Stonefield Villa Resorts was beyond anything we could have hoped for. The dramatic view was breathtaking. The spacious and beautifully furnished villa was totally private and so quiet that I never heard any other guests. It was a convenient walk up the stairway to the pool and restaurant. The food was all seasonally organic and locally grown. All members of the staff were very friendly and totally professional. It was easy enough to take the shuttle to Sugar Beach but we also took our car to Malgratoute Beach and were so lucky one day to see horses being ridden bareback up and down the beach by young local boys. We drove to Castries for an afternoon just to check it out. The drive was about 1 1/4 hours of hairpin turns around mountain after mountain. It was pretty scary! I liked staying near the Pitons because that area offers quite a few local sightseeing places in St. Lucia, such as the Diamond Falls Botanical Garden, The Drive-Thru Volcano and the Mud Baths, The Tet Paul Mountain Trail, and the Morne Coubaril Estate Zip Lining. I highly recommend the Stonefield Villa Resort!

From the minute I was picked up from the airport I knew I chose the right hotel! Stonefield was absolutely wonderful! The personal driver was kind, and educated me on the island throughout the drive. I also appreciate that the hotel sent a separate taxi for each guest to ensure that we were able to socially distance while being transported to the resort.
Upon checking in, I was met by kind staff who all wore masks. In order to continue social distance protocol, each room was given a private cell phone to easily communicate our needs to staff without having to do so in person. I honestly felt like I was the only one at the resort.
The excursions were amazing and to boot, COVID tests were done for FREE on the property since I stayed for more than 4 days.
The food was to die for and it was honestly a week of pure bliss.

This IS certainly the place to stay in St Lucia. You are in the volcano amidst idyllic flora and fauna. Staff is accommodating— cooked our fresh catch for us and served us straight from their farm to table vegetables and fruits. Our compliments to the artistic chef! Plus, the COVID safety restrictions in place enabled a stress free true emersion in a carribean paradise. We plan to visit again and stay in the beautiful villa with its individual swimming pool and bathe in the outdoor bath ( under the trees)!

My wife and I went to Stonefield for my 40th birthday. Our first and everlasting impression is that it was absolutely breathtaking! The views from our room in Jacaranda were incredible. The room itself was spacious and comfortable. The staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly. They did everything possible to ensure we had everything we needed. The tiny cell phone they give you to carry around the island was an extra nice touch.
The only knock for us that most reviews don’t seem to agree/acknowledge, was the food. It was pretty bad all around. 2 star quality at 5 star prices. The breakfast that was included was the best tasting and we ate breakfast everyday at the Mango Tree. But even that was rather pedestrian. The fruit was often not ripe and the coffee was mediocre. But free is free so we ate it.
Luckily we had a fully loaded kitchen in our room that we used to make grilled cheeses for lunch and pasta dishes for dinner. It was way cheaper and way better. We did have a final meal at Chocolat and it was stupendous. Highly recommended.
3 other things that would change this review from 4 stars to 5 stars:
1) While we enjoyed the sunset yoga, it would have been better outdoors rather than inside. Rather than seeing the sun set as we yoga’d, we were doing yoga at the time of the sunset. Not the same. It would have also been better if the instructor incorporated the sunset into the yoga exercises or acknowledged it in some way.
There is actually an outdoor platform by the gym that faces the sunset and could have been used for this. We were headed there assuming that’s where it’d be before we were redirected.
2) the stars at night are amazing! Very little light pollution. My wife and I went onto the said platform at night and laid on our backs star gazing. An amazing experience. What would be awesome is if the resort brought in a professional astronomer or someone with a telescope that knows what they’re doing a couple times per week. Charge $10 a pop and it’s a win-win for everyone.
3) we found the petroglyphs, which were cool. It would be nice to at least have a plaque with some information about what it is, who did it, when, and what they were trying to communicate. We realized later that Stonefield’s emblem is an image of the petroglyphs so it was even more odd that there was no information about them
All of this notwithstanding, we loved our stay in paradise and highly recommend it to anyone who is thinking of going.

After reading all the good reviews I was really surprised about this property.
Upon arrival we were greeted by a woman at the front desk no warm smile just give me your passport info then she told us the room was not ready we were walked to the restaurant and received the same cold treatment there. After waiting half an hour I asked if we could be served and the lady didn’t respond at all and ignored me, then after a few minutes looked up as I was still standing there and said I will be with you in a moment with what seemed like attitude. I found out later this wasn't intentional as she was like this with all guests but she should probably be trained to be friendly. The food was actually good so that is a plus.
We finally got our room after an hour or more, our room had old furniture and would speak in the night with creeks and cracks. The view was spectacular and that is basically all you are paying for when you get a room at this property. The bathrooms were not clean faucets had limescale or calcium buildup. I only showered twice while I was there and did not have hot water for one of the showers. The showers are outdoor and because of that there are mosquitos that find their way in to the rooms. The rooms have AC but the main area where the kitchen and dining room are do not. We saw a few dead cockroaches during our stay as well.
When we were ready to check out we asked for late checkout since it was only fair as our room was given to us very late. Sachin the boy at the front desk said we could not have it as there was an early check in at 1pm. This was a bold face lie because the next day a lady from front desk called to say we could get late check out. There is no consistency in the hotel policies here and we were very unhappy the boy at the front desk lied to us.
All in all I hope this property puts more effort into training staff on how to handle guests and clean rooms. The property is beautiful and provides an amazing view and good food but the service is terrible and rooms are old and dingy and not clean enough to be a 4-5 star. I would not return.

Thank you for your feedback. We take any negative feedback very seriously as this is not reflective of the product we work to deliver. It is however highly unlikely that our staff would lie about a late check out availability. In hospitality, arrival times of guests frequently change, which would have opened your villa up for a late check out despite it not being available the night before. Our villas are architecturally designed with the tropics and our views in mind. Our one bedroom ocean view villas are FULLY air conditioned, however, our larger two, three and five bedroom villas have AC in all bedrooms only. We are clear about this online. This is very common in the Caribbean. All bathroom shower areas have doors as well. This review will be used as an asset for our operations team to assess the areas that you referenced. We were really excited and looked forward to staying at this property but I must admit they did not even meet our expectations. Upon check in we were greeted but not informed or any amenities on property, not given directions to the restaurants, gym, spa or anything on property. It was literally a hi hello give me your credit card and sign here. No customer service at all! This is the prime opportunity to set the stage and it was set alright, set way low. Our stay was split between garden view for 1 night and then ocean view for the next two nights. Chalon room I would rate 2 stars. Comfortable bed, nice outdoor area with a good size plunge pool but the inside needs to be updated! 2nd room was raintree much better with decor for 2022 but the bed was absolutely uncomfortable and squeaked with every single movement you make. This room I would give 3 stars. Breakfast was really good and the views at the property are amazing! However this property manager needs to train employees on how to provide exceptional customer service because o would not visit again and pay a premium for subpar service.
We were visiting for a special occasion and the resort staff did not even acknowledge this at all. They inquired why on a paper upon arrival we gave it to the employee and she didn’t even say congratulations or anything.

This resort was a unique experience for us on our family vacation. We stayed in the Limemill Villa. The villa was beautifully set in a perfect location for the most amazing views of the Pitons, tropical forest and the sea. It was truly a treat to have our own pool right outside our door. The bedrooms were air conditioned which allowed us to sleep very peacefully at night. We also loved the outside showers. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed talking to everyone to get some advice on things to do on the island. We had the best time at this hidden gem and would love to return.

Such a wonderful place to stay. The villas are all secluded with their own pools. The views are to die for. They have a phone system, whereby every villa is issued a mobile phone. If you go out for the day or meal, take it with you and when you are ready, you just call the front desk, and they will arrange your pick up. Housekeeping call to see if you need anything or cleaning every morning, so as not to disturb you with unnecessary intrusion. The food is absolutely amazing and all the staff are friendly and helpful. I forgot my comb, so a member of staff went into town and brought one back, along with other items for guests.

My husband and I first visited Stonefield last March. We fell in love with it then and booked our trip for this February shortly after we returned. We had an Oceanview Villa with views of the ocean and Pitons. We did all-inclusive this time and felt it was well worth it. There are plenty of activities to do if you choose. Several days we simply relaxed by our private pool in the sunshine and read. The Mango Tree restaurant (on property) is a great choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The beach shuttles are easy and convenient. The staff at Stonefield is also very good at arranging taxi service to and from the airport as well as to and from various sightseeing areas. We will be back!

Nestled in the Soufriere hills, Stonefield is one of the island's few eco-resorts. Built on a former cocoa plantation, Stonefield was built in tandem with nature, paying homage to both history and the breathtaking Saint Lucian landscape.
We spent our honeymoon here, and words cannot describe the sheer bliss that accompanies waking up near the foot of one of the world's most prolific world heritage sites - the Pitons.
With friendly and knowledgeable staff, a menu that embraces all things local and the ideal ambiance, the Mango Tree Restaurant and by extension the resort, perfectly encapsulates true Saint Lucian hospitality.
We definitely foresee another stay in the near future.
