I stayed for one night during the Christmas period 2020. Check in was easy and the staff pleasant. We got to the room and readied for a night out. There was no bathroom tissue and a call was made to the front desk who said it would be sorted out. We returned to the hotel around midnight, still no bathroom tissue. There was no coffee in the room, only tea. We were also unable to get hot water to shower. The next morning, the water was quite the opposite - boiling hot and was unable to get it to cool down. Overall, the room was relatively clean and the beds were comfortable. The lock on the door was partially broken. The grab and go breakfast was delicious and I was happy that they had excellent Covid precautions throughout.
What was supposed to be the most wonderful time of the year went awry very quick. Made a booking under the guise of an advertisement posted about the Christmas brunch and decided to make it a stay. Due to Covid-19 we understood that precautions would be taken but at the time of booking in house dining was re- opened. Upon arrival got to find out that the package booked did not include the Christmas brunch and dining was regulated to the downstairs restaurant and it was the room service menu. To add insult to injury that night had no vegetarian options so no food for the night . After asking to speak to a manager the person at front desk told us no one was there who could help and that he couldn’t even assure that breakfast would have veggie options. Additionally he told me I should put my foot down to ensure I got what I was promised (clearly not from him) Breakfast buffet / take away option- eggs ran out bread ran out. Juices were not labeled properly god forbid someone had an allergy to grapefruit. Our entire stay the bins were never emptied no room clean no towels bed made. Three windows on the floor we stayed are not secure and there were children throughout the hotel stay. During this time when hotels should be going out their way to promote local stays to generate income Radisson you dropped the ball big time. Covid has made things globally challenging but a little ingenuity and adapting can go a long way. Customer Experience Manager / management may be what Radisson is lacking. (Blue Ocean Brain ) Ending on a positive the food service staff that was there were over worked but never let it show, they did all they could with the limited resources they had trying to make everyone’s experience pleasant.…
I was not pleased to see an overflowing garbage can next to the sink to wash your hands. Check in was chaotic but i did manage to get a room with a king bed. Other areas of the hotel were clean. My room was very dated, could use a bit of sprucing up. Was disappoimted the room didnt have a balcony or microwave. The bathroom was small and the ceiling was very low, I could literally touch it with my hands. Tge breakfast to my surprise was very good, not usually imto the usual pancakes and hash browns but the local stuff was fantastic. The pool area was large and clean. I difmd have to pre-book an hour at the pool due to COVID. The store with drinks and snacks was convenient but expensive, highly recommend taking a rideshare to Massy Stores to get what you need. Check out was really quick and they did give me a 2pm late check out. All in all I would return but maybe only for a weekend, not longer. I am a Marriott Gold member and prefer the Marriott group. The Courtyard POS was closed and will be closed for the rest of the year. The purpose of this trip to Radisson was to check to see if I would be comfortable for my upcoming 8 night vacation in November, sadly I would not stay longer than a weekend at the Radisson.…
With the presence of covid 19 worldwide, there should be better rate to attract the local week day and weekend market. The food quality should be the same throughout. Family are looking for nearby resorts and hotel for quick getaway . On arrival. A welcome drink should be given. There is no drinking water in the Rooms.
Impeccable service! The chef was really friendly and those bbq wings!!! I just had to order some to take away on my departure!! To Ms. Kareesa, the front desk staff, you are amazing! Keep up the excellent work! She made sure to check up on us ever so often to ensure everything was okay. Room, view, everything... 10/10
