We needed accommodation for two nights, and because of Heineken Regatta, our choices were few. However, there was a room at Travel Inn, and the price was reasonable. We were informed that it had no view, and so we naively thought we’d be staring at a dumpster. That would have been a bonus; the room had no windows at all, not even an opaque rectangle close to the ceiling. Deep breath, we said, it’s only two nights. There was one other room available, a carbon copy, next floor up. We managed, but it reminded us of the importance of light; we woke at 7:45, with no clue as to time of morning. Lighting was poor, and LED lights would certainly make a difference. On the “bright side” the room was clean, bed comfortable, and my disinfectant wipes were used only on light switches and the remote controls. Staff was friendly, and our room, being internal, very quiet. Lesson learned; if going at a busy time, plan ahead wisely.

Best part the staff mind their business. Old school rooms some of them TV and shower wise but apart from that it's a really nice place to stay. Airco, nice area right where there are many restaurants and bars to njoy. Price worth it. Staff friendly.

Our return flight to New York was canceled and the new flight we booked was the following day, so we had to spend the night. We booked this hotel because it's near the airport. It looks okay from the front and yes, the rooms have been renovated, but they were pretty basic. There is no lobby; there's a couch facing the "reception" desk, but it is used mostly by the desk attendant. The hallway on our floor had a couch that doubled as the chambermaids' storage for linens. The free wifi was rarely working in our room. We had to go near the front desk to get a signal. The bathroom door only closed if you slammed it shut. There's no swimming pool or fitness room. The hotel has no breakfast room. The Lebanese restaurant attached to the hotel serves a limited breakfast at 10am. There are some restaurants and shops nearby but walking to most of them involves walking on the side of the road with no sidewalks. We regretted not staying at a nicer hotel further away from the airport.

The airline put us in this hotel due to a missed connection and it was a bad experience for me. The entire hotel smelled like cigarettes, and my room wasn't clean, there was an old french fry on the floor next to the bed and the alarm clock was also on the floor. My room also smelled like cigarettes which I was very annoyed at because my daughter is asthmatic and I do not smoke. Furthermore, the wifi kept dropping and my telephone didn't work. Would not recommend this place.

This is fine for an overnight stay or a quick visit. The location is great, very convenient to the airport town and all nightlife. Simpson Bay is still under renovation after last years storms so a lot of places were still not open.

Was put up at the travel inn due to a missed connection and for a quick overnight stay it was alright The room which looked over the rear car park towards the sea was a bit tired but was clean and had good free Wi-fi as well as fridge safe and kettle. The bathroom was the worse room and could do with a full refurbished but you have to take into account that the Island is still coming to terms with last years hurricanes and this is evident with the materials which are stacked up ready to start refurbishing Staff friendliness and helpfulness varied

Always a nice start to out St Martin stay. This year due to our resort being damaged by the hurricane we decided to stay all week. It was clean and the staff was friendly not a lot of amenities but that was okay because we go for the sun and the beach not to stay in the room. Glad they recovered quickly from the hurricane. See you all next year.

Had to make a 3 day trip to SXM to help a client. They were open. Rooms are very basic and clean. They have there own parking lot which is a plus and generator. This is not fancy nor vacation. Just a place to sleep. Roof had a slow drip from a crack during the hurricane. I put down a towel every day to protect the floor and the housekeeper removed. They allow smoking in the room which is rare. Not my thing. But brings back memories as to when this was standard. Friendly staff

They always seem to have a room and are accomidating. Sometimes not clean, but in a pinch OK! The club noise was really a problem at night but after lRMA that wont be a problem as before. Hopefully the owners will step up and manage to keep it cleaner and Offer better deals for their resturant /hotel customers.
