We booked a one night stay here as part of a short break visit to this part of Wales. We had booked room number 3 which has a four poster bed, lovely bathroom and great views over Cardigan Bay. On arrival we were greeted and shown to our room, after which we went down to the bar/snug for a delicious...

Voucher through Groupon and got well beyond value for money as the room was great and the food was fantastic, and trust me I know and like my food! Couldn't fault anything as the staff were all very friendly and I cannot recommend it enough.

We were staying at Mick & Jane's B&B just up the road and the Ael Y Bryn was one of two places that Jane recommended as they were in walking distance, but after eating dinner at Ael Y Bryn on the first evening, we went back the second evening as well. Quite a quirky place in terms of the restaurant,...

We stayed as part of a voucher we received from a family member. We read the good reviews and booked in for a 2-night stay. We saw the close location to Portmeirion, and thought it a great base for our weekend. As soon as we arrived, we were impressed. The room was well-appointed, spacious and with a fantastic view over...

We decided to visit the restaurant in this hotel as it was a 2 minute walk from our holiday home. Staff were friendly on arrival and throughout the dining experience. We were given the option to eat in the snug or the restaurant, and initially I was tempted by the snug because of the wood burner, but as it wasn't...

We spent two nights at this hotel and really enjoyed it. The location is particularly pleasing with a great view out to the sea. The staff were charming and made the experience all the more enjoyable. The room we stayed in is in need of updating but the bed was comfortable and spotless. Breakfast was great, plenty of choice and...

Stayed two nights at this hotel. The location is great with lovely views from rooms.Staff are great and nothing is too much trouble. Little disappointed with the food in the restaurant but breakfast was lovely (chef can certainly poach eggs !!!!!) the hotel is a little tired in places but would stay again.

We recently stayed here and had an absolutely lovely time. I suffer from chronic asthma together with several allergies which have proved to be a problem when staying in hotels in the past. However Ael y Bryn proved to be very much the exception and Kimberley and Kevin were marvellous with their support, particularly with regard to non bio bed...

This was our second visit to this hotel and it met our expectations. Family run, with a lovely welcome and a 'homely' feel about it. Spotlessly clean with amazing food! We ate in for breakfast and dinner and were left full with lovely food. A key asset are the staff, who really care and nothing is too much trouble. Our...

Great staff. Super food. Good location. Unfortunately the property requires a complete refurb to transform this tired and dated hotel. There are little things that would make a mile of difference - if shower gels are provided on day 1, then repeat daily. Check that there is 1 towel per room occupant and they do not have holes in.
