Detailed Reviews
Featuring one and two bedroom suites , this "Gordian House" is conveniently located high above on the hill with spectacular panoramic views. Rooms are clean and large. It's relatively close to all North Sound Ferries. I really advise to rent a car while staying in Virgin Gorda, there are lots to explore around. The Baths, Devil's Bay, Spring Bay and Coppermine are the must to visit., spare at least a day for these activities. If travelling without car, local people are friendly, and get a ride is not a problem.
Couldn't wait to come back in November...and explore little islets around...

This was the first time my husband and I visited this Island. The entire booking process was pleasant. Lauralee the owner contacted my husband several times as the date of arrival approached. She offered to buy our groceries, and asked if we wanted anything in particular in our room prior to arrival. We were greeted at the airport and taken to the guest house as per Lauralee's instructions. The ride to the guest house offered a wonderful view and glimpse of the Island. Once we arrived we were "awed" by the cleanliness of the property. We were greeted by Lauralee, she gave us a little tour of the room and asked several times if we needed anything else.
We stayed up stairs and the view overlooking the ocean was spectacular. We really enjoyed the balcony and all the windows overlooking the ocean and surrounding areas. She assured us the area was safe so we slept with our windows open and enjoyed the fresh air daily rather than use the a/c. The room was so comfortable and clean we felt like we were at home. It was a full house with all its amenities and comfort of home. The décor in the rooms was so beautiful that we are making arrangement with her to help us purchase some for our home. During our stay she text my husband several times to see if we needed anything although she give us so many information and ideas as to what to do while we were there.
She stayed in contact to make sure our stay was pleasant but at the same time she kept a distance to ensure our privacy. Room service was available as needed and of course they did a wonderful job in respecting our privacy/stay.
Next time we return to this Island we'll make sure we stay at this place again. Would you believe that the night prior to us leaving Lauraless came personally to wish us a safe return and even brought us a freshly baked pie. It was like staying with family where else can we have that kind of treatment?
The Island itself is beautiful with so many things to see and do. The place called the baths and the cave was the highlight of our stay on the Islands. The local food was also good, and the people was unbelievably friendly and helpful. I must say I envy them for living on such a beautiful Islands. Thank you Lauralee.

My wife and I decided to combine our anniversary and family vacation into one. We also decided to make it a stay-cation. We were completely impressed with every service we received. Lauralee took care of every thing including the arranging of a romantic dinner for our anniversary. The premises was well kept likewise the rooms. As for WiFi, this is the first time I have ever traveled and not have to be searching for the perfect spot in any of the rooms to get signal. The view was breathtaking. We will most likely spend time there again...but without the kids...lol.

It was really noisy. Kids singing at 5 am at the top of their lungs. The rooms had a weird smell. There was no coffee, only a coffee pot. We all had small bug bites all over us. Nice view. But, otherwise, I would recommend staying some place else.

Do NOT stay at this hotel, however good of a deal it may seem for Virgin Gorda. 1) Wifi did not work for our entire stay there (1 day + 1 night) and the manager was unapologetic about it 2) I spent about two hours at night trying to kill tiny fly-looking bugs / pick up dead ones on the bed sheets and pillows before deciding to finally sleep on the couch 3) power went out for a full morning 4) the location is horrible - the manager herself told us "there is nothing within walking distance". You have to taxi or take a ferry to do anything.

The location of Gordian Terrace is a bit out of the way, though you need to car to get anywhere on the island, so this isn't a deal breaker. The main problem with the Gordian Terrace was the cleanliness of the room. We found hair on our pillows and our towels did not feel clean. The bed is also quite uncomfortable. On the plus side, the apts are very spacious and there is a nice view. Lauralee is exceptionally helpful and friendly, she's the main reason to stay here.

The apartment was nice, clean and comfortable. The view was great but the 3 flights of stairs were very difficult for my husband. The restaurants are about 5 miles away over mountains in Spanish Town. There is no sign or address. We never would have found it if the nice young man at Virgin Gorda Car Rental hadn't lead us there.

Thank you for staying with us it was a pleasure having you and your husband. most persons prefer the stairs for the 180 degrees ocean view and Atlantic breeze. I am sorry you were uncomfortable, the first floor was an option. In regards to restaurants there are three with in our area that is five minutes away. We are working on the sign again we humbly apologize for your inconvenience we look forward to serve you in the future.

+1
The hotel is quite small, as expected. It suffered hurricane damage, which was not mentioned, so it was pretty noisy from early morning until late afternoon when workmen were re-roofing it. Also, the workmen were being housed in the better rooms, so our room was in the back with no view. We were not expecting that. I would not say "don't stay there" but I would caution you to ask about hurricane repairs so you know what to expect. The front rooms, with the views, have balconies, but the ones in the back just have patios and look out on a small garden.

We spend a week at the paradise island of Gorda.
The location of Gordian Terrace was perfect for our stay.
We had 3 rooms for our family and friends.
Our hostess Lota Lee was sweet and very helpful.
Always ready to give a ride, if needed or give advice and arrange any type of activities or make reservation.
Rooms are very spacious and comfortable.
We would recommend Gordian Terrace and will return to this paradise spot.

The service of the staff is excellent and very welcoming throughout the stay. The hotel itself is charming and quaint being a converted house. The room itself was comfortable enough, nice bed, table and chairs to sit on ad the usual pot/coffee/tea facilities provided. Arrived in the middle of the rainy season and unfortunately showed up some of the problems of being a former house. I stayed on the 3rd floor and there was a leak somewhere through the roof and windows. Thankfully it only seemed to leak when the rain was really heavy. But otherwise the hotel was in good condition. The floor of the room was not clean enough for my liking as I walk around bare feet and picked up quite a lot of dust.
The location of the hotel is very good. Pretty much right on the tourist area of Calle Crisologo.
