Oceanfront property, very well kept. Nice pool area. Appartements spacious, in great condition. Large kitchen area with all the utilities necessary. Quiet area, great to relax. Friendly stuff, great experience.
Grandview is close to everything on 7 Mile Beach but has a tucked back location that is away from crowds and very quiet. Glowing accolades go to Kenesha and Sharon who were so warm and friendly and offered great advice about island dining, sightseeing, etc....More
We stayed in #411 with two adults and two babies and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. All the staff were extremely accommodating and completely rearrange the furniture in the second bedroom (removing a bed) so that we could accommodate a second crib...More

It depends on how fit you are, and how you handle the heat. There is a grocery store less than a 10 minute walk away (closed on Sundays), and we pretty easily walked into the center of George Town (about a 30 minute walk). There are also several restaurants within a 20 minute walk in both directions. You could get by without a car, if you don't mind walking in the heat, and you don't want to see the rest of the island. As for the beach, if you pick your way through the rocks, you can actually get into the ocean and swim a bit at one small piece of the condo beach (you can also easily splash your feet in the water on the sand, if that's all you want to do). The public beach is a 5-10 minute walk along the beach to the North (you have to look for the rock path around a bit of a wall, but it's there). If you get a car, there is plenty of parking, and driving on the island isn't bad at all, if you can handle being on the English side of the road.

You might want to rent a car for the day you take the remote excursions, but we did not. The taxi service is incredibly dependable and reasonable ... just call in advance, specify a pickuptime, and they'll be there! Our most expensive cab ride was $40 and that was a north island tour, ending at the bird sanctuary and Italian restaurant up there, which, by the way, was great! Very walkable location both into town and up the boulevard and hotel row on Seven Mile Beach.
