I was in room C2, with the biggest balcony (according to the guy at check-in). Beautiful sea view and view of Maskehorn Hill. Very clean room, balcony with flowers and small trees to garantee privacy. Small breeze everytime, so no A/C. Decent shower with hot water. Free breakfast was continental : bread, toasts, croissant, ham/cheese, fresh fruits, orange juice and...

We really enjoyed our stay at Scouts. It was clean and in the center of the Windword side. They have amazing views. The staff was very accommodating. They made our trip very nice making our reservations for cabs, island tours, diving and Resturants. I would recommend this hotel.

Our first trip to Saba for a week after a week on Bonaire, primarily for more diving with the added attraction of hiking the island. We selected Windwardside and do not regret our decision, a lovely town full of nice restaurants and friendly people. We stayed at Scout's Place and frankly it looks pretty tired, but the rooms were well...

We are very sorry that you had this experience. In the meantime, we have addressed several of your negative experiences. Saba is generally a quite island as you know, but mostly Friday's people, locals, tourists, divers and others go out for one night to enjoy the weekend. It's no secret anymore that Scout's Place is hosting an event called Sabaoke...

The pros: very nice view on the island. The people at the reception desk, at the restaurant and everywhere are extremely kind. The breakfast is nice and you can take it on a terrace with a breathtaking view. The cons: everything is getting extremely old with no maintenance at all. We staid 4 days and the phone and the TV...

Dear guests. You can imagine that we are in general not very happy with your review. But since we take all reviews very seriously we want to thank you for your opinion. Obviously many things you experienced at Scout’s Place were really good and this is very nice. Especially our staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the view is second...

Budget friendly hotel with restaurant, pool and great views! There was a nice breeze and I could have the windows open day and night. Reception arranged a taxi tour with Lollipop and I would recommend her tour. Scout's is a short walk to museums, the Trail Shop, restaurants and shops. Should I find myself back on Saba, I would stay...

We were just on Saba for six nights and stayed at Scout's place the whole time. We had a very nice room with a lovely little balcony overlooking the ocean. The rooms are just what you want on a Caribbean vacation: clean and well thought out and a great view! We went to Saba mostly to dive and the hotel...

We stayed here during out three day trip to Saba. The rooms are very basic with no air conditioning, but no hotels on the island have air conditioning. The hotel is in the middle of Windwardside Village, so you're walking distance to the dive shops and restaurants. They have a nice restaurant and bar, but be aware that some nights...

SabaDivers, Owner at Scout's Place Hotel, responded to this review

Dear Anna, not sure but reading your review I felt you meant "reasonable hotel" because of the price. In English "cheap" could be misunderstood. Thanks for the compliment on the service. As I mentioned before in another review, on certain island events Saba gets a bit noisier depends on the event. For example carnival or Saba Day. Nevertheless, we would...

It was a nice staff and the food was excellent at the restaurant but it did not make up for the noise from the bar which went late and would continue on the street outside the rooms after the bar closed. Great location but I would not stay there again. The bed and furnishings were old and not comfortable. They...

Dear traveler, of course, we have mixed feelings concerning your review. We highly appreciate that you liked the food so much but we are sorry that you didn't feel comfortable with the bar noise.
