have a drink on the rooftop and soak in the glorious views. But there are two major things preventing me from joining in on the...

The Gallery Inn is rich, textured and unexpected..We are two creative professionals and were looking for a unique backdrop for our wedding, and found just that. We decided to plan our private wedding (just the two of us) here, sight unseen, and had no idea to expect but it turned out to be such a beautiful experience for us. We...

Really one of the two best hotels i ever stayed in. Situated in old San Juan close to everything. This place is one and only! You feel that you live in another century. The paintings and the sculptures are works of the owners and really respectful! The rooms are all in the same rustic style but everyone has its character....

Nice to stay here with my wife as she loves small boutique accomodation alike - this is one of those special experiences. The setting in Historic San Juan by the Sea, painted, old buildings etc - - is just perfect for your romantic stay. Aenities is....OK for a B&B category and they really do their best to make you feel...

The hotel was a bit more rustic than the pictures lead us to believe. A bit dark and a bit overpriced for the amenities that were available. However, if you enjoy unique then it is a fun spot for a few days.

I was recently in San Juan after a cruise and my traveling companion had never been to San Juan so we decided to stay a couple of nights so she could see some of it. We researched places to stay in Old San Juan and found The Gallery Inn. It looked great. The owner is an artist, so is my...

I'm in agreement with rgstrip from Fairfax, Virginia. This is a unique Inn for those who want an experience never possible from a chain. For me, the Gallery Inn was an experience of the senses from first stepping across the archway. The sounds of the exotic birds captivated my ears while the statues greeted me with their mystique. This was...

If I had to give advice on places to stay in Puerto Rico, this one would be on the list. It is, however, a very unique property and is for those that love aesthetics/culture/beauty over resort-like creature comforts. As this place is essentially a home for art and beauty that lets people sleep in it, you should come with those...

The Good--Location is between both forts which are in walking distance. Those on staff were very kind and helpful. However, they aren't always available because they have other jobs to take care of while at the hotel, so they have to step away occasionally. The Bad--They advertise on their website that they serve dinner. They no longer serve dinner. After...

We booked this hotel for one night before a cruise. It was very cool, unique. Our room felt like of like a dungeon, and you'd never be able to get into it if you were over weight or couldn't walk plenty of stairs ( the door way is about half as thin as a regular door way. But the owner...
