We stayed at Sandals Grade for our honeymoon and we had the best time. The service and food were far beyond our expectations and the staff was friendly and professional. We highly recommend the Spa Services at Red Lane Spa, the Peter Specials at the swim up bar and nightly entertainment. We could not have asked for a better honeymoon and we cannot wait to go back!

We traveled to the Sandals Grand St. Lucian for our daughter's wedding. We couldn't have been more satisfied. They exceeded all expectations. The resort was lovely with a nice beach, great pools, really good food, and their service was exemplary. The wedding was perfect. The flowers, the steel drum band, the cocktail hour, and the dinner were exactly want we wanted. The only downside was having to leave when the week was over. We have already booked another Sandals trip, and we can't wait to go.

My wife and I had a really nice stay at the Grande St. Lucian. We are retirees, unlike the many young honeymooners there who seemed to be the majority of the guests, and enjoyed the adults-only atmosphere. An all-inclusive resort with multiple dining options seemed like a good travel choice during COVID times. Overall a wonderful hotel though not perfect - we have stayed at nicer 5 star hotels - but this one was just what we were looking for. I would give it 4 and a half stars if I could, but I'll round it up to 5 with some caveats. Note that we also stayed a couple of nights at the Sandals La Toc and thought that the Grande was much nicer. The restaurants are all excellent - the food is very good and the staff were all very friendly and attentive. Our favorite restaurants for dinner were Toscanini's, Gordons, and the Bombay Club. We skipped the desserts at the restaurant though and got dessert at the Creperie - excellent crepes. For lunch we ate every day at the Mariner (Barefoot By the Sea at night) - excellent Snapper Salad. We didn't try the Bayside or Kimonos though we heard they were good. The main pool can get pretty busy with lots of folks hanging around the pool bar and drinking tropical cocktails. Not our thing. When we hung out at the beach, we stayed down by the villas away from the noise. From there we could swim in the ocean or rest in the shade while servers brought us drinks - that's the life! Excellent COVID protocols - hand sanitizer was everywhere and they insisted that you use hand sanitizer and wear a mask before entering any restaurant, even though most of the restaurants were outdoors. The staff wore masks at all times. Taking the COVID test at the resort prior to departure was a snap. We liked that St. Lucia requires all tourists to be vaccinated or show a recent negative test to enter the country - and all vaccinated tourists received a white wrist band so it was easy to see who was vaccinated or not. Overall about 80% of the guests were vaccinated - I wish it was better but considering the younger and more southern demographic, that's probably not too bad right now. Hopefully at least some of the other 20% had their vaccines in progress. Unfortunately St. Lucia itself has a pretty low vaccine rate as of now, at only 15%, and we were not sure what % of the staff was vaccinated. My wife and I spent most of our time with watersports - they offer quite a bit of activities, all included. My wife snorkeled everyday (they have a boat that takes you snorkeling twice a day but you have to sign up in advance), and did some paddle boarding and water skiing. I went scuba diving most days on their dive boat that leaves right from the resort and heads out to the local dive sites. The entire dive/snorkel staff is fantastic and their boats are very good. Extra kudos and thanks to Natalia, my advanced dive instructor for the week. The diving in St. Lucia is really good! Very friendly Loyalty Program staff who made our stay very welcoming and made my wife's birthday very special. Shanice was extra helpful and nice to us while booking us another Sandals trip (Grenada next time), and leaving a birthday surprise in our room! We had a Club level room and the staff at the club were very helpful in making reservations for us or addressing any issues that came up. They have entertainment most nights - some nice shows to watch with some very talented local performers. We usually did not stay up late though and a couple of nights the loud music continued well past our bedtime and could be heard clearly in our room, even with ear plugs. It would be nice if they stopped the loud music by 10PM each night. Drinks at your disposal, and many of the guest partake pretty heavily, drinking lots of tropical cocktails which I suspect aren't made super strong. They claim to have Premium spirits, though I don't consider brands like Jim Beam and Jack Daniels to be Premium - Johnny Walker Black was about the best they had in a Scotch, Makers Mark in a Bourbon, and Jameson the best with Irish Whiskey (but you could only get that at the English Pub). Bombay was the best gin. Their web page shows Glenlivet 12 which is a good basic scotch, but they didn't have it at any of the bars. Liquors are kept outside so are very warm - if you have a drink on ice, it will melt in seconds and you quickly have a watered down drink - I eventually ordered my whiskey neat and got a separate glass with ice to try to cool down my drink so that I wasn't drinking 85 degree whiskey. Bartenders were friendly and helpful but their cocktails weren't the best we've had - we had some there that were pretty good but they could use some improvement overall, even in making some basic drinks like a Gin and Tonic or Manhattan. My wife stuck with white wine and I just had my whiskey neat. They should find a way to keep their liquor cooler so that people aren't drinking warm alcohol. Their beer selection could use the most improvement - only two choices - Heineken and the local Piton (owned by Heineken) on draft. Both are lagers - no ale choices - if you like a pale ale or amber ale, or an IPA, you are out of luck. At the British Pub you could get a Guiness or Bass but only in a bottle - those were the only non-lager choices. The craft beer movement is getting very strong in the US and people are developing tastes for better beers - they really need to up their game in this area. And many guests come from the UK where Ales prevail. Please get some Ales on tap! The beds were too firm and pillows too soft for our taste - we learned later that we could have requested a mattress topper and firm pillows - we'll do that next time. Overall a great stay. Much thanks to all the staff at the Grande for their great service! We'll be back.

My husband and I got married at sandals grande in Saint Lucia. Everything was perfect. Our wedding specialist Monica was amazing. She made sure all of our request were catered to. In fact the entire staff provided impeccable 5 star customer service. They all did their jobs very well. Now for the room it was nice however it did have minor flaws. 1) there weren’t any power sockets in the bathroom so it was challenging trying to do my hair in the room with minimum lighting. 2) The shower had a shower curtain which I’m not a big fan of. I thought we would get a shower with glass doors instead of a shower with a cloth shower curtain. Nonetheless, the view made up for the minuscule imperfections. The view was amazing. We had a picturesque view of the ocean with Martinique in the horizon. Talk about Breathtaking. And at night it was so peaceful. I dozed off for several hours one night looking out to the distance listing to the soft waves crashing into the shore line. It was so tranquil. If there were a couch out in the balcony I would have continued to sleep out there. The food was great. As far as cleanliness the room and the hotel was pretty clean, With one exception. I didn’t understand Why they allowed a group of stray cats in the dinning areas. Guest were encouraging the lingering cats by feeding them and petting them and I’m almost most certainly that the cats were unvaccinated and flee infested. Talk about disgusting, it was so gross. I couldn’t even eat in the dinning area. Other than that our vacation and wedding ceremony was magical. And I would definitely recommend this hotel despite the swarm of cats.

This resort is AMAZING! There’s nothing I could say we didn’t like about our trip. The service was amazing, so many food options and the atmosphere was so fun. We loved all the restaurants and there was a large variety of food to choose from. There was always some kind of event happening at night too. We spent our day between the pool and ocean. Talk about an amazing trip. We can’t wait to come back one day!
