Great location. Excellent service from front desk to housekeeping and maintenence and food service. We thank them for all they do! As far as the facility, pools aren't heated so it was chilly when we stayed in January/February. Food was ok but we ate there only once so it wouldn't be a fair assessment. Perhaps due to being short staffed there was garbage near the pool and hottub that weren't cleaned up right away however guests should also show courtesy for others and pick up after themselves. We stayed in the beach wing ocean view then switched to the wave wing ocean view. (Pure curiosity. We wanted to compare the two sections.)The ocean views are spectacular! Be prepared for a bit of a wait for breakfast if you don't get there early. The line to get in can be long especially on weekends. Overall our experience exceeded our expectations which I feel was due to the wonderful staff. I would definitely recommend a stay here and look forward to returning in the future.…
We've stayed here many times over the years, and it's truly an iconic property. But what really makes us return is the staff and the level of service they provide. A few standouts are Miguel the waiter in the lobby bar, Arlene, Ninoshka, and Justin at the pool and beach, Hector at valet, and Efraim the waiter at the breakfast restaurant. All of the staff is consistently excellent, but these people go over and above.
The positives: the people working the front desk were very nice, the location was good, the bed was comfortable and we had a nice view from our room. There was a Mortons restaurant located on-site and we had an incredible dinner at Mortons. The negatives: for the price we paid we expected a luxurious experience. What we got was more like an average 2 - 3 star motel experience. The shower door did not stay closed. As a result, water leaked all over the bathroom floor. We went to the concierge desk for assistance with some planning in the morning but there was nobody to assist us. The buffet breakfast was disappointing. We waited a veryong time for our water to greet us and ask us if we wanted coffee. Other guests that came in after us were taken care of long before our waiter approachd us. The bacon at the buffet was just broken up pieces of bacon strip. The breakfast buffet was $33.00 per person, which was more than my delicious dinner cost at Mortons. I went to the front desk to let them know why there was a heaping pile of wet towles on the bathroom floor and to let them know that after paying almost $600. 00 for a one night stay, I was disappointed that I had to pay $66.00 for a less than average breakfast for my husbandand me. They were kind enough to remove the breakfast charge from my bill. When a hotel charges almost $600.00 for a 1 night stay, they set an expectation that the customer will receive a 5 star experience. It is understandable that sometimes unavoidable things happen ( like no one available to assist us at the concierge desk) but when they miss the mark by so much than it becomes apparent that they are just way over charging guests and way under delivering on the experience. …
We had the best service from Hiram !! Such a nice bartender at the pool bar ! Best drinks and best service , always nice to see someone who truly enjoys their job and making the experience fun for us customers!
Hiram is amazing! Great bartender! Taught me about cutting lines to take home to CT, where I’m a bartender! Very friendly and great service. I drank margs and he made me a drink I’m used to drinking at home and it was perfect!
We were only here for 24 hours but the staff made every minute wonderful. We especially enjoyed Hiram at the pool bar. He smiled, laughed and made a great Pina Colada. He had the guests both young and old entertained and satisfied. It is nice to see someone enjoying their job!
Haram Avila is the best bartender! He is at the pool bar. He will make sure you have a good time for sure! If you ever stay here. He is the guy to see! He has a ton of tricks and will keep you entertained!
Very old. Poorly managed, Motel vibe. Never will go back . Broken bath tub, peeling paint on the wall. No sleeper or robe for 500 dollars a night. I am sure because it is always pact they dont care if there are any changes made.
We arrived at Caribe Hilton last week and we are still staying here for a few nights. We are enjoying the hotel grounds and the staff members are nice. Mojitos restaurant is such a nice addition, as well as Lola’s & Rustica - yum! There is a lovely tropical garden on the property with turtles, swans and other birds. Unfortunately we haven’t been able to sleep in since a family with twin toddlers checked in next door as they start screaming and fighting early in the morning. We completely understand that kids are kids and sometimes there isn’t much the parents can do. However, the hotel seems far from full, so the mapping of guest placement could allow to ‘cushion’ parties with small children with vacant rooms on each side.
The hotel has clearly seen better days. I stayed here 7-8 years ago and it was exceptional both in location and price/value. Flash forward, the external oceanfront decks have paint peeling on nearly every surface and it was hard to believe I was in a Hilton (and not a nearly seedy 2 star hotel). Clearly, they have been hit hard via the combo of COVID and hurricanes. While I am sympathetic, the room rates seemed over priced for value - for example, the rooms billed as ocean view give you a one eyeball view overlooking a parking lot/ac units and buildings next door, not anywhere near what the rate should have resulted in. I had two rooms for several nights (and am an Honors member) and was extremely disappointed in the overall quality of the experience.
