My husband and I just spent 10 days at Anse Chastenet for our honeymoon and had an absolutely brilliant time. We are both in our 40's and both own successful businesses in the UK service industry sector, so we do know a good level of service when we experience it! We can honestly say that we were very happy with...

I recently travelled to St. Lucia with my family (husband and two adult children), staying at Anse Chastanet for 6 nights. The trip was one of the best we've had as a family, with the location being spectacular, the staff among the best we've ever worked with, and the food absolutely outstanding. The variety of activities available was just perfect...

This resort is in a great location with great facilities, restaurants, beaches and activities. You can be as active or inactive as you please. The beach huts are especially good for the inactive moments, with food and beverage service right to your lounge chair. There are two separate beaches: one next to the resort (Anse Chastanet Beach) and another a...

We stayed at Anse Chasnet June 16-23, 2012. We truly enjoyed this stay. I must admit, I stayed Beachside with AC and used it plus a fan and it was very comfortable. I didn't have the desire to walk the stairs several times a day or have a beautiful view despite the heat and humidity like several others did. We...

Absolute great staff. We did a dive package of 12 dives and it was excellent. The dive shop staff is top tier. The beach was clean and well kept. The rooms were rustic. No television for a week what to do? Read. Need to buy a full meal plan and enjoy the gourmet dinner dining and good eats for breakfast,...

The staff, service, and food are outstanding. This is a nature resort, not a chlorinated plastic cup chair factory. If you like getting to know a culture and having top notch service this is your place. Perfect island getaway...

We first stayed at at Anse Chastanet five years ago and thought we had found paradise. A resort with a romantic feel in sight of the spectacular Pitons combining rain forest, beach and on site diving. In June this year we returned hoping to find the same thing, this time we wanted to ensure we had a great view of...

My partner and I spent a relaxing week at the Anse Chastenet in May 2012. We loved every moment there. Our room was incredible overlooking the bay. Don't be worried about the hotel not having a pool (as we were) but honestly you don't miss it as the beach and ocean are amazing. The food was great. A few downsides...Get...

The staff was tremendous, always there to make your stay be as enjoyable as possible. The food at the restaurants were really, really good. They have many excursions that leave right from the beach. You can spend countless hours snorkeling, as we did, for free. They have some of the best snorkeling on the entire island as numerous boats drop...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Tranquility, Romance, Adventure: What were Caribbean hotels like when you sat watching the sunset instead of cable TV? You can still find that Classic Caribbean at Anse Chastanet on St. Lucia’s quiet southwestern coast where two magical peaks, the Pitons, leap from the sea and the mountains are covered with luminous greenery.Architect owner Nick Troubetzkoy believes passionately in nature. So he created a hotel that makes the foliage and the flowers, the perfumes and the peaks, the sea and the bird song an integral part of your vacation experience. The estate encompasses 600 lush tropical acres bordering two soft sand beaches. The resort’s two crystal-clear bays are part of a designated marine reserve protecting miles of colorful coral reefs teeming with tropical fish. With such a unique setting as his canvas, Nick Troubetzkoy was inspired to design a one -of-a-kind resort. A dozen rooms are tucked in behind the coconut palms that line the beach and the remainder tip toe up a flower decked hillside, taking advantage of the captivating scenery all around. Anse Chastanet’s ever growing art collection provides a visual feast of its own. There are impressive wooden sculptures and plaques, earthy burlap compositions, painted “sky ceilings” and vibrant acrylic paintings invoking memories of Matisse and Picasso. And while the sensuous seclusion of the rooms provides some guests with the perfect excuse for lolling away the day on the balcony, others head out to partake in the many activities on offer; yoga, snorkeling, scuba diving, tennis, sunset sailing, sea kayaking or jungle biking, hiking and bird-watching among the ruins of an 18th century colonial plantation. ... more   less
