My daughter and I recently stayed at the Royalton, St Lucia.
Prior to the holiday, we read online reviews and were not sure if we should plump for Diamond Club. We are so glad that we did and would recommend it. Our butlers, Marissa, Augustus and Dell were welcoming, professional, and ensured we wanted for nothing. They accompanied us to our spacious, comfortable rooms, helped with unpacking and settled us in. They called each morning to ascertain any needs or concerns (there were none of the latter) and sought us out during the day to check that all was okay. They advised on resort entertainment, facilities and local amenities and asked if there was anything that could enhance our stay. We liked the fact that they booked evening restaurants for us and ensured that our dining and other requirements were met throughout the day. The variety of cuisine and quality of food and drinks was delicious and plentiful.
In addition to the excellent butler service, several staff members contributed to our amazing stay. These included Ronald (manager), Mervin (front desk), Crystal (cocktail waiter), Urania (housekeeping), Rehab (porter), Dwayne and Sherma (pool side attendants), Theresa (Amiani resort fashion store), buggy, room service and catering staff, and many more. Everyone was friendly and delivered prompt, courteous service with a smile. All we had to do was relax and enjoy.
We had a wonderful holiday and will be going back!

Room Tip:Give strong consideration to Diamond Club booking. May cost a bit more but well worth it.

Absolutely loved the diamond club. We would go back. What a lovely location and the people are so friendly.
This hotel has had some negative reviews however we decided to go and we can positively say we would and will be going back. We were not so keen on the distance of the transfer by car so will probably do the boat transfer next time.
We were greeted nicely, was so welcoming. We checked in which is when you meet your butlers. We were then taken care by our butler Nakita. She was brilliant, she explained everything about the hotel and how things work. She showed us to our room. Wow it was amazing. The cleanliness of the room was lovely, the room was big and had a balcony. We went for the sea view. Beds are so comfortable and pillows too.
We had room service which Nakita explain to us how it works.
She also explained how to book the restaurants and helped us book them when needed.
We spent time by the diamond club pool bar which I must say was comfortable and quiet. (This pool is for relaxing) We could watch people get married by the beach . The staff at the pool bar respectable and as they get to know you and you get to know them you feel more comfortable.
We are by the pool a few times. The food there is basic but so lovely.
Aqua fit is at 11am, a couple of us went nearly every day. It is brilliant and is located at the swim up bar called the chills swimming pool
They also hold other activities there such as a foam party
Dinner at night we prefer the Italian and the armadillo restaurants. ( We also ate at the Italian for breakfast and lunch sometimes) ( I recommend the sea food pasta at lunch in the Italian, it has chilli if you like heat.)
Never had and issue with the food. Not big portions but filled us up.
Evening entertainment was very good. We would have a few drinks and a dance at the MIX cocktail bar.
We did the excursion of the catamaran that takes you round the west coast and took transfers to water fall, mudbaths and lunch. Then back on the boat to then go a swim in the beautiful warm Carribbean sea and take part in snorkeling...
As I said everyone were lovely and we really did have an amazing time.
Totally worth the money.

I'll start from the beginning of my trip. The Royalton is a 2 hour car ride from the airport. We took the helicopter. People at the Royalton were friendly and helpful at check-in, in fact people were helpful and friendly throughout the resort. There were no shortage of bars and bartenders. The drinks were all on point. The resort was very clean, well maintained and kept beautiful. The pools and beach were kept clean. Plenty of chase lounge chairs around the pools and on the beach. There was no need to wake up early to grab a chase lounge chair. I loved the idea of the ice cream and coffee cafe open from morning tonight. The nightly entertainment lasted all night. Every night something was planned. The gift shop located next to the sports bar had decent prices. We ate at every restaurant at least once. My least favorite was the tex-tex. My most favorite was the hibachi. The food truck made good food. For lunch, your choice was buffet, Italian, room service or the food truck. The Jerk Chicken wrap was great. On our last nighy, we ate dinner at Grazie, the Italian restaurant. Trevon was our waiter. The nicest, guy. He was polite and was smiling from ear to ear all night. He had refills of our beverages before we were done with what we were drinking and without us asking. He was the only person in the resort and the first person in my life to do that. Veejay, who worked at the bar on the beach was great also. If this guy was having a bad day, you wouldn't know. Our room was cleaned by Carmen. She left us a personalized hand written letter thanking us for choosing Royalton and wishing us a safe return home. That also is a first for me.

Beautiful location. Superb rooms with very comfy beds. Lack of attention from management to small things. No soap in toilets, broken lifts, no wine glasses every day. Food good but not great. Quite noisy with loud music through day, down by the pools and the beach Overall good but not 5 star!

Returned from a two week holiday AI diamond club with family including a wedding. The set up of the hotel is good. Plenty of pools. Plenty of beds at anytime of the day. Towels are plentiful too. Public toilets are kept clean. Wrist bands are your door key cards which is a great idea
The food is lovely though service within restaurants is slow. Our favourite was the steak restaurant and the Grazia. The Grazia is lovely for breakfast if you are in diamond club.
The beach is small but lovely and lots of water sports included. The local guys on the beach are there to sell trips but do not pester you which is good and they are cheaper than TUI.
Cocktails and drinks are good and branded but they do run out and sometimes they ask you so go to a different bar. One night my husband said no - you go upstairs and get the absolute vodka as I refused to trail around.
Room was lovely with a great view of pools and beach. Two huge double beds and lovely bathroom. In hindsight we should have booked a two bedroom apartment for privacy for our teenager. Downside was mini bar needed more stock especially water and soft drinks.
Problems: Not enough staff so worked to death and are unfriendly. Many evenings - no glasses. Bars close at 11pm not 12 as stated on website. One member of bar staff pointed to the sports bar when I asked for a drink at 11.20pm! He didn’t speak. He then proceeded to serve a gentleman a beer so I went back and said if you can serve him you can serve me ! And he did!
Diamond club We were fourth floor block 7. Lift broke down second day into our holiday. It was fixed on our last day. We are 60 years old and struggled with the stairs. Many guests used staff lift so this broke down often too and the stairs were sloppy due to rain leakage or spillages. Our friend was stuck in the loft for 10 mins. Panicked and crying as the emergency button didn’t work. Eventually tablet to get out and nearly collapsed onto us with fright. Nobody checked on her. Not a butler or any management.
Diamond club bar ran out of water and milk for coffee. Simplest of things. My friend tried the coffee machine and the coffee did not look good. The member of staff watched her do this the. Informed her it was broken. She asked why watch me? This machine was then out of order for three days.
The only place you could get a coffee was the coffee shop which is right next to the main reception is a good walk ! No other restaurants provided coffee through the day or evenings.
Our butlers were mediocre. We heard him inform a guest that he was not her butler and she should ask her own butler but will get her the drink anyway
Our son is 14 years old and was able to get alcohol at any bar. How come ? He clearly had a band on which informs staff he was under age.
Shout out to: Don in Italian restaurant Shop on in bar Jade in steakhouse Alma at diamond club bar Helton on the beach All Grazia staff - mornings and evenings Dario and Sanjay in martini mix bar
The wedding was lovely and all weddings that we saw looked good.

We were at this beautiful resort February 2nd thru 10th. Overall the resort was perfect. A few problems with house keeping that was taken care of at the front desk. Now the main reason to write this review. We had the great pleasure of meeting a special young lady while there. Melanie from the entertainment staff. Never in all my travels have met a person with the energy level that she has. She can dance , sing and most of all has the greatest personality. If I was in charge of this resort I would make sure never to let her go. She took the time to always make sure that my wife and myself were having a great time . Believe me we were. I never travel to a resort more then once but this time I will make a exception. God bless St Lucia and all staff at the Royalton Hideaway .
