Good place to stay, on the beach, clean and tidy... really enjoyed my stay there... recommended for any type of stay... good location on main street with shops and restaurnts around.. good beach bar on site with good food and drinks.. easy access to everything around
Had lunch here with a group of friends. Perfect spot overlooking the beach. Excellent appetizers and entrees. Some items on the menu were not available, but there was a good variety of things to choose from. I had the burger which was cooked perfectly and was super tasty. Fries were crispy and delicious. Everyone at the table was pleased with their selections. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great hospitality. Looking forward to a return visit!
Wife and I spent two weeks here. The hotel itself is immaculate with many wonderful touches - etched glass in the showers wonderful balconies fantastic embroidered cushioned beach loungers. But the staff is above and beyond. Every single person from the Sheriff out front to the dining staff to the towel and beach staff were so friendly, helpful and just pleasant to be with. The food was wonderful. Get the included breakfast which has way more than anyone could eat along with a great variety of choices. We ate dinner and lunch several times but mostly walked to lunch - find Juggies and then eat at Krave next door for lunch. I rented a car and hotel had secure parking across the street for $15/day. Definitely will be back! Stayed Jan 8 to 22, 2023.
Had a couple of nights here ahead of joining our Star Flyer cruise ship and overall, were relatively pleased. The room offered everything we needed with a decent view across to the sea while the meals, be it breakfast or an evening meal, were fine. Overall the staff were fine though in and around the bar area, it was obvious that ‘favourites’ took precedent over ‘other guests’. Not a great issue but a little frustrating! The beach was just across the promenade road on which the traffic was minimal with beach chairs being available at no charge. So, basically, a pleasant stay.
Stayed 3 nights here in November 2022. The hotel was great - nice room, lobby, helpful staff, great bar & restaurant. Daily breakfast was a highlight and well worth the cost. Parking is a bit difficult.
Holland House is in the middle of the beachfront walk leading to where the cruise ships and excursion tours dock. It’s located between two small duty free shops—one that is mostly optical plus perfumes, and the other sells alcohol and tobacco (past St Martin of Tours Church). Although Philipsburg is not as interesting as Maho and Mullet Bay on Sundays (when shops in Philipsburg close), young families can appreciate the sandy playground by the boardwalk. The inviting hotel’s $25 Beach Deal offers wifi, toilets and a shower. It’s perfect for cruise passengers. (Otherwise, public washrooms are a few blocks behind Constance Williams’ “Aunt Lise” yellow building, halfway to RBC bank and the Chinese building with trinkets and gifts.) There’s a selection of restaurants or bars and Milano Gelateria within close walking distance, but expect things to get busy until cruise ships depart!…
Stayed here following a cruise – the location of this hotel couldn’t be better, right in the centre of the town between Front Street and the boardwalk so everywhere was walkable.. We had booked a junior suite, which was very spacious, with a large comfortable Superking size bed, plenty of hanging and drawer space and a stylish bathroom. Large balcony overlooking the beach. We didn’t eat an evening meal here but breakfast was very good. It was waiter service ( not a buffet), it was delivered promptly and portions were generous. I’d definitely stay here on my next visit to Sint Maarten.
We had the pleasure of dining& drinking here..loved it so much, we went back the next day! The food, the scenery, the drinks were spectacular, but the real stars are the staff. Lucia and Jonathon served us in the restaurant and they truly made the experience so wonderful-again, we had to come back and see our new friends the next day. Then we followed up both days by going to the outside bar and having a blast with Kelly & Pepe, aka Batman & Robin. I hope management knows how fabulous their staff is, they make the experience of Saint Martin so memorable. No question, our next stay will be here!
This was our second time coming to Holland House to use their beach chairs and umbrella for a day to relax and enjoy some beach time. This was a much better option than doing an excursion with the ship. We did not have a committed time as when dealing with the ship. Came and went as we pleased. It is close enough to walk from the port, and enjoy the town too. Kelly helped us get our chairs, umbrella, and drinks. He was such a great guy to deal with. He even remembered us from our last trip which was 11 months ago.
Spent the day here as we always do when visit St Maarten. Excellent food and drink, got sunbeds and umbrella. Love the food to sunbed great quality! Had access to clean toilets and showers as well as the children using the hotels Kayak and paddle board. The 2 lads working the beach were lovely worked very hard and service was good a bit slow at times just due to the number of ppl could have perhaps done with a spare pair of hands. Great location to spend the day. Thank you! Thank you
