Nestled in a picturesque setting, Green Fig Resort & Spa is celebrated for its breathtaking views, multiple pools, and modern, private rooms with a treehouse feel. Guests consistently commend the staff for their warm, attentive service and the resort's cleanliness. While the lively atmosphere with live music is a hit, some visitors are perturbed by the noise from local nightlife. Although the hilly terrain may challenge some, many find the resort's offerings a good value, despite occasional remarks about pricey food and drinks.

Green Fig is a stunning boutique hotel nested in the hillside in Soufriere. It has breathe-taking views of the colorful town and the Petite Piton. I can't even begin to explain the kindness and caring shown to us by the staff there when I visited with my two best friends. Susanne and Juan were incredible waitresses, who's bright smiles we looked forward to every day. Wesley cooked us meals that are typical to St Lucia, and we loved that because we were very interested in the culture there. His food was FANTASTIC. Michael, the manager was constantly looking out for us and helping us with everything from finding the best places to eat in town to getting us extra towels and whatever else we needed. Lee and Denzel made us many incredible drinks at the bar as well. The hotel has security guards 24/7 at every entrance and there wasn't a time when I didn't feel completely safe. The property itself is beautiful, and being there you feel like you're almost a part of the surrounding jungle. One thing that I especially valued about this hotel was their concern with the environment. They have energy saving air conditioners in the AC rooms, they use only paper straws and cloth napkins, and they also use soap/shampoo/conditioner dispensers in the bathrooms to reduce their plastic waste. I was truly impressed. This hotel appeals to guests of all ages and origins, and I will DEFINITELY be coming back. One thing to note, is that the whole hotel is open air and there are no indoor spaces, so masks were not required.

My wife and I were very pleased with out stay at Green Fig resort in Soufriere.

Rooms with a view of the famous Pitons are typically expensive, especially in the busier winter months. We found the price at Green Fig to be reasonable enough to stay for almost a week.

We chose an open air room. It was well equipped with mosquito nets covering the doors and windows, and and an additional net for the large, comfortable bed. We did not notice any bugs, and the temperature was pleasant late February. Please note that the open air nature of the room lets in some of the sounds from the town below.

The staff and service at the hotel were a highlight. Our bartender Kelsie was friendly and accommodating. She prepared an 'off menu' green smoothie for my wife dubbed the "KLC" made of fresh kale and spinach.

We met up with several couples in their 30's from the US and the UK during our stay. It was nice coordinating excursions together, I recommend snorkeling and the volcanic mud baths. (Pack a black swimsuit, the volcanic mud stains)

The overall experience was fantastic. If you're looking for a laid back atmosphere in one of the most beautiful locations on the planet, I highly recommend Green Fig Resort & Spa.

I have many positive thoughts regarding Green Fig and barely any negative. My accommodations were comfortable and the AC worked perfectly. The staff was great ; Mr. Wolff the GM has assembled a good crew who were attentive and friendly. Particular thanks to Tim the porter who was so very helpful. The spa's location in the treetops made for a relaxing afternoon and the price for a massage was well in keeping what you would expect to pay for the service.

The food was quite tasty, I never thought I would like unripened bananas, but you should try the saltfish and green fig entree. I was able to schedule numerous excursions through the resort. Transportation to beaches, the volcano, and Tet Paul were easy to arrange and I appreciated local drivers who had background knowledge about the locale. I also did a full island tour, lunch at the Coal Pot was fantastic and the views from the western side of the island were stunning.

There was a concern regarding my flight home being cancelled due to weather. The front desk informed me there were no rooms available the next day, but they were happy to find me a place if it was needed. Just top notch service.

As for the negatives, it depends how you feel about noise and stairs. The two bedroom room with AC blocked out the background roosters and dogs barking (according to my driver there is a man in Soufriere who has 25 dogs in his backyard). I did not need to use the earplugs provided by the resort and slept well. If you have one of the open air suites you may need them. I attached a picture of some of the stairs used to reach the restaurant/main area. I managed them easily, but if you have mobility issues they could be an issue. A room closer to the main level would be a better choice.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Green Fig and would recommend it to anyone who wanted to enjoy St. Lucia without breaking the bank.

My husband & I spent nine wonderful days at Green Fig a few weeks ago. The views were spectacular, the staff super friendly & the manager extremely helpful. The steps were tough on our old knees but the view from our room was definitely worth the climb. The stairs were lit at night & there was a railing so we had no stumbles & felt safe. Also, there are plenty of rooms that require few or no stairs. The few things we had issues with, the fridge didn’t cool enough, the safe stopped working, were dealt with immediately & we were pleased with the quick response. The dogs down below in town barked a lot at certain times of the day but that wasn’t the resort’s fault & that kennel will move eventually, hopefully sooner than later. It did not disturb our sleep. The exotic sounds of the frogs at night were absolutely enchanting. We didn’t see a single mosquito or biting insect; the refreshing breeze off the ocean probably helped with that.
We loved the music & the dancing (it had been awhile), the open air dining (the jerk chicken, catch of the day & fish sandwich & fries were favorites), the many & varied excursion options, & the overall friendly & relaxed vibe of the resort. The folk in town were friendly & helpful & it felt very safe, both safety & virus-wise. Very steep road to beach/boat launch/town but taxis were readily available ($5 each way to beach below) & if you made arrangements to be picked up, they were there on time (or you could use WhatsApp to call when ready). We loved the hotel’s regular taxi drivers, so friendly & knowledgeable.
A huge thank you to everyone at Green Fig (too many to name but it says a lot that we do remember all your names:), you made this a fantastic trip we will never forget. Our friends all want to repeat our exact trip after seeing our photos. If pictures speak a thousand words, our pics above say it all.
Love & hugs to all,
Catalina & Roger

Words can’t express my gratitude for the amazing 5 day vacation my boyfriend and I had. It was our first time traveling outside of the country together so I had a lot of questions. Michael, the manager, was incredibly kind and he made us feel great about our trip before we even got to St. Lucia. He always responds quickly and is happy to help in any way.

The resort is STUNNING. It’s in a perfect location because it’s less than 20 minutes away from all of the most beautiful nature spots that we wanted to see. (See pics.) We could see The Piton from our big balcony, which had a private outdoor shower!

What stood out most for us was the warm and selfless nature of the staff. They truly went above and beyond for us. I have many examples:

I’m vegan, and they had many food options, but they also went and got plant based meat because they overheard me talking about how good my boyfriend’s burger looked. I didn’t even have to ask. They were on it.

We wanted to climb The Petit Piton (the more difficult one) so we asked the staff where we could buy a backpack to fill up with water bottles and snacks. Two of the bartenders, Denzel and Suzanne, literally handed us the backpacks that they brought to work, knowing they would get dirty, just so we didn’t have to go buy new ones. Then Michael filled them up with water bottles for us.

Sugar Beach (5-10 min drive from Green Fig) is a BEAUTIFUL white sand beach right in between The Pitons but it was “impossible” to access by car because the resort was under renovation. You had to take a boat taxi and locals were charging $100 per person. Our breakfast waitress, Juan, made one phone call to her friend who worked security at the resort and they let us drive in for free. We had almost the entire beach to ourselves.

There were so many instances like these. So I highly recommend Green Fig if you want to experience a perfect blend of a luxurious getaway and an authentic, adventurous, “islander” experience.

This review is a long time coming. I was blessed beyond measure to have celebrated the 2022 new year at this gem of a boutique resort along with some of my most cherished friends. Greenfig Resort was a therapeutic wonder, continuously enveloping us with magical views and homey comforts. The resort was just naturally stunning. I kept marvelling at the rustic beauty and truly appreciated how nature had been so beautifully incorporated into the space, from the unexpected treehouse, to the boulder chimney, to the restaurant and bar areas. Nature was just ever-present doing its thing and I was happy for all of it. The room was extremely comfortable with all the expected amenities and it was evident that thought had gone into ensuring that the spectacular Piton and Soufriere town views were constantly accessible. While I never used room service, I was impressed with housekeeping as my room was always kept clean throughout the duration of my stay.

Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day and Saltfish Restaurant did not disappoint. The French Toast was to die for, with the warm spices and whipped cream feeling like a perfect hug every time. I also remember really enjoying the bruschetta and being blown away by a coconut shrimp appetizer. The staff was amiable and helpful, and really made the stay truly enjoyable with their willingness to be of service. From Greenfig Resort we were able to easily access other points of interest in the Soufriere area such as The Sulphur Springs, Soufriere Beach Park, Soufriere Town and New Jerusalem Waterfalls. All in all, I left the resort feeling completely rejuvenated, grateful and ready to take on the new year. Thank you so much to Michael and his staff for a spectacular and memorable experience! xoxo

My wife and I stayed here for just about a week. We absolutely enjoyed our time at Green Fig. We tend to gravitate towards unique places with character and charm, and love when the grounds incorporate the natural beauty of the environment it is in. Because the buildings are on different levels, there are plenty of areas to explore just walking throughout the resort. There are also multiple small pools to choose from and we shared our time between all three. We stayed in a Bali-style open air room, which was very fun. It is screened, so we didn’t have a problem with insects. They provide mosquito netting above the beds, but we really didn’t need them. We have more bugs in Michigan than it seemed they have here. If you are a light sleeper, you have to get used to the sound of the dogs at night and roosters in the morning from the city of Soufriere below. This is no fault of the resort, but the open air rooms do allow the sound in.

As many others have said, the views are amazing, and it was fun sitting in different areas each night for our meals. The food was also very good. Although a smaller menu, the preparation and execution were spot on, and we enjoyed everything we had. Looking at the menu and descriptions, we weren’t expecting the quality of the food to be as high as it was.

We were equally impressed by the entire staff. The managers Michael and Spencer went above and beyond to ensure that we were enjoying our stay, and their interest was heartfelt and sincere. There are too many people to list by name (plus I would probably butcher the spellings), but we had many great people taking care of us. We got to know almost everything by name, and everyone would greet us with a friendly hello and smile and ask how we doing each day. We felt very welcomed, and again, everyone was very sincere.

With this being a smaller resort than some, it is great for those looking for a place to relax, unwind, and get immersed in the beauty of the surroundings. We would highly recommend Green Fig!

The Green Fig is a magical getaway in the hills of Soufriere. There are many hidden little nooks and crannies where you can be alone with your lover, or have a quiet place to reflect on the tropical beauty around you. It seems that the resort used to be a mango plantation, so delicious mangoes grow everywhere. We were there in late June, which coincided with the mango harvest, so we literally had juicy, delicious mangoes dropping at our feet.
We stayed in the Romance suite for 7 days. The view from the room and lanai was absolutely amazing, and every morning we woke up to a view of the calm ocean and the Petit Piton. One thing to note about this resort is that although it is not directly in the village, village sounds can be heard early in the morning. Barking dogs, crowing roosters, and townspeople getting ready for the day were our alarm clocks. At dusk, the soundscape changed to the chorus of treefrogs and geckos peeping and chirping.
The room was spacious, and had the basic amenities, including an in room dorm fridge and coffee maker. On the lanai was a small whirlpool sized pool, which is too small for anything other than relaxing in the heat of the day. Many mornings were spent enjoying a book and a cup of coffee while relaxing in the pool on the lanai. We did not have any issues with our room, but our friends, who also had the other Romance suite beneath ours, had their air conditioning fail on the second day. A call to the front desk and an hour later and there was a brand new air conditioner installed. The staff really took care of us during our stay. They were friendly, helpful, and always happy to give advice.
We ate most breakfasts, and several dinners at Saltfish, the sole restaurant at the resort. The meals at Saltfish were very good, freshly prepared and flavorful. They even had a father's day buffet brunch with live music, which was amazing.
We actually had planned to come in January for our wive's birthdays, which are a few days apart, but due to COVID, we had to cancel. Although it was six months past their birthdays, the staff still put together a special dinner for us and decorated our table and had a special dessert for them. We loved all of the staff, and Michael, the manager, was easy to contact via Whatsapp and quick to respond to any questions.
The one caveat that I would pass on is that this room at this resort is NOT a good place if you have mobility issues. Our suites were located down the hill from the restaurant, spa, office, and parking lot. We counted over 120 steep stairs from our room up to the entrance of the resort. It wasn't an issue for us, but certainly could be if you have problems getting up and down stairs.

I'll start off by saying I reviewed many places before deciding on Green Fig and it truly exceeded my expectations. The staff was beyond attentive with helping me plan excursions and reservations. The food was delicious and the view from my room was spectacular. Also, the room it self was spacious, clean and by far the nicest layout I've ever seen in resort. I stayed in room 221. The room location also has a small plunge pool on the exterior and a roof top patio which I enjoyed daily by exercising. The only issue some visitors may not enjoy are the stairs. The property is built adjacent to a mountain so going through the property might be strenuous for some. The resort has tried to make it easier by strategically placing landings and a bench for resting areas. I didn't mind the steps. I called it a built in gym and actually used them as apart of my workout.
Michael and his team are professional and courteous. They will definitely make certain all guest enjoy their stay. I've already made plans to come back. Thank Green Fig for an excellent St. Lucia experience!!

My husband and I had an amazing experience at Green Fig! I don't even know where and how to even begin talking about our experience. It was PHENOMENAL!!! From the moment we booked the trip until the end of the trip, the customer experience was top notch. The Manger Michael was responsive to all of our messages and needs. His office staff (Joy) took care of all of our transportation needs by making sure we were picked up and dropped off to our excursions and dinner dates on time. The resort is located on a hill with direct views of a Piton. We booked our first two nights in the Bali Suite room which was authentically beautiful and gave us an birdhouse/rainforest feel. Our window and balcony was directly facing the Piton and the town of Soufriere down below (where beautiful and colorful houses were). We enjoyed getting our steps in daily as we walked up and down the many stairs to get to different parts of the resort (be sure to wear comfy shoes as the steps and walkways are a bit bumpy and steep at some points).

Our friends renewed their vows while we were there and it was the most beautiful and intimate ceremony we had ever seen. The manager arranged for an officiant to come to the resort to remarry our friends as well as a decorating team to decorate the balcony for our friends where the ceremony took place (with the beautiful piton in the background).

We enjoyed the architect of the resort so much that we wanted to experience another room with a more closed off wall and with an AC to get the traditional resort room experience as well. The food at the resort was delicious EVERY single time!! Chef Wesley ensured that we were well taken cared of for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! The servers, cleaning crew, and bar crew were all welcoming and had amazing hospitality. When you go away, you want to know that you're in good hands, I can honestly say that Michael and his team provided that feeling and more!

We enjoyed the private pools located in different parts of the resort. We had a wonderful couples massage at the spa where we over looked the town and directly viewed the Piton!! Our last night was so much fun, there was a live singer and pianist that played music while we ate dinner and had the small crowd dancing and singing. The resort was intimate and private and allowed my husband and I to disconnect from the world around us to just live and bask in the beautiful moments that Green Fig afforded us for an entire week! We visited Sulphur Springs, took a boat ride to Marigot Bay, Sugar Beach, Anse Chastanet beach, and Sapphire Falls (the front desk helped to arrange our transportation each time).

Green Fig Resort & Spa definitely holds a very special place in my heart! My husband and I will be returning again! Thank you Michael & Jason for your amazing hospitality!

The music from what we understand is on weekends or in our case on a Monday holiday- the other days we were there did not have music coming up from the town. There were however roosters crowing and dogs barking in the early morning hours (and other times of day). I don't remember if that could be heard in our room, but might be something to consider
