When we checked in, there was a letter on our dresser regarding a “winter bug” that some guests were experiencing symptoms from. The letter said that all guests needed to regularly wash their hands, etc. We also noticed hand sanitizer dispensers in various locations. I carried a small bottle of hand sanitizer in my purse, as well, and would use it if I had touched stairway railings or door handles that were likely to be touched by many people. We never saw anyone who was sick, but we took precautions anyway. Hope this helps!

Check with your credit card company:
Depending on the currency that is charged to your card (Caribbean $ or USD for example) and the currency of your card (not sure if you are US or Canadian for example), most credit card companies will charge at least a 2% surcharge ON TOP OF the going currency exchange rate.
Having said that, I think anything you buy at the resort is priced in $USD.
It might be more economical to bring cash that you purchased at home, to avoid the credit card surcharges as mentioned.
However, all things said, you don't need cash for anything at the resort other than maybe trinkets from local artists. Even the Duty Free shop will charge items to your room bill.
For any excursions off the resort that you can't charge to your room bill, I would say "US Cash is King."
The Hot-Tubs at the main buffet restaurant, where all the social activities are, are impeccably clean and very warm.
