The place is hidden behind a beautiful garden, which is a treat in otherwise-dusty Gros Islet. It felt like we were ducking into a private space. Room was more spacious than we anticipated, the little kitchenette made it convenient to purchase fruit from the stand across the road, the balcony was a great place to listen to the steel pan...

This is the perfect hotel if you are staying in Gros Islet walking distance to everything. Stay on a Friday night and check out the street party! It is awesome. The service was great. The rooms are nice and spotless. The family which runs it is lovely. This is the place to stay!

The owner Janet is very nice and helpful with every little problem and issue. The room was cleaned and towels changed every day. Lovely homely feelings in the rooms with TV, phone and aircon. The rooms also have a lovely balcony. The area is quiet and close to the sea, restaurants and bars, and to the main road for buses....

We booked the Hotel Chez Marie Alish only two days before arriving after watching prices on the island for a while, and as it turned out, we made the right choice. This isn't your fancy manicured 5 star resort. If you like to meet real people when travelling, then this is better. Castro and the rest of the owners /...

Pros: Clean room, good kitchenette, big balcony, good air conditioning, parking Cons: Ants all over, lazy staff, no phone access even when it was offered, they double-booked our room the first night and didn't seem to think it was an issue until I complained to the booking company, they're cheap on towels and sheets and only changed our sheets once...

I booked this place for one night with booking.com. There booking conditions state that up to 25% of the charge may be taken as a reservation and that cancellation is for free. The hotel (I know it was them because booking.com customer service included the email reply) charged me the full rate twice ($77.79 x 2) 6 weeks before my...

Staying in Chez Marie Alish Appartments was a sweet local Lucian experience. The room is comfortable and clean, decorated with fresh flowers. This place is a great budget stay especially if you want to experience the locals of St. Lucia. It is beautifully situated with a restaurant, the police station, and gas station right around the corner, a bakery right...

This hotel is in the ideal spot for Jazz, Rodney Bay facilities and Gros Islet Fish Friday lime. Its also in the ideal spot for transportation. We woke up to sweep pan music every morning for most of the 6 days we were there. The owners are very much warm and friendly and attended to our immediate needs. However there...

We just spent 10 nights at the Chez Marie Alish apartments and had the most amazing time. The owners Castro and Janet couldn't be more helpful. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. It was cleaned every day and we were given fresh linen as and when we wanted it. It's location is also perfect,...
