We have stayed at this property several times. Again this was a five star treatment from all the employees. Maria and Will at the front Desk are world class employees who attend to every detail. The pool and ocean lounge chairs are very comfortable with thick padding and the pool attendants ( all of them) were awesome. The food and drinks are fantastic. Sid at Vista was very attentive today. He and Dehemah at Vista Bar were treating all of the attendees like family. Red Sail sports on site will rent you wave runners or paddle boards and kayaks etc. The pool is great for those that want calmer waters. You cannot go wrong staying here. Top service from Bell hops to house cleaning. Be prepared to pay fair costs for a five star experience. Hermes the GM of the property knows what customer service is and trains his team to live the values of superior service.

I had a wedding party stay at the Summerhouse Marriott in Grand Cayman this past week and we had a post-wedding brunch hosted. All of the guests loved the resort and thought that the staff was so kind and the hotel had great food. I think it's top-notch and the resort amenities make the resort even more fun as you can take out beach cruisers to enjoy the rest of the island or snorkel and play with all the toys on site. I would also say with regard to the brunch the food was incredible. I opted for the Caribbean brunch and the butter bean stew was unbelievable as well as the coconut porridge. I've never had either and all the guests were blown away. We can't thank the Marriott enough for making our wedding an epic event! From hosting to feeding all of us everything was exceptional. I want to specifically thank Sandhya she did all of the bookings, arrangements and details for the brunch and our guests, thank you, Marriott she is a gem!!!!

I had a wonderful stay with my wife at the Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort from May 11-18 and an important part that distinguished our visit was the friendly and attentive service from Ms. Junita Riana Simbolon. She was a cheerful and welcoming part of the stay, sharing and guiding us with the fun program of activities available, and personally greeting us at her activity stations. She helped recommend places we should try to eat and visit, and it was heartwarming to see her warm and supportive demeanor with the happy children in the 3F children's play area.

In my many years staying at Marriott properties as a Titanium Elite Member, I come to treasure the wonderful people on the guest services team, and people like Junita are the rare gift that helps people away from home feel welcome and at ease. Please extend my warmest appreciation to Junita, she deserves an award and recognition if there are such opportunities to do so.

The hotel is a mixed bag. The best thing about it is the service - everyone goes out of their way to help and be friendly. Kudos for that! The food in the restaurants, all three of them, is also very good. Beware, the pics here are old. There is no more beach, it was washed away by a hurricane a couple of years ago and now there is only the deck without the front portion with sand that you see in the photos here. That was disappointing to some degree, although not a deal breaker. I guess it is the same for the hotels nearby, so that the Seven Miles Beach is not actually one continuous beach you can walk, you can barely see any beach at all in any direction.
In terms of location, it is not bad but beware that if you are not renting a car, taxis are VERY expensive. It is easily 20-30USD to Georgetown, 10 minutes away. The island infrastructure is built for cars so walking, although possible, is not going to be pleasant.
Other than the front deck, the hotel offer some recreational activities such as paddle boarding and kayaking. They also have one Hobie Cat but it is shared with another location so it may not be there when you want it. You have to tell them a day in advance to make sure. You can certainly snorkel right in front of the hotel but I would recommend getting on a boar with an outfitter.
In general, the island is pretty expensive, whether it is transportation, food, or services. Also be prepared to be charged $50 "resort fee" per day. Didn't they do something about these hidden fees from hotels?

Very disappointed. Two main reasons. The first was the rudeness of a number of the front staff. The second was that while the room had just been remodeled and was good sized, the bed was terribly uncomfortable. The pillows were rock hard and the bed felt like it had one of those kids mattress covers that are plastic on one side. Also, the room had one robe (had to call for the 2nd and they said most rooms only stocked with one). When I called for slippers they said they were out and this was about 10 min after the 4pm check in time. They gave us a room on the courtyard but never told us they would be doing an open hearth barbecue in the courtyard with smoke everywhere so we couldn't even use our balcony or open the sliding door.
Lastly, the doors are quite heavy with a very strong closing action so every door shutting can be heard and almost felt throughout the entire hallway. This joy started at 5:15am.
I am a Marriott Bonvoy so I can say this was a huge disappointment.

As a frequent guest at the Marriott Grand Cayman my reviews are repetitive. The very best customer oriented staff in every department. The guys at the door are most friendly, courteous,and welcoming. I feel like family when i enter the hotel. Everyone is welcoming and courteous. The front desk staff is top notch. Friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and helpful. The food and beverage staff are very accommodating. Overall the hospitality at Marriott Cayman is unmatched. Rooms and spacious, comfortable and clean. The updated rooms need a full length mirror for dressing to make them perfect. Marriott Cayman is my happy place

Jevoun at the front desk made my stay pleasant and he is very nice and amazing. He gave me exactly what I wanted. He gave me the room i wanted and everything was just the way i wanted it. He also made sure to accommodate for my fear of heights so we got a room on the lowest level possible!

My previous review was removed so I am leaving another one. The hotel has had a renovation but it was beautiful to begin with. The service and food were great. The one major factor that was a shock when we arrived was there is no beach left at this hotel. When we travel, we like to sit on the beach all day and rarely hit the pool so this was a big surprise. The staff had told us the beach was damaged from a recent storm and would eventually return but this is def not the case.

Small fridge not big enough to put more then a few water bottles. Not wide enough to put a plate of food. Might have changed since I haven't been back for a few years after experiencing the beach or lack of.
