Grand Case Beach Club is celebrated for its attentive service, including an efficient beach setup and thoughtful welcome gifts that leave a lasting impression on guests. Many travelers find value in the hotel's food and transport services, even though a few consider room rates somewhat elevated given the amenities. The hotel boasts convenient beach access with chair service, free water sports, and on-site dining, despite some ongoing renovations. Its prime location is close to fine dining and private beaches, enhancing the picturesque waterfront experience.
Guests enjoy the welcoming atmosphere and tastefully decorated rooms with modern amenities, though occasional nearby music can be disruptive. The cleanliness of the hotel generally earns high marks, but some guests point out the presence of seaweed on the beach and instances of brown water. Room comforts are widely appreciated, with their clean, spacious layouts and oceanfront views, but there are occasional remarks about the timing of cleaning services.

The Grand Case Beach Club is a unique and special experience. You have two beautiful beaches (small) with amazing views, only a 10 minute walk from restaurant row with some of the most amazing food you will ever eat, all at a reasonable price. We had room 709, which was beachfront, one bedroom, two story, two balconies and two bathrooms. Our room was clean and well maintained with daily housekeeping. The lawn chairs in front of our unit hardly went used so it was very quiet and had lovely landscaping. No one fought for hotel beach chairs - it all seemed to work out as people came and went. The Sunset Cafe is literally right next to the beach so easy access to breakfast/lunch/dinner with views of Anguilla. We rented a car and had no issues finding parking. The property is secured - a bit intimidating to approach at first, but then you get used to the gated access. Rooftop pool is usually quiet and offers amazing views. Only 10 minutes away is a strip mall with groceries, bakery/cafe, etc. The only notes I would have: 1. If you like to get out and walk before starting your day, the streets are narrow with a lot of traffic/puddles and the beachfront is too short for a good beach walk. 2. Needing to use your key to leave the pool area is a bit nerve wrecking, especially if your spouse brought the key and you didn't, leaving you stranded there. I can understand key access in the pool but not to leave. Seems a safety issue. Other than that - highly recommend GCBC!!!!

Thank you for your great review, and we understand your cautions…the streets are narrow and can be congested…running takes a good sense of awareness, I found that it was wise to swim in the usually calm water…easier and safer…for exercise. And the pool locking, is to discourage those you are not supposed to be using it. We are looking at other systems as we improve that area.

I had a wonderful stay at the GCBC recently. Everyone was kind and French! I love the language and culture. Everyone spoke great English as well.
I stayed in room deux cent cinq which is an ocean view studio walkout overlooking the Grand Case beach side. Beach is literally outside the slider and down a few stairs. I requested the walkout upon making my reservation. I loved the shower with rainfall head and tremendous water pressure and the pebble flooring in there felt great on the feet.
The A/C was awesome. The hotel type unit keep as nice and cool even with temperatures in the 90’s and a dew point of 79 degrees Fahrenheit.
I ate (and drank) at the privately owned Sunset Cafe, which was very convenient and delicious. Impressive dining room overlooking the ocean!
There are so many beach chairs and loungers spread throughout the Club. I never had to worry about finding one on either beach.
I took a snorkeling excursion from the water sports desk to Creole Rock for 75$. It was, well, unimpressive. The visibility could have been better and although there were several of the common Caribbean fish there, we didn’t see anything out of the ordinary.
I rented a car by the airport and used Google Maps to navigate the island without difficulty. There was plenty of free parking behind the gated Club. There was a security guard on-site 24/7. Also, down Rue de la Petit Plage, the road into town, there was always a security guard, sometimes two, around Rte de L’Esperance, by the Tijon store. I felt completely safe walking that stretch of road at all hours and I walked it every night, solo.
A bientot 🏖️

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Grand Case Beach Club. The room was very comfortable and being right on the beach was so nice! I also very much appreciated having the washing machine so that we did not have to pack so many clothes. The highlight of our stay was the incredible employee, Ruth. She is stellar. She is absolutely fabulous. She remembered our names from the first time that we met her and went out of her way to make sure that our stay was top notch. One day I happened to mention that it was my husband's birthday and she surprised him by giving him a lovely gift. Whatever I asked Ruth for, she always jumped on it right away and made sure that we were taken care of. The most incredible thing that she did, though, was she actually called our hotel room the day that we were checking out to say good-bye. She knew we were leaving that day but as she was at home due to illness was not going to be able to say good-bye in person so she called us. Wow. We were both so incredibly impressed by her gesture. I used to own my own businesses and would have been so thrilled to have someone like Ruth in my employ!!!!!!

My family and I arrived at the Grand Case Beach Club ready to love it - a location we booked specifically for the private beaches. Within only a few hours, however, I almost booked us into another hotel, and here’s why.
The day before we arrived, the island had experienced severe winds, so a TON of seaweed had covered the hotel’s private beach. Of course, I completely understand the hotel has no control over the wind and the amount of seaweed the ocean dumps on the beach but what we found ourselves disappointed with for our entire stay was how the hotel handled the situation.
For example, when we checked in, the front desk provided us with a short letter explaining they had recently experienced a “little problem” with seaweed on the beach. A “little problem” was an understatement, to say the least. Immediately after we checked in, we walked over to the water to find a pile of seaweed almost a foot high that spanned the entire length of the beach, not to mention how it filled the water. Taking a closer look at the letter they provided, the hotel’s position was that sweeping the seaweed back into the water (rather than sweeping it aside or anywhere else, for that matter) was the most ecologically-friendly solution to the issue and that it would clear up within a few days.
That was March 30th. We checked out on April 4th and there was still a LOT of seaweed on the beach. Why? Because sweeping it into the ocean only seems to wash it back onto the beach overnight. Rather than sweeping it toward either side of the beach, their best solution was to put it right back in the water because, apparently, that's what is best for the seaweed rather than the hotel’s guests.
So, our solution to the “little problem” was to drive to other beaches every day that were either seaweed-free or where other hotels cleaned the beaches by sweeping the seaweed to the side of the beach. As a result, we spent (read: wasted) a fair amount of money renting chairs at different beaches around the island.
Also, for $400+ per night, one would not expect to find brown water coming out of the showerhead. This happened every time I turned on the water. Sure, it only lasted about a minute, but really?
As for the rest of Grand Case about a 10 minute walk from the hotel, it leaves a lot to be desired. There’s a reason you can’t access the Grand Case Beach Club without passing through heavy metal gates and there’s also a reason there’s a security guard posted on the street every night.
This was our second visit to St. Martin and, likely, the last.

Thank you for sharing your recent experience with us. We regret to hear about the challenges you encountered during your stay, particularly with the seaweed accumulation on our beaches. We are fortunate that such episodes are rare compared to other areas of the island. We understand your concerns and would like to clarify our approach to managing seaweed. Our policy involves clearing the beach of seaweed initially, and when the tide permits, we return the seaweed to the water. This technique has proven effective in maintaining the ecological balance of our beachfront. It's important to note that our beach lacks access for large machinery, and preserving the existing sand is crucial for the ecosystem's health. We appreciate your understanding and want to highlight that our resort is fortunate to be located on two beaches: Petite Plage and Grand Case Beach. Petite Plage was operational when Grand Case Beach was not, providing you with a practicable beach experience. We acknowledge your feedback about the water quality issue in the shower. Rest assured, we are investigating this matter to ensure it is promptly resolved. Guest satisfaction is our top priority, and we regret any discomfort caused during your stay. We really appreciate your feedback and sincerely hope that you will give us another opportunity to meet your expectations in the future.

There was a mugging and a man walking back to the resort on 1/5/25 was shot you can Google to see details. My issue is when I checked in Monday 1/6 the resort never mention the incident. Why would the resort just say we recommend taking the free shuttle instead of the 8 min walk to the down town area. I have 3 kids with me and really upset the resort did not say anything Instead them and others on the island just want to ignore the safety issues on the island. Each night there were issues in grand case from locals shorting each other to mopeds getting hit, no place is ever safe but would have expected the resort to provide some direction from a safety stand point. As for the resort The new bar and restaurant are nice the servers are very nice. The beach is really nice. Did not have to fight over chairs each day. The pool is new but really small we only used it once. The new bathroom construction was very pour quality see attached tile pictures. Pretty bad with being brand new.

Thank you for sharing your concerns and feedback of your recent experience with us. Please know that, whether it be the hotel or the local authorities, we all take this situation extremely seriously and did everything in our power to take immediate action. Following the incident, we needed to take the time to gather the information from the reliable sources since this was not our guest and “island news” quickly gets out of hand through social media and word of mouth. We immediately met with the local authorities, which promised increased police presence the following night and we also took the initiative of increasing our own security. The situation was quickly under control, the two suspects were apprehended and drastic security measures were taken. The street of Grand Case has become fully pedestrian and strong police presence is ensured every night. However, we do understand your concerns and appreciate your feedback, which will also make us rethink our communication strategies in the future. Despite these unfortunate circumstances, we are glad that you were still able to enjoy your stay with us.

As I sit waiting for our taxi to take us away from this spectacular island and hotel, I thought I would leave those thinking of coming here with these thoughts and tips:
We are a couple in our mid 50s who got tired of the all inclusive experience with mediocre food and drink and over served guests. After seeing this hotel offered by our Canadian carrier and reading all of the wonderful things on this site we went ahead and booked. We brought a separate piece of luggage for coffee, coffee filters, mustard, mayo and snacks. I also ordered the following items from ShopnDrop which is a local grocery delivery service on the island. Although they do charge an extra fee for items, it was well worth it. We ordered alcohol, Diet Pepsi, waters, creamer, lunch meat, cheese, bread and ice. All were delivered and stocked in our room upon arrival. Please see photo below which indicates all items that are included in your room.
We enjoyed making our own coffee and enjoying it on our own balcony looking at the beautiful Caribbean Ocean. We spent the entire day on our own beach, which was not crowded at all. No running around at 6:00 am looking for chairs here.
We would head up to our room for lunch or refresh our drinks at our leisure then head to our room around 5:30 to shower and get ready for dinner. Please head down the road for dinner every evening! Road is safe to walk in the dark and security is walking up and down all evening. We ate at the Lolos, L’Auberge Gourmand, Ocean 82, La Villa, and Bistrot Cairabe. All the French restaurants were amazing! I felt like I was in France every time I sat down and the Lolos offer local fare.
Although we are sad to say goodbye, we will absolutely be back! Thank you Grand Case Beach Club and island of St. Martin!

We actually had to stay at this resort after a vacation in St Barth our flights were canceled for days because of a hurricane but it ended up being my favorite part of the 2 week vacation. I loved the staff Niki & Christine and the housekeepers & security guards were so kind & pleasant to chat with. You could stay a week at this resort oceanfront with the best restaurant sunset cafe that has the best sunset view. It’s the best resort on the french side St Martin & has the best culinary experiences. The rooms are oceanfront condos with full kitchens. As a travel agency owner myself I can honestly say I have zero complaints about this resort even with their pool under construction. Thank you Grand Case Beach Club!

We booked here based on Trip Advisor reviews and we were very happy with our stay. As others have said, the property is well maintained and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. It's a 10 minute walk into the town so we had some meals at the on-site restaurant and other nights we walked into town. The resort also runs a shuttle into town each night (for a fee) if you don't want to walk. They also run a shuttle a few days a week to 'Hope Estate' where there is a full size grocery store. We opted to just walk to the little market in town (New World market) to pick up breakfast food and some snacks for the room, and ate our other meals out. The rooms come with fully equipped kitchenettes. The on-site restaurant is very good and the people who work there could not be nicer. The restaurant is not managed by the resort so we set-up a tab with them the first day and then settled up with them the last day. We had lunch there most days since it's right next to the beach. They will also serve you on the beach if you like. The guy who manages the water sports hut is very nice and accommodating. He set up an umbrella for us each day on the beach. If you're staying at the resort umbrellas, floats, beach chairs, mask & snorkel, kayaks, and paddle boards are all complimentary. There are also excursions that can be booked for a fee (eg, scuba diving, snorkeling off site, etc) but we did not do any of these. Beach towels are provided. Housekeeping comes every day. Grand Case is a laid back, quiet town and I'm so glad we stayed here. We spent one morning wandering around Marigot and it felt 'touristy' and crowded with many of the same stores we have at home. We were happy to get back to Grand Case. After visiting Marigot we decided to skip a visit to Philipsburg. We were happy with quiet, little Grand Case, it's wonderful restaurants and small boutiques. We definitely hope to stay here again.

This is our second time to Grand Case Beach Club. We stayed here 1.5 years ago and also this past week. We’ve stayed in the ocean front suite and most recently in the 2 bedroom oceanfront loft. We loved the loft which has 2 balconies and extra space. Waking up to the sounds of the ocean cannot be beat. This hotel is pristine and situated on 2 beaches. We dined at Sunset Cafe for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We recommend the pain au chocolat, breakfast galettes, and mahi burgers. It’s very convenient and ordered takeout several times. It’s easy walking distance to the best restaurant in Grand Case, Le Pressoir. The hotel is quiet, clean, and well appointed. My husband enjoyed their gym and we lounged by the pool. We’ve stayed elsewhere on Grand Case and this is by far the nicest hotel here. All staff are friendly and welcoming. I love that they now have wrist bands to access everything, so you don’t need to carry a room key.
My only wish is that they had either a hot tub or that the pool was heated/warmer. We had some inclement weather during our stay and it got cooler/windy, so it would have been nice to still be able to use the pool if it was slightly warmer. Certainly, this is minor and would not deter us from returning. It’s nice that they have a pool because the other oceanfront hotels on Grand Case do not have a pool at all, so this is a definite bonus with staying here.
They have so many loungers and private spaces on the property that you are able to truly escape and relax. We love this hotel so much and cannot wait to return!!

It's truly wonderful to hear that you returned to Grand Case Beach Club and enjoyed your stay once again. We're delighted to know that our oceanfront loft with its dual balconies and extra space provided a perfect setting for your vacation. Our team always aims to make our guests feel comfortable and welcomed, so it's great to hear that you found our staff friendly. We appreciate your feedback regarding the pool temperature, and we're glad that despite the weather, you were still able to enjoy the many relaxing spaces we have throughout our property. As Encore Members (our guest loyalty program) you were able to benefit from our new key bands, instead of key cards, and we are thrilled that you found these to be more practical. Thank you for your kind words, and we're already looking forward to welcoming you back to our slice of paradise for a third visit.

We had an amazing time at Grand Case during our stay in June. We are a family with one teen and had plenty of activities and local options to enjoy. We rented a one bedroom with a loft. The room was spacious and had a fully equipped kitchen. The balcony was also large enough enjoy a family breakfast every morning. The views were amazing! Grand Case had two beautiful beaches with plenty of soft white sand and warm, calm water (free of sea weed and rocks). There were always plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas as well as free use of snorkel equipment, paddle boards, rafts, and kayaks. The activity desk had a daily snorkel excursion to Creole Rock that was more than worth the cost. A staff member joined us in the water and highlighted many tropical fish as well as sharing insight about the local reef environment. It was one of the best snorkel tours I have had. The staff was friendly. Our room was cleaned spotlessly every day. The on-site restaurant and bar were good. We were also able to walk a short distance to town which held a variety of cuisine options and local shopping. We rented a car and did not have any difficulty with parking. The car rental allowed us to easily access tourist spots throughout the island. We would highly recommend the Grand Case Beach Club.

Barely heard a thing, and we were there during cement pumping. We could see the boom from the truck otherwise you wouldn’t have even know construction was going on. I wouldn’t sweat the work going on unless having a pool at a beach front property is a breaking point for you. Safe travels.
