I didn't stay here because it was a bit pricey. I stayed at Tet Rouge (a great resort) and rented a jeep and drove here a few times. If I was more flush, I would stay at Anse Chastenet, I think it is the best hotel on St. Lucia. There are two lovely beaches here, one at the bottom of...

My wife and I are avid divers and underwater photographers spending the majority of our diving life in Indonesia or Papua New Guinea. I've worked in the dive industry as a divemaster in the Caribbean as well, but that was many decades ago. St. Lucia and Anse Chastanet was a welcome surprise. Many of the guests we met were multiple...

In a beautiful, forested location with a tremendous view of Grand and P'tit Piton overlooking a lovely bay with a marine reserve, Anse Chastanet offers great service, excellent rooms, and a nice, well managed range of activities and amenities. A couple of the restaurants are delightful (we were not so impressed by the vegetarian outlet), and there is a day...

Came here mostly try the burgers at Anse Mamin I had read so much about, but we arrived too late in the day. Gave it a 3 instead of a 4 because I'm not convinced the drive to get there is worth it. Don't get me wrong, the beach is fine, but i won't be driving myself there again. We...

We visited Anse Chastanet on 3 separate occasions to use their beach and to have some afternoon drinks at their beach bar during our recent trip to St. Lucia. They do charge for lounge chairs but as we were only staying a couple of hours we opted at putting our towels on the beach. The water is warm, clear and...

Really lovely resort with excellent service. Stayed with all inclusive package which offered superb food drink. Lots of activities including good diving. A lunch at Jade is a must with its idyllic views of the Pitons.

My friend and I went here today as non-residents of the Jade resort and they were so incredibly rude. When I told them they didn't have to be so rude, (and really shouldn't be given this entire island relies on a tourist economy) the manager woman charged us $17 carribean for a single bottle of water and then refused to...

I am staying at the uptown guest house in Soufriere and decided to go to this resort, which also welcomes visitors who are not staying. I could have walked the hilly 2 km in, or hired a land taxi but opted instead on a water taxi. I wandered to the Hummingbird beach in the early morning where I found a...

We planned a Christmas family (3) holiday in the Caribbean and since we had never been to St. Lucia, decided on Anse Chastanet. It was expensive (for us anyway), but worth the cost. We are a scuba diving family and this resort had a 5 star PADI facility(Scuba St. Lucia) right on the beach. Anse Chastanet resort has several beachside...

We have recently returned from a very disappointing 11-night stay at the Anse Chastanet resort. We paid £586.94 per night for an all-inclusive package with Deluxe Beachside room – a total cost of £7,747.52, however we were very clearly mis-sold on what we were led to believe was a 4 / 5 star hotel (depending on the website reviewed), but...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Tranquility, Romance, Adventure: What were Caribbean hotels like when you sat watching the sunset instead of cable TV? You can still find that Classic Caribbean at Anse Chastanet on St. Lucia’s quiet southwestern coast where two magical peaks, the Pitons, leap from the sea and the mountains are covered with luminous greenery.Architect owner Nick Troubetzkoy believes passionately in nature. So he created a hotel that makes the foliage and the flowers, the perfumes and the peaks, the sea and the bird song an integral part of your vacation experience. The estate encompasses 600 lush tropical acres bordering two soft sand beaches. The resort’s two crystal-clear bays are part of a designated marine reserve protecting miles of colorful coral reefs teeming with tropical fish. With such a unique setting as his canvas, Nick Troubetzkoy was inspired to design a one -of-a-kind resort. A dozen rooms are tucked in behind the coconut palms that line the beach and the remainder tip toe up a flower decked hillside, taking advantage of the captivating scenery all around. Anse Chastanet’s ever growing art collection provides a visual feast of its own. There are impressive wooden sculptures and plaques, earthy burlap compositions, painted “sky ceilings” and vibrant acrylic paintings invoking memories of Matisse and Picasso. And while the sensuous seclusion of the rooms provides some guests with the perfect excuse for lolling away the day on the balcony, others head out to partake in the many activities on offer; yoga, snorkeling, scuba diving, tennis, sunset sailing, sea kayaking or jungle biking, hiking and bird-watching among the ruins of an 18th century colonial plantation. ... more   less
