The first thematic hotel in Ponce to integrate a vintage-modern pop-art. An iconic landmark located at the vital center of Ponce historic district surrounded by a vibrant and diverse ecosystem of museums, monuments, shops, restaurants, cafes and art galleries, the Historic District is an extension of the Fox Hotel urban experience.
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
The staff is very attentive and willing to help. The rooms need a little more clarity regarding lights, but they are very nice and colorful. Various entertainment venues and accessible to many restaurants and bars. We'll be back next year.

I want to start off by saying that we had a great time. This was definitely an interesting experience, and if you are under 23, this is a great place for you.
All this being said, do not stay here if you are looking for a hotel. This is more of a night club with private rooms than a hotel. Our first indication was during check in when we were handed wristbands for “security purposes” because “some people wind up in our lobby who aren’t staying in the hotel.”
For us, the party started at 2:30pm when the house keepers wearing ripped skinny jeans violently opened our door (thinking they were coming into clean) and ripped off our door frame. My husband was using the bathroom at the time and came rushing out (which was fine since the toilet didn’t flush well anyways). All was well, and we laughed it off and we were shortly moved to an upgraded room.
Our upgraded room was bigger, but still had the same size furniture as the original room. An important note is that this room is as far from the lobby as possible, but as we are writing this review at 11pm at night, we will confirm that it doesn’t matter how far you are from the lobby, you will feel like you are in the middle of the dance floor at a club in Miami.
So the whole club thing…nowhere on the hotel website or on hotels.com (where we booked) was there a mention of a DJ performing live outside your room. AND, remember those wristbands? No one attending this club is wearing them so we suspect that just like us, other guests were bamboozled. One last note, this hotel is a great value as you get a $175 club admission for free.
Some pros, because we aren’t the pickiest people and overall we have enjoyed our stay (until we wanted to go to bed):
(1) Lots of alcohol and food on premises (you don’t even need to leave).
(2) Parking is included and a few blocks away (everyone who complained about parking probably doesn’t walk often).
(3) The staff are incredibly friendly! They offered us lots of great recommendations, and let us check in early.
Overall, we recommend that if you are chill and can vibe well, this place can do the job of an overnight stay, but we only think it’s fair to give you a heads up that this is a club more than a hotel.
Good luck, and good night (it’s 11:05 and the music and club are still going strong).

This hotel was rated a 5 star hotel. Although it was very trendy I would not consider this a five star hotel. A few simple things one might take for granted we’re missing. There was no hairdryer, no knob for the shower, no windows in the room, no working elevator, and no safe! There is parking available about a block away from the hotel, but you have to walk with your suitcase to the hotel and the area is very “shady.” The restaurants listed as nearby are mostly kiosks. The music was so loud both nights that we stayed that we couldn’t even hear the tv, let alone sleep until the bar closed downstairs. The rooms are also paper thin and the people next to us continued to party throughout the night. It seems like a fun place for locals and a younger crowd. Just not for us!

It can be defined in one word: "Scam". Reality has nothing to do with the photos that appear on the various booking portals. They charge you the full amount of the reservation in advance when they already know that you will not be able to stay because the water supply pipe has broken. They tell you that you can return now and they don't have hot water, the water pressure is minimal, the WiFi or the TV don't work. There is no air conditioning in common areas. Nothing to do with what was contracted. Getting our money back took us 60 days of daily calls, unanswered emails, complaints at the Tourist Office, at the "Better Business Bureau", at the Ponce City Hall, at the consumer defense office... A authentic ordeal. Don't even think about booking at this hotel, although the location is excellent, the experience was disastrous.

We arrived... the lobby area was hot, seems like the AC doesn't work very well. We go to the front desk & there is no one there. They put a paper that says "For urgent emergencies call this number". We call & say we want to check in, an employee comes & offers the WORST customer service. Later we go to our room & are surprised, it looks nothing like the pictures. I sit on the bed & feel it fall, one of the legs slipped off... we mount it. Clearly a cheap bed. We turn on the TV & it has a black line, it's damaged. An area of the floor (rug) feels wet, we later realize it's because the AC is dripping. We're gonna shower... there's almost no water pressure. The hotel promotes that they have multiple areas for dinning... there are NONE, everything is closed. The areas have zero ameneties, a.k.a. everything is shut down. They do have a small bar that is practically hidden. When it was time to check out, again there is no one at the front desk, we call the number & they tell us to just leave the room key there. A place where someone else could take it. Not very safe.
I would not recommend this hotel. Seems like it's falling apart. They need to put work into it, it has so much potential. I'm left very disappointed.
Only pro's: the AC in the room worked (though it did drip, so not that great) & the room smelled good all the time.

Would you stay in a hotel that knowingly does not offer hot water? When you arrive they inform you that a pipe has broken and there is no running water? In a hotel whose wifi does not work in the rooms? Where the TV doesn't work? That smells musty and there is no air conditioning in the common areas? That you can't sleep because the noise of music at night makes it impossible? Would you stay in a hotel that, faced with these problems, promises a refund for a service that was charged in advance, knowing that it could not provide quality service for the price they charge? That took 60 days to make the promised refund and thanks to my constant insistence and pressure from external government entities? Well, think carefully before making a big mistake! I DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND IT.

Awful experience. Dirty facilities and bad customer service.
1) I booked because of an offer they launched for the month of May. They charged me more than what it was and did not comply with the offer's features. They refused to refund the excess charges. 2) The lobby's carpet was dirty all throughout our stay. 3) We sat in the cafe for lunch and after 10 minutes without anyone coming to the table (although they saw us sit down) we had to go somewhere else. 4) The a/c in the room stopped working, I called the front desk for them to send someone to fix it. Nobody ever came. We were hot for over an hour until the air miraculously cooled down again. 5) The bathtub was dirty and its door did not close properly. 6) There were USED toilet papers under the bed. 7) The iron was damaged and dirty. I could not adjust its temperature because the button was broken. It ruined my shirt upon contact. Obviously, they didn't care or do anything when I went to the front desk to report what happened. 8) I tried to contact management on 3 occasions to resolve all this without leaving a bad review and they completely ignored me.
Not only do they lack professionalism, they don't care about the reputation of the brand.

I stayed here back in 2022 and had a wonderful experience. Saddened to write how deteriorated I found it this March 2024. As soon as I entered, there was no a/c working for the lobby and first floor. The smell of humidity and mold were terrible. The bathrooms next to the front desk were in horrid conditions, the doors did not even close and dubious cleanliness. TV and wifi were not working, no hot water, furniture in the room broken. In the end, the lady in reception offered a transfer to the Meliá Century Hotel a couple of minutes walking distance. Over there the experience was not much better. It is incredible that The Misla Hospitality Group dares to charge $132 per night for such a decayed place. They should take their duties and responsibilities more seriously, investing in the maintenance of the hotel, unless their intentions are to bankrupt the place. I would never recommend a stay here.

Thankful for this hotel experience. The hotel is BEAUTIFUL. The food/ coffee shop is like 10 stars. We had minor hiccups (as travelers do) and they were met with immediate help/ kindness. The beds comfortable with ample pillows . The hotel and rooms were so so cool (temperature AND visually) the room we stayed in could be kept dark by closing there bathroom door so it was so snuggly and sound. And then… once again… the coffee and food downstairs in the cafe… the pork quesadillas. Tyty to all

About the worst stay i have had in Puerto Rico. TV had no signal, rhe wifi did not work, the bathroom had no hand towels or face clothes, no blow dryer, and the worst—no hot water —cold shower only! It is a good location for walking but we were very disappointed and staff were nonplused
