Divi is intact with about 300 guests still there; the island sustained about 90% damage. SXM is awaiting the Military to come help and guests may not be able to leave for a week, but re-building will begin quickly. Obviously September is out. Based on the effects of the last terrible hurricane, by November, you will still see damage that will likely last for months to years, but much of the clean up will have occurred. If I had reservations, I would still go in November if possible. The beach will still be there, the people will still be there, and St. Maarten needs guests to keep coming to sustain them. Divi did not have as much damage as many other places. I hope you enjoy your trip.

"Almost all rooms/condos have water views. The units close to Fort Amsterdam seem to be newer."
