Great location, wonderful staff and AMAZING FOOD!!! We spent Easter at Pirates Point Resort and it is my favorite as an adult. Really enjoyed this secluded resort with beautiful water views. Got lost in a hammock while waiting for the ringing of the bell "Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner". If you want to see where all the stars are hanging out, they are here! Guaranteed sightings of the elusive Southern Cross!
Love this Resort! It might not be for everyone because it's not what would be considered by some as 'luxury', but for us it's perfect. It doesn't have a soft white sandy beach-front but it has a beautiful ruggedness and once you get over the seagrass it's perfect for snorkelling. It's a quiet resort without any TVs so unless you look at your ipad/iphone you can actually switch off from the real world. You won't see hordes of tourists at this resort but you are likely to see a variety of birds buzzing overhead eg frigates, pelicans and other feathered friends. It's a great place to stay if you appreciate nature. If you want some activity aside from the diving, there are bicycles for the guests to use, which are free of charge, but if you really don't want to do anything you can just lounge by the pool and enjoy the unimpeded views across the ocean. The dive operation is really slick, professional and safe. All the dive 'guides' are very experienced, knowledgeable, helpful and patient. The food at this tiny Resort is incredible - you will never be hungry while staying here! It's scrumptious, innovative and just so darn good. If you get to try Di's coconut scones for breakfast you are in for a real treat :-) also, Gokul's vindaloo is mouth-wateringly delicious. Staying here is so comfortable and is a great place to unwind and re-charge.…
The property is sublime and service superb! Pirate's Point is a magical mix of great comfort, relaxation and gourmet cuisine. All the elements of a perfect staycation! In a time when overseas travel is a challenge, we are so fortunate to be able to escape from Grand Cayman to the Sister Islands. The unbeatable hospitality of Pirate's Point revived our spirits. The atmosphere is stress free, the staff is warm and welcoming ... It was so hard to leave! We highly recommend this Little Cayman gem! We'll be going again ...soon!
We spent three wonderful days at Pirate's Point to celebrate our anniversary. These are quiet times for our islands, so instead of an-all inclusive, the resort was offering a bed and breakfast option for the weekdays we were there. The breakfasts were really enough to last us until dinner, and they were delicious and and varied and all made from scratch. We would wake up in the morning wondering what wonderful treats would be served up for breakfast that day. The pool is clean and big enough for laps, but you can also swim in the sea or drive to one of Little Cayman's stunning beaches. The island takes you back to true "island life" where everyone knows each other and looks out for each other. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful, but especially the owner and staff at Pirate's Point. The room was spacious and lovely and opened out the back to a small deck and the extensive grounds of the resort. Hammocks and recliners are placed strategically throughout, far enough apart to be private but with some in small groups. There is lots of shade, but also open areas in case you want to lie back on a recliner and gaze at the brilliant night sky. There is no light pollution in Little Cayman! The experience at the resort is truly one of being "unplugged" with no tv or wifi in the rooms. There is wifi in the main building if you need to connect with the outside world. We would definitely go back and would recommend this resort to friends. …
The location and property (along with the dives) is exceptional, but what really makes this place unique is the owner, Susan, who invites guest over to her house on the for Sushi night, and the common room where guests and staff can relax, play games, attack the open bar (lol), and enjoy getting to know people of all different types. We stayed here for about a week and enjoyed every bit of it.
