Stayed at Shalom for 10 days and we got a very good service all time. Very helpful family and provided assistance whenever possible. Wonderful breakfast and the sleeping rooms are properly equipped. The bed was comfortable and the showers fine. We recommend the guesthouse for the homely touch.
This place was clean and Cherisse (The Manager) top de top!!! Attention client amazing, a excellent place.3 days with my family. To down town was 10 min in car and 15 TT (Local Money = 3usd) U can count with the owners for everything Love it
Group of 3 of us stayed at Shalom Guesthouse for a couple of nights while in transit to the US. Cherise gave us such a warm welcome and went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable. She arranged taxis and for people to accompany us to new places. There was free wifi, air con and complementary snacks in the room. The beds were comfy and the showers were fine. The breakfast every morning was a nice touch and different every day. Really recommend for a homely place to stay for a few days.
Thank you very much to Shirley who is a wonderful person, very kind and available. I only spent one night but my boyfriend stayed more and, as he doesn't speak English, se helped him a lot! The place is out of the city, up the hill, no buses drive there, but if you don't have a car (I didn't) you can reach the place by route-car with little cost.
This trip was a group of 4 for carnival 2k14. I met up with Cherise on the check in date and it was seamless, we were provided with towels and snacks and water. There is an ensuite mini fridge. Perfect. The room is minimally furnished which is fine for the trip. A dresser, the fridge and a closet. There is Hot water and AC in each room. THe central dining are was just a regular dining area, they had tea items outside all day so you could have a hot beverage if you so desired. the breakfast was never the same each day, they served local dishes and continental style so we were not left wanting. main area also has a toaster and microwave so you can reheat food if you so desire. I walked down to the Savanna from the guesthouse. the road is a narrow one, but this is normal in the caribbean so i was not perturbed by it. it took 30 minutes and i was walking leisurely. I did not feel unsafe in the neighborhood either. Public transportation off the hill is not very frequent but it does exist. Would i stay here again? Most definitely. there is a gap at the top of the bathroom which it would be more sound proof if it was were fully enclosed and they do not have a credit card machine. apart from that, it was fine. they also provided complementary wifi…
