After researching many websites, I choose Hotel Milano based on favorable reviews. All I can say is they were WRONG. The Rooms are in desparate need of remodeling. The carpets are crunchy- as in I don't know whats on them, but wear your slippers. The bed was small (advertised as a queen- closer to a full size) and had a... More

I stayed in Hotel Milano as the first stop of my honeymoon. We took a cab from the airport (which is easy because there is a line-up for cab's at the airport and set prices in San Juan, $22 to Hotel Milano.) The person working the front was very nice, the hotel lobby was clean and attractive, and our room... More

We enjoyed a pleasant night's stay at the Milano. Room was clean and comfortable, and reasonably priced for San Juan. Staff was very helpful and courteous. At least on the upper floor where we were staying it was quiet. And the continental breakfast was very substantial.

A good value, clean, friendly independent hotel right in the heart of old San Juan. The hotel is nothing fancy, but does what it does very well indeed. The the public areas, the bedroom and the linen were comfortable, well-maintained and clean. Our room only had high-level windows with a view (if you are tall) of blank walls and air-conditioning... Many rooms at the Hotel Milano have NO windows. None, they are like closets. I reserved directly through the hotel and neither their website or any of the communications I had regarding my reservation made any mention that the $155 room I had booked was window-free. I would have never reserved the room and in fact would have paid more... More

There are about 5 rooms without windows in the hotel which are cheaper and we tell our guests about it. We have wireless access in the lobby and the restaurant and we even have a computer in the lobby with internet access for our guests use. More

We stayed at the Hotel Milano for 1 night pre-cruise on Friday, December 7th. The rooms are clean and simple. The beds are comfortable. The comments about the potential for noise are true. There was a street party due to the clubs near the hotel from 12 to 4:00 a.m. The hotel staff shared that this happens every weekend. There... More

This is a comfortable and friendly hotel right in the centre of Old San Juan. We originally booked for one night, but decided to stay a second and the receptionist helpfully rearranged other bookings so that we could stay in the same room. We had a room at the back of the hotel, with a window which looked out onto... More

After reading reviews on trip advisor, we decided to stay at the Hotel Milano during a recent trip to Puerto Rico but was slightly disappointed with the hotel. While it has a cute lobby and is in a good location (though a little noisy because it is on a busy main street) the rooms did not have much character. They... More

We were looking for a clean, safe, centrally located place to stay while doing a walking tour of Old San Juan over a couple of days. We did an internet search and found articles in the New York Times recommending this hotel. We booked the double beds streetside via email. The place was just great. It was not as classy... More

Great hotel for a good price and great location. My wife and I stayed overnight after our cruise ended in Puerto Rico. The hotel is a short walk from the pier and about a 15 minutes taxi ride to the airport. The hotel staff was friendly and courteous and allowed us to leave our luggage in a safe area as... More
