First of all, we need to remember that Soufriere is a small fishing village/town. This hotel is an affordable alternative to the many guest houses and expensive, all-inclusive resorts around the corner. It's a good jump-off point to many Attractions near Soufriere. Charlotte from the hotel Reception was very helpful and nice. And sometimes, that's all you need. She was...

I spent 4 nights at Downtown Hotel checked out one day early. There is no Elevator and the hotel is on the third floor and rooms are on fourth floor. There are no bell man so you have to carry your luggage up by yourself. They advertised on site parking but parking is two blocks away in a dirt field....

Thank you for taking time out to comment on your stay at The Downtown Hotel! It is very displeasing to see that you did not enjoy your stay here. First of all, our property has FREE parking , the only reason you had to resort to the ‘Old Trafford playing field’ was because it was filled. A refrigerator is placed...

I recommend the Downtown Hotel in Soufriere. It's a great value for money and it is in a perfect location to explore the best places in the south of St Lucia. Sugar beach is 10mins by boat as well as Anse Chastenet. You can explore many other great places from here: plantations, Pitons, hot springs etc.

I chose this hotel because of its location and price. I stayed here for 3 days and chose the Piton view. The room was more than spacious with two double beds, a large fridge and microwave, and a large stone bath tub. The front staff were quite friendly and informative. The only downside was that the hotel is on the...

I choose this hotel because of its central location in Soufriere town and stayed for 3 nights. I booked in first to a room with a sea/piton view but was glad to spend the other 2 nights in a room overlooking the town - I found this side more breezy and cool from the afternoon sun. Spectacular views over the...

The hotel is as well situated, and i had the excellent view mentioned before me. I stayed 8 days and would return to this hotel. The lady at the front desk was friendyl, but it took them 3 days to (attempt to) unclog the drain of the bathroom from many many hairs of previous guests. It was rather bad (i...

My wife and I stayed here in January and we had a most enjoyable week. We had a room with sea / piton view and I would strongly recommend this. You can watch the activity over the harbour and enjoy sunshine and sunset at the latter part of the day. The room was basic with tea, coffee and a fridge...

Staff members are all very helpful and friendly. In particular the lovely young lady Jonita is so helpful and she was always making sure that we were happy and well-looked after. The hotel location is great. Soufriere is the best place where to stay while in St Lucia. Other reviews are talking about beggers around the streets near the hotel....

Before we begin, let us tell you about us. We are a young Canadian couple who often camp out in the woods with bare minimum, so we are far from particular. All we expect from a hotel room is cleanliness. And for 96 $ US, in the off season, we were sorely disappointed. The first room we were given, had...
