You can tell the owners are in the process of updating this property but it's not done in an intrusive way. We stayed in Cabin #1 which was by far the most private of the cabins.

We stayed in the main building but walked the gardens and spent time on the beach. We had no problems with any form of biting insect. My wife is often bitten but not here. That said this was February and it was breezy - the latter always helps. Take an insect repellent and apply but I think you will be pleasantly surprised at the lack of bugs!
