Absolutely amazing experience here! everyone was so kind and welcoming. They were also very helpful, letting us know where to go locally for the best food/drinks. I definitely recommend coming here for your vacation!

I had the best time at the Coqui Del Mar. They clean and bring fresh towels and are so accommodating. It felt more like a hotel than an airbnb. Not to mention the location. A 5 minutes walk to the beach 👌🏼the host Rob was so friendly and helpful, with great recommendations for activities and where to go at night....

Clean, quiet and treated like family. The little things and the attention to detail made the stay a unique experience. Looking forward for the next opportunity to stay at the Guest House and enjoy some of the available sport activities in the area. J. Rios

This place was great, the staff were excellent, very nice, and very accommodating! I would recommend Coqui del Mar to anyone! It was a really nice touch for them to leave some beers and rum for us upon arrival too! :)

Judging by previous reviewers, there are clearly people that will be blown away by this B&B's charms - but I'm not one of them after my two night stay. It's not without its good points though: it's budget priced, it's a minute's walk to the beach and it's a self-contained one-bed apartment with many home comforts, for God's sake. But...

Hello and thank you for leaving a review. I'm so sorry that you were not happy with your stay. We agree with you that there is a bit too much noise in our neighborhood that we cannot control (our neighbor's chicken for one) and happy to let you know that we have ordered high-end double pane windows to be installed...

Enjoyed our stay and our ability to walk to the beach and to restaurants. We didn't rent a car and had Janet...from Metro Cab..#54 take us places. Very reasonable...the phone no. to cab co. in room. We short distance down the beach, west and had breakfast and lunch, with free chairs right on the ocean edge. Don't need to take...

My husband and I were looking for a quaint place to stay, not a big resort,to stay for a few days prior to boarding a cruise in San Juan. This place is so quaint and Noyda, the manager, is like everyone's mother. She is full of helpful tips on vacationing on the island and even acts as concierge sometimes. She...

I surprised my husband with a trip to Puerto Rico for his birthday. I was looking for a neighborhood guest house close to the beach. Coqui Del Mar could not have been more perfect. We were greeted by Rob the owner who gave us a personal tour of the property which includes a shared outdoor hot tub, upper deck with...

I stayed for 5 nights recently. Visit PR every Jan/Feb for a few days, and have always lodged at a hotel. Thought I'd try this guesthouse, and was very pleased. I stayed in La Isla, and all the kitchen utensils and room amenities worked fine. Only a 3 minute walk to the beach, and located on a secure, private street....

We stayed for 2 nights before our cruise. We arrived super early the first day and Noyda was amazing. Welcomed us with open arms and let us stay in a little open air spot while they got our room ready. They gave us advice on what to see and do and told us about Uber after a rough taxi ride...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
If you want to experience Puerto Rico like a local while still having all the conveniences of home, this is your place. We make you feel at home. You have private personal space (all rooms have private kitchens and private bathrooms), while in a beach side neighborhood setting away from the crowded tourist areas. You will experience some of the best Puerto Rico has to offer while living like a local, visiting the restaurants frequently visited by locals (no chain restaurants near us). We are in the Ocean Park beach area of San Juan, in between Old San Juan and the international airport. We are 3 minutes walk to the nearest beach. Ocean Park beach is one of the locals's favoites, and also a preferred spot for kite surfing and windsurfers. We are 5 minutes walk to the tourist bus route (which goes to the casinos and to Old San Juan) and walkable to restaurants and grocery stores. Each of our units have full kitchen, free WiFi, cable TV/DVD, Apple TV, in room safes, and an Ipod player. We strive to provide more than expected, and I think you will find that with us, from the beach chairs, or bicycles to the in room safes, there are never extra charges. One of the best things about us is our live in management, Noyda and Neal, who call Coqui del Mar home and welcome you as if it is your home as well. They are local experts and can help you find a great restaurant, plan a special event, or enjoy a chat. Our courtyard, bar-b-que and jacuzzi are great for meeting other guests. If you are looking for personal service and a unique, eco-friendly (we have solar hot water supplemented by electric, ceiling fans supplemented by ACs, and offer recycling), and a clean guest house for a reasonable price, then check us out. We are not a Marriott and offer our own unique sense of quirky and intimate Puerto Rico. Come join us. *Our free parking is on a public street in front of our location. Not difficult to find a spot, but it is not designated parking for our guest house and is open to all. * Airport transportation acknowledges that there is taxi service from the airport. **Free parking is on street parking ... more   less
