Rooms are right on the sea..walk out to the water or just hang out. Book a room facing the sea with an enclosed terrace for the best experience. Hotel is close to all the best restaurants ! Make sure to get a breakfast crepe next door at Eli's! Johanna, at the front desk, is the best…solved so many issues for us……immediately. Take note though that the town has suffered damage from the hurricanes that has not been repaired but don't let that get you down.
Located right on the beach in the heart of Grand Case this hotel is a real gem and very reasonably priced. I was traveling with a friend and we booked one of their duplex suites which was much more spacious that we anticipated - we both had king size beds (one downstair and one in the upstairs loft) and our own bathrooms. The downstairs bedroom is very roomy with two comfy chairs for lounging and a half-size fridge stocked with complimentary juices and bottled water, Nespresso machine and tea kettle with supplies. There's also a lovely covered, fully furnished deck overlooking the street and the hills beyond (they have a second, more expensive duplex that overlooks the beach/ocean.) The beds were very comfy and the a/c's worked well (the loft has a separate one.) I was worried it would be noisy given we were right on the road and it was the weekend, but other than a few car horns it really wasn't bad. What is especially great about this location is you have the beach and a number of excellent French restaurants right at your doorstep (the hotel provides beach towels too.) There's restaurant/beach club/hotel "Le Temps des Cerises" less than 100 yards away that serves has a delicious, very reasonably priced breakfast overlooking the ocean (they also serve lunch and dinner and for a small fee you can get comfy beach chairs where the staff will bring you drinks and food (and some lovely Jamaican ladies will pass by to offer foot massages.) Our only gripe about staying in Grand Case was the difficulty in finding a parking spot, especially at busy times of the day like weekend afternoons. (The one-way road means you have to drive the circuit a number of times.) We later found out that many of the hotels and restaurants offer valet parking, so next time we'll take advantage of that. We loved our stay so much that we extended by a day and look forward to returning soon.…
WOW! Loved this hotel, the owner, the cute room &balcony and especially the location. Our second floor room looked out on the beach and water; it was a great spot for coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening. The espresso and little sweets left in the room by cleaning staff were very good. I joined my daughters after they had spent ten days there. They were able to point out all the great dining spots, grocery, pharmacy and more. 2 minute walk to the finest restaurant on the island and across the street to the best burger on the island; as well as good local mid price restaurants.
The location is excellent. Great restaurants within walking distance. Beach is nice and almost a mile walk from end to end for morning walks. The staff is very nice. The beds comfortable. The AC works for those that like a cold room or turn it off. The construction is newer given a rebuild from the original a couple lots next door. The old building is still standing. We had an upper ocean view with loft. This arrangement with two beds and two baths was great for our family of four. There was bigger than small fridge. Here’s the downside and why it gets 2 stars. There is a terrible sewage smell in room 16 where we stayed. The smell seems to be coming out of all pipes including shower drain, toilet and sink. When you enter the room you gag from the blast of sewage. You get reminders from time to time while in the room. Your clothes start to smell like it. For this single reason, I would advise not staying here. And then there are no beach chairs. Towels on a steep beach is no fun. And also water pressure is terrible. Not functioning for those with thick hair or sand and sunscreen mixed. Impossible to rinse off. There is potential here, but a couple major show stoppers.…
I booked this hotel through Orbitz. A day after the booking, the hotel manager contacted me through Whatsapp and said that he will not honor the booking. He proceeded to tell me that he can only honor the reservation if I agreed to pay DOUBLE the rate that I had booked. He went on to say that if I showed up without cancelling and re-booking at DOUBLE the rate, I would "sleep in the street". Stay away from this hotel unless you like getting ripped off and price gouged.
we had the best vacation in years . 7 days in paradise. We all love it and are all talking about when we can go back there. The room was beautiful, we had a room on the street with a nice little balcony. The bed was so comfortable i had the best sleeps in a long time. The staff was very friendly. Room was clean every day despite kids bringing tons of sand from the beach. The location is amazing: Right on the beach. It is nearby very nice and inexpensive restaurants on the same beach.
We stayed for 5 nights. Amazing location. I still dream of falling asleep to the crashing waves. Rooms are well-appointed with great beds, espresso makers, rain showers. Oceanfront rooms have balcony access and private beachside sitting areas. The staff are very helpful. Merch is fun - buy the towels! Two minutes from awesome beach bars but the sound doesn't travel. Don't miss the "lobby bar", aka the spot across the street with cold beer and great soup. We'll be back!!!
We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights. Had a lovely room (village view). The terrace was nice to relax in the morning on before dinner. Rooms are all a nice size. Very clean and well looked after. The wifi was good. Location was great. Will be going back for sure. Thank you to Glanny for looking after us.
We had 8 nights on St. Martin and decided to spend 5 nights on St. Martin and 3 on St. Maarten. We did extensive research looking at VRBO, AirBnB, and various other websites. We found some beautiful properties, but for some reason, we kept coming back to the Love Boutique Hotel. We started corresponding with them and booked our 5 nights. So glad we did. Glanny, the front desk person, was absolutely wonderful. A delightful and all around great person. We spoke with her a lot about Hurricane Irma (2017) and the impacts that exist today. It was eye opening. The hotel was completely rebuilt and only reopened in Feb 2021 (if I'm remembering correctly). There is no longer a restaurant/bar. Only rooms. But the rooms have been decorated with care and attention and the beach is right outside your door. You can tell this is a labor of Love (pardon the pun) for the owners. The beach right out your door is amazing and the food in the area is fantastic. We never had a bad meal. The wifi in the hotel was fast and reliable. On our last day, we met Muriel, the owner and she spoke about what it was like trying to rebuild and how long it took. I applaud her for sticking to it and not giving up. We have traveled all over the world and this is one of our favorite hotels ever! When we come back, we will definitely stay at the Love Boutique Hotel.…
while staying in st martin we were lucky enough to stay at the love residence staff are friendly has a lovely bar with a great sea view wifi is a bit iffy but it is similar all over the island recommend future travelers to stay at the hotel
