Let's face it: this is not the place you would want to spend a week's holiday or so. I spend a few nights here during a brief visit and stopover, and it does the job. Rooms are big and clean and have everything you need, including the much needed aircon. It does the job and its central to a few...

The great thing about this hotel is it's proximity to the airport, restaurants and the local bus to downtown Phillipsburg for duty-free shopping. Otherwise, I can't say much more. The room was average at best and everything leaked in the bathroom. Honestly, it was fine considering these were last minute plans, however, I would not want to spend my vacation...

We stayed at this hotel on Jan 31, 2013. The room we had was in very rough shape. The bed frame on one of the beds was broken. When I sat on the bed it collapsed. The sheets on the other bed had a stain on it that looked like blood. The shower was probably (maybe) clean but the floor...

We visited the Island of St Maarten over the week of Jan 6th 2013. We were looking for a last night in Phillipsburg on Saturday to be near the airport for our flight back the next morning. I was traveing with my elderly father and uncle and their partners. They booked our resevations in complete knowledge, and without informing us,...

We didn't get a wink of sleep. This is the most atrocious hotel ever. Complaining at 3 am asking them to sort out the music pumping through our closed windows from next door to no avail. Tried to speak to the manager three times the next day but he decided to hide from us. Paying over $100 to not get...

This rather spartan hotel served its purpose for a one night stay during an unexpected overnight flight layover. This property is located quite close to the SXM airport, and is simply old and a bit shabby. It was however a decent place considering the low nightly rate. The pros: * the room as larger than most, and featured a king...

The rooms and hallways smell of urine and anteseptic. The mattress side was moldy. The curtins did not have hooks all the way across the rod. The shower dripped all night long. There was a flat screen TV, but I did not turn it on (didn't go to St. Maarten to watch TV). There was also a small microwave and...

If all you want is cheap, then this hotel is not too bad. We stayed 1 night. Location is good but that's the only good thing. We moved our room because the toilet leaked on the floor only to have the toilet leak in the room we moved to. The curtains were falling off the rod on the window in...

A group of 13 of us were traveling to the island of Saba but got waylaid for 3 nights in St. Maarten due to what later became hurricane Raphael. We ended up at the Travel Inn Hotel. Half the group went more upscale after the first night; the rest of us stayed put. The staff was friendly except for one woman--we...
