The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, offering us a map of the island and upgrading our room free of charge. We were pleased to find a massive balcony and a spacious room. The location was perfect and made it easy to explore Isabelle and make it to the ferry on time. Our only complaint was that the room could've been much cleaner. The sheets were stained, towels smelled dirty, and the shower curtain had mold. All in all, the view from the balcony and genuine hospitality of the staff made our stay worthwhile, despite some basic cleanliness faux pas.

Not sure where to begin...hospitality overall was lacking from the waitress at the restaurant who stated that bread was by request only since this was not their fine dining restaurant. Apparently so was water since water had to be requested as well. The room was beautiful until I woke up and discovered the reason my comforter was sandwiched between two sheets, was the filthy stains. The receptionist later brought what I thought was a comforter that turned out to be a longe cover. She apologized by saying she didn't work in housekeeping and gave me a voucher for two drinks...which I guess was nice, except the waiter's really have no idea how to make a drink. In fact, I asked for a mimosa for breakfast this morning and the waitress asked if that was a drink with alcohol and if so I would need to wait until after 11 to order. I guess the bartender corrected her because she finally brought a lackluster mimosa to the table which I sipped and walked to another restaurant to enjoy breakfast. I'm going to skip the fact that maintenance had to come unclog the shower and how the bathroom knob fell off every time I opened the bathroom door. The pool is wonderful and so is the view, but it might be worth doing what some others are doing and staying at other hotels and crashing the Waves pool as many of the people I spoke with yesterday were not guest at the hotel.

The manager rescued us from a horrendous Airbnb at 11 p.m. on a busy night. We were ecstatic to find an air conditioned room that was clean and comfortable. The hotel is undergoing repairs but you cannot imagine how much better it was than our Airbnb for half the price. Kudos to manager Juan!!

We live in Vieques and we love visiting the hotels in order to give travelers the best information and updates on services etc! The pool is finished and great!!! The rooms are simple and very comfortable beds. The kitchens are the best! Coffee maker and the refrigerator is huge!! The value for the money is one of a kind! You get one towel per person and you can’t ask for a more spacious room with a balcony... ask for balcony with ocean view!!! These rooms are very simple and no luxury, but very convenient and for the best price and location in Vieques and We Live Here! The people at the front desk are amazing! Make sure to check the check in times because the front desk has times for the keys to the rooms. They are in front of a local bakery that is cheap and delicious coffee and fresh breads, pastries and sandwiches! They also have a Subway downstairs. They have a car rental right under the hotel! There is a beach walking distance called Sea Glass beach and the town Isabel II has the only bank, pharmacy, ice cream place, one of two gas stations on the island! They also have the store VQS (Vieques) Emporium that has a photography exhibition until July 22, 2019! Make sure to check out #artbycarlosgil mural work around the island starting with his murals at the ferry dock and the Fortín! Enjoy your stay!
