My wife and I headed here for a quick five day "forget the kids" break. This is by far the smallest hotel we ever stayed at, so we were not sure what to expect. We quickly adapted and loved it! No pool? Who cares, the ocean is literally at your feet. We had a second floor (we liked the view better than the first floor) apartment with the second bedroom. Really did not need the extra room as we slept on the pull out couch (very comfy !) as it was near the sliding widow and amazing view. There was one other couple in the hotel so we made friends with them and the entire place was ours. There are a dozen restaurants within easy walking distance, and we even cooked two nights in our kitchen. We rented a car for a day ($35! Get the smallest they offer, parking can be a pain!) and explored the more busy Dutch sector (great supermarket as soon as you cross from French to Dutch section). We headed wooden to P'burg and the south, enjoyed the airport beach and some shopping ( was incredibly empty as there were no active cruise ships) but were happy to return to the quiet and much more European feeling French side of the island. We also took the hotels kayak and went for a half day trip around the side of the island and the next day learned to paddle board with their two paddle boards. There is really nothing better than just staying on the beach, reading, swimming, and relaxing. This is the perfect place for it. If you need to arrange anything just talk to the always ready to help Kelly, who felt more like a friend than a hotel employee. She was great! Just a note: we went the last week of August and everything was shutting down. You might get a great bargain to travel there now, but be aware of storms and the fact a lot is closed until October - November.

I just spent 10 days at this fabulous hotel. I had a ground floor 1 bedroom which was great because all you had to do was walk right out your balcony door and you’re on the beach, very convenient to go in and out all day. Plus the ground floor has extra space balcony with large tables and chairs to have cocktails with friends or dinner and lunch. The breakfast was continental with fresh assortment of croissants and delicious coffee. The hosts Kelly and Frederic were superb. Location on a beautiful beach was outstanding, I would definitely stay here again.

We planned a last minute visit to St Marteen for my husband's bday and received this place through a recommendation. It did not disappoint! Kelly reached out prior to our arrival to see what time we were arriving to ensure she was there. Due to COVID, the check in desk is not manned 24/7. The hotel is fairly small, 9 rooms I believe but each one is very spacious and essentially a studio apt. The view from each room is AMAZING! The beach is literally in the backyard of this hotel and the water is beautiful. There are quite a few really good restaurants and shops within walking distance but the free parking is very helpful as you definitely need a car to get around the island. The only issue we had was finding clean beach towels each day. They gave us 2 in the morning but we weren't able to find more after our morning swim. We ended up buying some and using them as backups but otherwise this was a perfect stay :)

We planned a last minute trip to St. Martin and Bleu Emeraude -- shockingly -- had an availability last minute. The two of us booked the one bedroom apartment, which was incredibly spacious, fresh, and clean. The minimalist aesthetic was soothing and calm and honestly great because the amount of sand you'll track in from your days at the beach isn't as much of a hassle with completely tiled floors and daily maid service. The bathroom was outrageous huge with an enormous shower, again, great for hosing off right after coming in from the beach. When booking Bleu Emeraude, I was a little bit concerned about not having a pool, but in our experience you *definitely* don't miss a pool because you can just run down to the beach at any time. All the beaches we visited in St. Martin on the French side were uncrowded, but at Bleu Emeraude, you truly feel like you have the luxury of a private beach but the walk-ability of the public beaches. Bleu Emeraude is absolutely ON the beach. Every single apartment has a private, shaded balcony that looks out onto the beach and you walk right out from the reception hallway to be greeted by the sea. From Bleu Emeraude we were able to walk to dinner every night at restaurants on Grand Case beach-- we decided to go the street route which is about a 20 minute walk and sometimes dicey with the extremely narrow or non-existent sidewalks, but it was so great to not have to worry about where to park or valeting. The parking at Bleu Emeraude was also superb with an underground deck for extra security, should you wish, but we parked outside without any hassle. The area surrounding Bleu Emeraude hotel, like much of St. Martin in general, is still recovering from hurricane Irma. There are many ruins around the hotel and on the beachfront, but the food and people of Grand Case still make it an excellent location. Breakfast every morning was great! Lovely pastries and some fruit in the morning and fancy European coffee any time of the day. Kelly and Frederic, who were working the front desk when we were there, were so wonderful. Kelly got us checked in immediately upon our arrival, gave us restaurant recommendations, and helped us get oriented in Grand Case. Frederic likewise was so helpful when I asked about how to get to Anguilla and what to do while we were there. They were also always ready to help pull out beach loungers and get you set up in style and comfort on the beachfront. (We didn't end up going because of the weather, but had a great day in St. Martin instead!) The clientele here was also absolutely our speed. Everyone was very low-key and friendly, definitely not the partying scene of the Philipsburg crowd. One review I read said that it could be noisy here, and I think that probably meant the street traffic, which we didn't find bothersome at all. (We live in a city, though.) The rooms were very comfortable and we got a great night's sleep each night. The walls are cement so you really cannot hear the other people in the hotel at all, unless you're standing at the door. Overall, this is an EXCELLENT choice in hotel for those who are looking either to stay and relax on the beach just in Grand Case AND for those who want to use Grand Case as a relaxing home base to explore the rest of the island. I so looked forward to coming back to the Bleu Emeraude every night. I'm glad that we got lucky and there was an opening!

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in mid-December 2019. It is directly in a nice long beach in Grande Case. The room was excellent, beach front and veey clean. The dront desk is only open parts of the day, but it works well. For check in, it was nice they let us in the room a bit early, otherwise we might have had to sit and wait from 12noon to 3pm when they return ro check in. We appreciated that. Wifi works well, there are multiple signals in the room and beach so you have to sign in for different locations. They have SUPs there you can use and a kayak. Short walk to a cafe in town or some small grocers and restaurants. The breakfast at the hotel is very basic vs. what one pays per night, a basket of a few breads and some apples. Grande Case is still in rather rough shape, still from the hurricane. Hard to believe that beachfront buildings would be ledt unrepaired and in derelict condition for so long as one would think that would be profitable. At least there are some restaurants and shops further at the opposite end of the beach. There was rioting on the french half of thenisland while we were there. We could get there by taxi but on our check out day we got rushed out of the room to meet a water taxi that took cash only -$70usd per person -to take us to the airport. That was a bit of a letdown to the trip. However we got to the airport SXM no problem and it was a nice, crowded ride on the boat. The boat operators made a small fortune off tourists these days.
